Sup everyone! Announcing a tournament In Memphis Tn... There will be a $5.00 Venue fee and $5.00 to enter each tournament. The Venue is a a resturaunt which might seem weird to most, but we get all the perks that come with it. All types of beverages will be sold!!!! There will be some type of food there as well. Tournament rules: When:Sunday November 15th....(Why Sunday you ask? Most people I asked around here and other cities, they don't work on Sunday's so it just seemed better to do it on a Sunday!) Where: Las Delicias 3727 S.Mendehall rd. Memphis, Tn, 38115 Time: Registration and Casuals will be from 10:00am til 12:00pm. Tournament will begin at 12:00pm SHARP! Venue fee and payouts: $5.00 for Venue and to enter each tournament it's also $5.00!!! Second place will get there money back and 1st place will get the rest of the pot! Street Fighter 4 Singles Tournament: Double Elimination. 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches. Winner must keep the same character and looser can change characters in between matches! There are no banned characters! Stages will be set to random. Tekken 6 Singles Tournament: Double Elimination. 3/5 rounds, 2/3 matches. Winner must keep same character and looser can change characters in between matches. I am not 100% sure about banned characters or banned stages, but as of right now lets just say there are no banned characters and no banned stages. Random stages please! More rules: This is BYOC(bring your own controller/stick/converter). Lets please not hold up the tournament because you don't have your own controller. Also, please don't wonder off without letting me know! We will not hold up tournament cuz your AWOL! If you can bring a FULL setup please do so. Venue fee will be waived! Please post up if you can bring a full setup with either game. thx! side tournaments can be ran at people's request. Guilty Gear, BlazBlue etc..etc.. That's all I can think of right now. Well guys, I am trying to find a Venue for 14th of November to host a tournament for us! The 14th is a Saturday! I have secured a Venue for the 15th which is a Sunday. My question is Saturday better for for everyone or Sunday????? Tournament games will be T6, SF4, and GG!

Gotta weigh those options out. It might be a little more expensive to fly, but you only travel for 2 hours and 15 minutes. If you drive it's 6 hours there and back! FUCK IT....Road trip to ATL in March!

I was just talking to the Family travel agent and I asked him how much would tickets cost from Memphis to Atlanta around March 10th thru the 15th. ( That is around the time for Final Round.) He said he can get tickets for $89 ddlrs round trip if we get them before 2010! That shit is cheap as fuck! I might take this route!

Well guys, I got a Venue for a little tournament when T6 drops!( T6 and SF4 tourney!) It's a restaurant but we get all the good shit that comes with it! Lets all agree on a date! It has to be a SUnday! There will be a 5 dllr Venue fee! There will be plenty of cheap drinks and alcoholic beverages for those who like! Suggestions/Comments?

Question Lil Majin or anyone who can help!! Neither with Eddy nor Christie can I pull this combo off and I don't know why. Everyone on Zaibatsu says its can be done! The combo should go like this.... qcf3 (for launcher) 1, b33, rlx2,3_f3. Now, when doing this combo, the rlx2,3 does not connect!!!!! However, if i don't hit the 1 punch after launcher I land the combo. WTF? Obviously i'm missing something? Also, just simply doing counter hit d/f+2 connects the b33, rlx2,3_f3 but also does not connect the 1 punch. I trained alot yesterday and got my wall pusher combos down pretty good. Insert launcher, then df/1,1x3 works really good with eddy. Not to mention, insert launcher, d/f1, d/f11, 1244. I'm still trying to learn and sorry for the newb questions!!!

Good Shit to Flymike, Lil Majin, and Gene for winning those! I know Ernie and Severin Host alot but sometimes, house sessions can get pretty cramped so I am working on finding us a Venue! It might be a restaurant, or it could be the club house at my apts. Never the less, we should all try and see what Venue's could be available! I will stop by Gorilla Games today and see what the Owner is talkin about over there! We will probably have to share space with the FPS guys but I think we can get along! (hopefully). Regardless, as soon as I know something, you guys will know!

