  1. THIS IS MADNESS 5d is fucking fast, and 5c barely has any projectile autoguard frames (I think like 3 or so).
  2. For instance spike chaser (if that's what it's called), can be cut with 4c of j2c (jumping backwards). 4c from what I've seen when japanese players are going at it, can be to hit spike chaser and either allow you to get in closer or well timed so that by the time the blades come out lambda gets hit with a void in her face. The blade wheel, well occasionally go for a 3c, don't do it too often because I think lambda can do her portal sword super as a cancel.
  3. Pretty much this, the main change in this match up is that you can cut projectiles and you need to learn which to cut, and which c move to use. You really need to learn how to block in this match up as well.
  4. Not much I can say on helping you with this match-up, we only recently got a solid lambda player. But, utilize either hopping or super double jumping to get in close. The crescent slash or wtv, if I understand correctly is -8 on block, so it should be punishable on IB. If you manage to land an IB try 5b to punish, if not just block it, she has time to land which would be a good time to get in close on her for damage.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqwO7n2INCc Against ragna and other RTSD oriented characters you need to be more active because otherwise it'll be them rushing in on you and you can't really do anything especially online. Occasionally use 4c (it's not as safe of a move as it looks), more so use jc very close to the ground, it'll punish them trying to get in and very close to the ground will make it harder for ragna to 6a you out of the air. However, don't constantly use jc everytime you jump because otherwise it will get obvious and he'll find a way around it. Also when you jump make sure to barrier everytime since ragna can run in anytime and try an AA on you. Be more on the defensive until you have about 3-4 stars, preferably 4 though, until you see a chance to punish a mistake of his beforehand, in which case 2 stars to be sufficient since you should be able to like a c attack to the enma combo. Online make sure to barrier when ragna's pressure gets too much, it'll push him back allowing you the space to try moves like 5b when an attack whiffs. IAD'ing when he's down and then barrier blocking is a great way to bait dp's on his part, after about 2-3 (pending on the opponent) and punishing him for missed dp's (before going for punishments make sure to observe his heat because he may rc into a jc). He'll become more prudent of firing away a dp, allowing you to play a nice close range frame trap game on ragna. but don't just mash 6a/b, find opportunities to tk moves like tsubaki, and combo with it, preferrably in corners. On wake up I would suggest tk hotaru since it pretty much beats anything ragna can do to you on wake up and if blocked, you can activate a surprise jd, getting hit by either will make ragna more cautious in attacking you during wake up. This should help, playing against ragna is one of my better match ups since, me and my friend constantly play each other.
  6. Not working during the school year. But I don't think they would give me a good quality stick for free/cheap either. If they would I would be all for it, cus then after mid terms I could step up to learning stick, my friend who is on concordia's basketball team says the only big hurdle is relearning your characters, he's been a stick player for over a year now. I'm trying to get him into blazblue too.

  7. That being said (and thank you btw) How about this one: http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73047 Why is it considered b+ tier, unlike it's tournament edition besides the fact that the tournament edition has different gears.
  8. You can just say Blade, that's what everyone calls me. Good stuff Mike, much appreciated. It would be impossible for it to clash anyways, one is a dp attack the other is a grab, I've never seen an invincible grab clash with a non grab invincible attack. or at least not that I have ever seen in a GG/BB match before. I would think there would be a way to at least delay hotaru since AC doesn't have much invincibility can't remember how many frames though. Seems like the tager match-up is a bit tricky to get tager out, looks like it comes down to good ol fashion training working on AA's on tager.
  9. Question: If I buy a 6 way button config'ed stick like: http://www.amazon.ca/Xbox-360-Fighting-Stick-EX/dp/B000V02P6Q/ref=sr_1_22?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1287544508&sr=1-22 Would my gameplay get fucked up if I suddenly played on a madcatz 8 button config? I am kinda in charge of my cities BB community, and it would look good if I started playing on a stick. I am currently broke and I just spent the last 10 minutes looking at the sticks tier list and looking at prices, and including the fact that I live in Canada. I am a 360 user but we all know that tournament standards are on the ps3, meaning that I either but a ps3 stick with a x-converter to play on my 360 or a 360 stick that has a similar design to of a generic ps3 stick. Thanks.
  10. Just something that I can play on both systems with ease, so I don't need to be accomodated. I'm currently looking stuff up on a break now, I'll see what I can do depending on the prices I see. Madcatz pad or stick, if I get a stick I'll still need a converter for my friends who have ps3's though >_> but I could also buy 2 madcatz fighitng pads, I've just been reading that they don't last very long. And I train A LOT especially after mid terms. And a stick user for a head guy for the bb community would look good for the group as a whole.

