Think I won 4/6 of the matches I played against him, so can't argue with that. Maybe I'm just not used to Chie's oki setups, I don't think I've actually played against another Chie for comparison. Having more problems with Liz and the occasional Naoto than anyone else currently.

Lol I see I'm not the only person who keeps getting matched up against FRAUD_POLICE's Chie. He/she has some scary oki.

[P4A] Kanji Tatsumi Gameplay Discussion "Brofisting is in!"
Qaenyin replied to A.X.I.S.'s topic in Kanji Tatsumi
Any suggestions for dealing with Elizabeth? Having a lot of problems with her and to a lesser extent Naoto because Kanji's horizontal movement is so anemic that it's hard to get in through the pushback of Liz's beams and Naoto's gun shots(although Naoto isn't nearly as bad as Liz). Once I get in I can ruin their day but it feels like Liz can literally just spam beams and I can't move forward faster than they push me back or jump over them because of how tall they are. I guess I could sj.214B but that's eems like an incredibly risky crapshoot. -
So right now tentative date is June 23rd, about a month after NWM. Games I'm looking at having run are BB, GG, MB, UMVC3, KOF13. Considering SF2012 and Gundam if we can get setups(Gundam is an import and so I'd need people to bring copies, also I don't have a PS3 or 360 personally). It'd be at one of the halls in PSU downtown. Main concerns atm are these: Number of games are dependant on number of setups. Venue is cake, I can get a room capable of fitting 100 people(more if necessary but 100 is the size limit I'm assuming is most suitable for this location). However while I can supply a computer for melty and/or streaming, converters for peoples' sticks for melty, and a PS2 for GG and a TV for GG, I don't have any setups for current-gen games(which is part of why I'm curious about interest). Who could bring setups and for which games? I don't mind throwing in some cash to buy a copy of a few of the games but I can't afford to provide 360/PS3 setups. Ideally I'd like there to be a total of 5-10 current-gen setups, exactly how many we get determines how many games can have pools going at once and how many games in general we can fit in the tourney(more setups=faster pools=time for more games, obv). Once I have the logistics more set in stone I'll set up a reservation at PSU and make a tourney thread w/ signups.

So I've been considering hosting a general FG tourney in Portland sometime around mid June, before I start making venue arrangements I was curious about a couple of things: A: What kind of games would you all like to see there? B: Who would be interested in going?(Trying to get a ballpark idea of interest so I know how large of a venue to rent out).
-
One question I'd like to raise regarding this: When the game is new I can see this, does this plan to be addressed if MBAACC turns out to be a heavily limited run game with, say, only a few hundred copies printed and never distributed standalone? God forbid, since I doubt ecole would pull that, but still, it's strange to bundle a game free with something else.

At least your main is on the tier list!

Only thing that makes me worry is if this game will suffer from Fate/Unlimited Codes syndrome. Essentially, characters will be so broken and combos will be so long and do so much damage that it'll make matches boring.
-
Not only is it a whole other kind of software, but 90% of the coding was already done for them. NScripter is probably the most well documented VN engine out there. Edit:Also localizing this is almost completely unneeded anyways. It's a PC fighting game, so there's nothing to prevent people from importing it. Admittedly localizing it would help advertise it, but nothing advertises fighting games more than hype matches, really, provided the game is at least accessible to people without massive inconvenience(MBAA being a good example of an inaccessible game due to difficulty and cost of importing console games).
-
Clearly this is yomi:The fighting game. It has counters that counter counters for countering counters to counters.

If I'm Kennyon I'm sorry to disappoint you but I don't play BB And yeah Xie I'll take you on. FT5 5$?

I'm reserving my hotel room on wednesday. PM me within the next couple days if you want to use the room so we can arrange stuff. I've still got room for up to 2 people in the hotel room but it has to be done soon. Wait too long and you have to sleep on the floor
-
On the subject of hotels, I'm planning to reserve a room at the Nash Hotel for 27th+28th nights. If anyone wants to share the cost I don't mind upsizing the reservation to get a bigger room, however I'd need to know within the next 2 weeks-ish so I have time to make the reservation. Willing to room with up to 2 other people(max of 2 beds and I don't care if I sleep on the floor, I won't be using the room for anything but sleeping and storing clothes+having a shower anyways). If anyone is interested PM me or something and we can discuss arrangements. Edit:Also with the above poster on that, read some ugly reviews on the Cal and that's why I picked the Nash myself.
-
I may not be able to go either then, that more or less doubles or more the cost of traveling to NorCal for me.
-
For clarification is that the date for NorCal Install proper or just HitConfirm? Or are they all just going to be on the same day? I'm getting confused and can't tell if the aug/sept/october decision is for the date of the next Norcal Install, for Minor Install, for Hitconfirm, or is Install being replaced with Minor Install, or what?
-
I can't be around after Sept, so it'd have to be either last weekend of aug or first weekend of sept for me. I'm cool with either but I'd prefer sept.
-
So I talked to my friends in the Portland scene and it looks like they can't go on August 28th. I can still but it'd be a lot more expensive to do room and board without splitting it with someone, so +1 thumbs up for Sept 4th. Not sure which would be easier for everyone else, I know that PAX is that weekend so for most people it may be easier to do the 28th instead.
-
Well its been a while but I think I can come down from Oregon again for some melty and bring one or two of the local GG/MB players with me, as long as the tournament is the weekend of the 24th or later. I gotta agree with most of the other guys here, 5 PM sounds like major anti-hype. If delaying the tourney a week or two would let us roll till a normal time of like 8 or 9 PM that would probably be worth it, imo at least.
-
You should main Neco Arc, we can set up a 2v2 tourney and beam everyone to death. Hype as hell tourney though guys, gonna have to come down again in a few months if I can scrub together the money. Nice to see MBAA getting attention too.

Just out of curiosity:I can do Hakumen j.B->Throw and it appears to combo validly(red beat). However the ! over the target's head is red instead of green. Does this mean anything inparticular?