Tekken question. Pardon my scrubbiness I am having trouble with Christie after connecting( insert any juggler before) b3,3... I don't really know what comes next in certain match-ups. Basically this is a little combo i'm trying to work on: RLX, 3~4,b33,f2,3,ss4,3 is this even possible? It seems to work on larger characters sometimes, but not on smaller ones. the f+2 doesn't connect all the time after b3,3! Is this common in tek or am i completely fucking it up? p.s. that f+2 could just be 2. I think if i press f she rolls out! Can't really remember but i'm trying to learn the game! Also, I am very proud of myself learning this combo to perfection last night.(I know this might be very easy but bare with me fuckers! I just started playing) RLX,4~3,4,2,2,db2,3 YEAH MIKE...your not winning amymore! yo boy is doin his homework! I learned to Side Step and dash cancels and all that good shit! Now I just gotta learn how to block, get up, walk correctly, character match-ups, frame data, tech rolls, parry, spacing, poking, DAMN. I got a long way to go. Nevermind, your still winning! LOL

Very well said , When i wrote that about Lil Majin I meant it in a "Short term goal" way. Specifically for SF4! Long term goal is ofcourse to win!!! As you said...... 1--dame this nigga just Microwaved Majin....how the fuck am i going to beat him...i can barely get a round of in practice... or 2-...dame Majin, you just got yo ass kicked....nah let me show you how to kick his ass.. This is that mind set i was talking about. For Instance. If you, ZeroGen, are ranked higher than I am cool. We get to a tournament and some dude beasts you! By nature, per say, I am suppose to lose to this guy right? Wrong! Each player has distinct styles of play as well as adaptability. I am in agreeance with you sir! These are some of those pressured situations i was trying to refer to! Not to mention the nervousness!!! We all basically have to do something to level up! I think weekly gatherings can be accomplished! We should start on that route!

LOL at Flymikes post. Shout-outs to all who were at Fun Fair Yesterday! Sorry I couldnt stay longer and I had to take the set-up. That won't happen again. In other news, I have been talking to some people about starting a Ranbat here in Memphis. IMO, it is a good way to level up and as Gene says, we ALL need more tournament pressured situations! The Espada Ranking system is a good example of what we should implement into T5dr,(until T6 drops) SF4, and other game that people are playing. For those who don't travel or just don't know, alot of cities don't take Memphis so seriously. Even we, ourselves, sometimes down our own city or simply don't have that enthusiasm that we should. There is definetly MAJOR fucking talent in this city. I feel like the Memphis scene is growing and our experience and talent should grow with it. I have gotten this question from a few...Why Rank ourselves? 1. We are all to comfortable playing each other which is a good. We should share strategies and help out the scrubbier players such as myself! With that knowledge and information we should strive to beat each other in a tournament pressured situation! Hence the ranking system! 2. As most know. I like to travel and alot of us have plans to travel to different tourney's in the near future. These Ranking battles will prepare us in terms of, High pressured situations, adapting quickly to different styles of play, and general nervousness. I don't know about you guys, but I get hella nervous in a tournament and I don't know why! It fucks up my exectution, my focus starts fading away, and I lose!!!! I lose the match/round before the match/round ends! I defeated MYSELF before the other player beats me. 3. State of Mind.... this is more of a question rather than an explanation. How do you prepare yourself mentally before a big match/tournament????? I guess everyone has there own niche, but I am willing to bet that if we rank ourselves it will definetly help! 4. Braggin Rights!!!!! Pure competition spirit! Instead of battling on a money match, battle for a position/braggin rights! First to tens will tell us if we can consistently beat the opposing player. After your matches, talk about what went on. Share information so that during the week you can tweak your gameplan. Strive to beat that person next week! If you suceed, then the opposing player has something to lok foward to and vise versa! 5. Imagine going to a tournament and Memphis takes top 5 in everything we play!!! I have and always will Rep my city to the fullest! By preapring, we won't look like Memphis has talent going to waste! 6. What are your gaming goals????? What does everyone strive for???? I know i'm starting to sound like a fucking preacher but I just hate thinking that I am playing a video game for nothing! 7. I would just like to tell everyone that ya'll are a bunch of cool dudes! Before I started getting competetively, I would have never though to meet so many people in Memphis with similar interest. That being said, I will tell you my goal..... This is pure wishfull thinking and competetive spirit....I want to beat Lil Majin in SF4 and hopefully T6! I'm sure he knows what I mean with this! I'm not calling him out, nor in anyway is this a bad thing! Lil Majin is a great player and I want to compete with the best there is. Atleast give him a run for his money! I also want to consistently beat Shinbalde in SF4 and T6! Bishop too! And everyone else that plays these games competetively. These are my goals!!! I need to prepare to get here! SO i will STFU now and let you guys chime in!