  11. Np, brice has a vid on youtube posted of him playing someone's valkenhayn. I have more stuff to test out though, and there are a number of things I plan on testing against valk. I'm thinking currently of getting a new remote though, not having a ps3 is troublesome. But I don't have enough money for a stick >_> EDIT: I'll try to look into a way of getting a madcatz fightingpad, that way no matter what system I play on I'll be good.

  12. Hey Mike, we are talking about wake up options against gadget finger with hakumen, it seems that someone said that tager has a few options against hakumen according to you: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?7883-CS-Hakumen-vs-Tager/page4 Could you please provide is with more detailed explanation of this? Thanks.

  13. Kk, I guess I need to watch my spacing then. I might start experimenting with 6c pending on spacing as an AA.
  14. Hotaru is a pretty safe option when you're that close to tager when you think about it. I usually get a FC combo agisnt tager if I manage a tk hotaru after gadget finger. But then again MikeZ is the man, but if that is the case then hakumen really doesn't have any options against tager when he does gadget finger. My only issues with my local tager right now is his jump ins since I get CH outta the air when I try to super jump cancel jc. I guess I'll have to start incorperating 2c during his jump ins. I'm kinda on a bb hiatus due to school, so I can't go into training mode. Can someone test any safe cancels from 2c, since it's recovery is average and I'm pretty sure tager can get in a 360a/b if he barriers hakus 2c while he's magnetized.
  15. Ok, so you ment reversal options and ability to get out of mix ups. Defense to me is how much you can block/take hits.
  16. K, then add me, I mainly play offline, but I can still give you pointers if that is what you're looking for. It's better to just tk hotaru no? Since it is safe on block, fatal counters , and is safe against any of his grabs including AC. I haven't played a tager who does 5/2a after gadget finger though so correct me if I'm wrong. Drives are too risky in my opinion.
  17. How does bang have shit defense when he has 11500 health and 6 primers, that's the third best defense in the game.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81UsUolYlBw @ 2:56 watch carefully to see how far they walk, 2d has VERY tight timing for its combos in cs compared to ct.
  19. Wow, mind doing a quick general impressions when you get the chance?
  20. It's how I found out that 2c doesn't cut projectiles as well. That's what I often do if I find myself having free time, test things out. Also I tested that if hotaru clashes with ragna's cI.D, you have enough time to activate a jd, the timing is tough though, since I got cs I only landed it once or twice against shahied. It takes quick on point reflexes for that, you always gotta be ready for zanshin use bro:eng101: Well that's it for now, I can't say ALL my secrets.

  21. Are you talking about ultimate ninja storm 2, and he did come to hq once but none of you guy came if not really late. So until shahied came, my ragna friend they thought that no one comes. Which is why we need to maintain the scene so that we don't lose people. Why don't you invite him to a player room, that way you all can get match up experience, gabe has ZERO knowledge on range characters so playing A.M would do him good. You need to learn to screw around in training mode, like test the "what if"s of the game like "what if this and this super were started at the same time? Or "what if I did 6s to bang's 2d while its active, will I be able to counter, can I use yukikaze/akumetsu before it activates?". That's how you learn things, I don't just practice combos I practice scenerios, and cancels. It's how I learned that hotaru even if it whiffs you can still do tsubaki, or that even if hotaru is blocked you can still do jd in case of a retaliatory attack.

  22. I love me some mind games, maybe I will stick to haku, I AM used to zoning since I mained Ky in GG.
  23. Well then next time gabe comes to sfhq, you should play him his bang is fairly solid now. You gotta try stuff out in training mode, make sure to use 4c at MAX RANGE too. It's not hard to iad over it.

  24. Are you upper east coast?
  25. What he said, I like the patience behind his fighting style.
