  1. Wow, glad to know you're alive. Well over the summer I was put into academic probation due to poor grades by my university, but I have also been assessed with a learning disability. Thus the reason for poor grades, comboed with me working part time. Recipe for disaster. I just got out of midterm mode today, I feel a lot better than last year's semesters. I am also taking a computer course to boost up my GPA (I'm a self taught, and aided by my dad, computer nerd). So hopefully I can get myself out of probation, if not I am kicked out for a year. I am also basically in charge of my cities BB scene now lol. So exhausted due to all of this, my only outlet is BB, my gf is great, but nothing like a night of intense BB fights. How about you and your financial issues?

  2. What projectile specifically, I tried most projectiles against 2c and none of them were cut. Tomorrow I'll be sure to try hazama's j2d,since that's why spark cut with 2c. So I would appreciate knowing what was the projectile you cut. But to be fair if 2c can't cut tsubaki's projectile then it's not viable to use outside of combos then. I mean that projectile is so slow it makes Order Sol's block head buster look like stun edge...
  3. Cancels, while they may be simple, reading them isn't the same as seeing it, especially reading about what cancels into what and seeing it. Anyone who plays fighters, knows about cancels, but someone new to the genre wouldn't know about it. Only one I could think of at the moment, doing homework at the moment:8/:
  4. I'm starting to get the feeling it was simply a developers error, there's no reason for 2c to have such terribad cutting ability (if any at all). Hopefully this is fixed in cs2.
  5. I would only advise playing against ragna, to get used to performing your combos under pressure, his a.i I find is the least abused among the rest of the cast. Jin's a.i only spams dp's and fireballs. Ragna's amazingly fast dp's teach you to barrier block in the air as well. Contrarily, having ragna on low a.i will not provide you with that pressure you need to truly get the hang of performing your combos. Hence, why I said max difficulty, learning to punish the computers missed dp's as you would see in an actual match, and learning to zone in order to build stars. As well as getting used to the new zanshin combos. It worked for me, ask sophis about my offline skills. Concepts are different from combos. Concepts I find at least, can only truly be understood by watching AND reading it.
  6. Learning combos is like learning concepts at school, everyone learns differently. For me, I'm a visual learner (I'm in the top 5 percentile for 20-25 year olds in terms of image reproduction). But, my reading comprehension skills are wickedly poor (learning disability level) so I can't learn combos from reading it, they confuse and irritate the shit out of me. Hence, why just find combos vids every time I get my hands on the latest GG/BB and grind out the combos. Reading the combos don't work for me, and actually seeing the combos you can watch closely and carefully where the timing and inputs lie. If you're in school use the same methods that allows to become most receptive to what you need to know. And finally, you need to practice those combos in live combat, I like putting the the games difficulty at hell and then go into training mode with ragna on 100 comp difficulty. Also set heat and health to no regenerate, this is a quick way of getting into that comfortable zone with you combos, then do the combos against REAL people. That's how I have learned to play GG/BB for every installment. Learning fighters is like taking a new class, you can't just work hard, you have to work smart:eng101: Hope that helps.
  7. The secret unbeknownst to most players is "training mode", with that said: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbL6C18OD5o&p=C0956445C53F73A9&playnext=1&index=31 Enjoy. Watch. And. Learn:eng101: Real talk watching these vids taught me all of hakumens combos along with just trying random shit out in training mode.
  8. Only mods can change thread titles. Interesting info about hop specials, I'll start using hops when/if I get an arcade stick.
  9. How about: "The Justice Chat"? When do you guys find it is the best time to do hop tsubaki/hotaru, and when to tk it? I personally see no real use for hop specials except to make them fear you hopping, tk is quicker to use and more effective than hop specials, thoughts? EDIT: NO. We aren't mu/lambda/nu.
  10. Me, just trying to survive mid terms. Not today, tomorrow I'll be available though, I haven't played you in an extremely long time. Do you still even main haku?

