But I feel that they need that FG support to finance it, Overture (yes I bought it), outside of Japan was a big financial failure. Maybe I'm a lone naive rider on this but I'll still push the BB envelop for GG. That and the community that BB has been able to build in the city. Godlike. As far as nesica goes, I'm hoping Aksys finds a loop hole around this all. Or arcades will fade as Kousaka puts it. But the entirety of nesica seems to serve as a complete disregard for the rest of the FG animu playing world. I know "ASW gets most of their profits from Japan". But without us their sales for BB wouldn't be 4 times as much as GG. It would stay the same, which is dumb, only shooting themselves in the foot. Leaving N.A high and dry arcade wise.

Apologies if what what I said came off in the wrong way. It looked like the old gg=/=bb hate. Initially the arguement that tofu posed wasn't how I read it. And I'm not defending the game on the grounds of it should be a top priority for you guys to get it at gety. Unless they figure some alternative to nesica. Anyways, maybe I'm too much of an optimist but I'm not really going to assess the game yet. But it does certainly seem to be going that way.

I'm not saying everyone's damage is going to be shit. But the game just came out, there's a reason why I refrain from saying anything until like a month later. What don't know what stuff players will discover with the cast as the game goes on. Although I enjoyed continuum shift the most.

How is BB going from your perspective exactly and what about it bothers you? I know you said "no broken shit is lame". Because from what I'm reading, I'm liking the direction the game is headed. I'm well aware T.O is different from the MTL scene in fighting games. I would have to be an idiot not to realize that.

What will happen with BBCS2 in the western world really depends on what Aksys plans on doing with regards to nesica (am I spelling it right?). Provided they can find a loop hole around such expenses then we will very yet see BBCS2 in North American arcades. The nesica thing is stupid, since people don't like to be stratified, which is exactly what nesica is doing. Which is creating problems as stunedge put in his posts about bbcs2. CS2 in itself sounds like its a harder game, which is what GG was all about (with some broken shit). But BB didn't work well with broken shit and no one took it seriously outside of the community (Calamity Trigger). I mean if I remember correctly, although I stopped playing GG, AC was pretty balanced. yea testament/eddie/slayer/millia were/are clearly better than the rest. But doesn't mean they couldn't be defeated, haku v.s arakune in ct was just plain fucking stupid.

I don't speak in terms of arcades and what not. I speak on non arcade format of competitive play and purchases. I am obviously aware that arcades are dying. But I'm saying is support the scene. I would beg to differ about the amount of people who have gone on to try GG. I've read about a lot of people who want to try try it out. And seen a handful of people come to me to ask about GG after seeing it and etc. Can't really argue with the whole issue of fiber optic cables being necessary for BBCS2 and what not. Arcade purchases I can't argue with, but dropping the game after cs2 was just released. Just doesn't sit well with me. Not to be an ass K2. But that's obvious, there's no other reason the scene is bigger. I just don't go and brag about it.

This mentality I hate. You wanna know the reason you don't quit. It's to support the scene. Think about it in a macro long term perspective, GG was and still is (less so thanks to BB) unknown to the fg community. BB sells 4 times as much as GG did world wide. They need to make money, if they don't have that money how do you expect them to work on the next installment? Think about how much more people are aware of GG now thanks to BB, I for once am surprised at how much people are more enthusiastic to learn GG now after experiencing BB. I know GG is amazing, if I said otherwise I might as well spit in God's face. And playing GG makes you want to play BB less that is true as well, but it's up to us as consumers to support the scene and what ASW is trying to do. They already told us not to give up on GG yet, they're working on something. But whatever it is won't come out if we stop buying/playing BB. SO stay easy, stay hungry GG will come back, but that defeatists mentality won't help. NOT buying BB won't help out GG any further. It's not like BB is the first of the new generation of filtered games; mvc3 is slower than mvc2, ssf4 is slower than sf3rdstrike, BB is slower then GG. While I can't speak for capcom and where they're headed, but ASW is well aware that they're GG franchise wasn't easy to get into. So give BB the push it needs for all of us to see Ky Kiske Guilty Gear again. Look around all of you, and tell me to my face monitor that the Canadian animu fighter scene hasn't expanded since BB. NOW, onwards to real issues. I think me and unsanc need to collectively troll all the Canadian threads on dustloop. Thoughts on this, I feel it's a greater at hand.

GG2 is a good game, I played it with panda when I first got live. Overture was the precise and only reason I have an xbox. If it wasn't this game I would have a ps3, better hardware period. If you disagree you're technologically ignorant. Anyways, I'll be honest I wasn't going to buy the game until i saw Ky (my GG main), until I saw him I was thinking to myself "well Ky isn't in it, so I'm not buying, but because it's GG I'll give it a try". Only until I saw ky did I decide to buy it and an xbox. When I saw ky I flipped, so I could imagine the same for everyone else who plays GG. But; 1. it's not a fighter, so I'm the only one who plays the game among the people I know 2. the GG mains of my friends, except for one of my friends isn't in the game 3. it's exclusive to the xbox, not many GG players have an xbox (AC+ is ps2 exclusive) 4. VERY big learning curve that even after I played it for like 6 months I still was fairly below average in skill level 5. reviewers gave it a shit rating, making it harder for the game, but that's because once it's not a FPS/NOT a fighting game from Capcom it'll get a mediocre rating at best. If I had irl people to play the game with, I would play it even more. But I don't, so I play BB which is more interactive beyond stupid online play (yes I hate netplay, in fighters). Something that would've kept me hooked to the game was if it had a 1on1 versus mode. I would've preferred that since I could go 1on1 with people. Not having the entire cast apart from Ky and Sol REALLY killed it. I really enjoyed the game nevertheless, despite its insane learning curve. Hopefully if GG comes back when can can a more coherent story like that of Overture and with Raven still being playable and That man being made playable finally.