  11. Real talk spark, I checked the frame data too, and that's why it had me skeptical on its accuracy since, I tested 2c on several projectiles before posting about 2c's "deficiencies" before, tests included tsubaki's slow ass aerial one. The most I've 2c do, is clash it physically attributed projectiles like ouroboros, other than that it was a ch on hakumen. I'll have to test out that scenerio though, why do you suppose 2c is like that spark? LOL I was asking for that wasn't I?
  12. Fuck Frank West too, he's a bitch ass nigga...
  13. Seems like it no.
  14. Sorry what was I thinking, I forgot how impractical it is lol.
  15. Broken much? Hmm, could be interesting. That would be interesting, but we lack a carl/tsubaki/ definite noel/makoto/tao/ and probably platinum users. But I like the idea, I like new experiences, this is a new experience.
  16. WTF Does this mean? Sounds just about right. Sounds uncomboable now too.
  17. Probably, sounds good on paper.
  18. Only broken if you know how to use it.
  19. Because it has higher damage output than 2d now, I've been trying to incorperate it into my counter game, but it's all for naught if the attack doesn't even do anything now. It has no use if it doesn't DO any damage AND you can't combo off of it. Man, I am REALLY whining and bitching about 6d...:8/: Our playing level is getting up there, give the community some credit, ramio has wicked mind games that fucked me over into using yukikaze, kirbster is probably our best lambda player and got past elimination round with RACHEL in the last tournament. Brice is the montreal version MikeZ, everyone seems to love watching me play because of the way I use counters lol. I'm not trying to hype myself up but those are our top players so far, we may not be at the toronto level but we are getting there and our community is getting bigger. Our main problem isn't that BB isn't popular, it's too many niggas have too little money to come out and play and make the scene hype, so they instead join team Axis' Team NAH's instead. Which is unfortunate, but I've been doing my best to bring in more people, if we all can do that like when we play online we could build a bigger ocmmunity. Wow, 40-45, no wonder everyone saw it as an upset when I beat second place of otakuthon twice in the tournament eh? Kinda funny, because I didn't see it as a big deal:v: Anyways, that's really dumb, I would say a majority of BB players are on psn. You guy really need to do your best to play level 4 connection online players, I mean you saw the guy I brought in the first week, that tager player lives an hour away from MTL. But he still came out to support the community. It's people like him that we need, and shirakii wasn't of any use, I still don't know what happened to him. How?
  20. We just recently had a tournament, we aren't that big of a community yet since we on paper have almost 30 members in our sub forum on DL, but we got too many NAH's (niggas at home). This is keeping our community from getting bigger, our last tourney had 12-15 people who attended. The last CS tourney before that I am unaware of how many attended, since I was too broke to go. I'm pretty much in charge of the BB community now, so I'll be doing my best to pull in more people and have more tournaments in the future, check sophis' sig to check up whats new in our community Probably. I'm more of a serious person irl (although I don't show it), haku is my alter ego, my other personality is ky. EDIT: Now back on topic, just either allow for some level of combo-ability for zanshin OR give them solid static damage and I'll stop being a little bitch and complaining about his counters. SO far I like the way haku is turning out, he's getting faster in a sense. having a character that strictly defensive wasn't really my thing. Since, it meant that being offensive was very difficult to do.
  21. I wouldn't mind that either, and 6d better do shit, other than that I like his changes, specifically his faster slashes, gives him more of a samurai feel. Which is teh main concept he's based on. Lol it looks like hakumen players not only tend to be mature and manly, but also intellectuals as well.
  22. Intellectual show off >_> It's still fucking dumb if you can;t combo off 6d, unless they added damage to it. Or less it's as useless as ragna's cs2 gauntlet hades (which hits mid now in case you didn't know). If slashes are faster it'll be easier to approach the opponent, and also easier to cut projectiles. In theory if they are all faster, then IB>slash is possible instead of 2a/b, 5b. That's my input, if 6d can't deal any damage and remains simply a girly push. I don't care what buffs added to haku, it's still stupid, 6d should deal damage not a girly push.
  23. Give me something useful about hakumens drive and I'm set about cs2.
