  1. Hmm valid point, who knows hakumen may become more of a troll then hazama is gameplay wise. Never the less, samurais don't zone, their patient >_>, zoning isn't my idea of a patience.
  2. Lol I see me switching mains for the first time in a fighting game, if I wanted a zoning reliant main I would go back to GG with ky and his shit damage output. Who knows I may just switch to jin or valk. Unless he's s tier or top a tier of course. Can't believe they haven't reverted ANY of his changes since he last loketest, faggots. I'm more salty than the read see right now.

  4. Also 6a/b cancels into ALL of hakumen's counters including yukikaze and akumetsu. USE.IT. Bang is tough due to his mix ups but not that great once you can put the pressure on him with your frame traps, you gotta be more active and offensive against bang and most of the cast, just not rachel and lambda, and somewhat litchi.

  5. My friend's bang is getting solid now, so I know the bang match up pretty well. Mash drive when you hit bangs drive a majority of hakumens attack can cancel into zanshin, including hotaru. A majority fo his c's don't but bang can't get you with his drive even if he teleports if he hits your sword at max distance (j.c 4c) and if he drive hits 6c cancel into yukikaze, 6c is special cancel compatible with ALL of hakumens supers including mugen and yukikaze. Monster can't handle pressure since once hakumen is close he has a lot of frame traps that cancel into zanshin as well, making bangs drive useless. bangs pokes, simple DON'T.GET.CLOSE. keep your distance and counter or slash bang's nails preferrably with j2a or jc that way you can smack him at point blank range with a void for extra damage.

  6. Props for coming in the top 7th place btw, you did a lot better this time around. When you get the chance watch a lot of zero/suzume/a-92 matches. It's how I picked up hakumen fast, I don't play nearly as much as you think. Spark also block strings with haku, it's what i used to destroy monster king, although 6a isn't an AA, it can gattling into zanshin (including yukikaze and akumetsu). Yea we'll keep the hype up, we have to. I'm glad I got into the top 3, ramio had solid play as hazama I gotta play him more, brice was on point with his hakumen match up though. Gotta learn some tricks against tager myself. I'll be in a gutter for like the next week and a half myself with school work it's currently a 5.5-4.5 match up in schools favour :P

Yea, had some matches with my friends last night, I'm about to back up my comp on my external, something I should've done two months ago :p After the tournament I'll probably go on a 2-3 week hiatus between you and me, just to completely settle school down. But don't make any posts like this on the MTLers. It'll kill the vibe of the community most likely if I purposely pull out. I'll be doing my best to maintain the community from the back burner, I would really appreciate your assistance in helping me doing that. You and brice are solid members of the community.

  9. At first I thought the training stage was cool because it reminded me of mvc2, but now I just think it's ugly, REALLY ugly. I never had a serious match in that stage so I can't say it has fucked up my combos, but just the stage being so ugly is enough to warrant a ban on it in tournaments.
  10. If you guys are talking about the butler charge iirc it's at least +2, not sure cus 6c also has plus frame advantage on block. But I think 6c has +6, correct me if I'm wrong someone.

Lol so says Nolan, the nigga who switched mains cus hakumen is "too offensive":rolleyes: Also I would say the match-up is even from what I can see, we'll go with spark's input on it but from what I can see based on japanese matches (even though it's online) hakumen still has the slightly higher damage output advantage, a clear defense advantage (second highest primers AND health in the game). Haku also has the range advantage to keep valk out till he has the meter for an offensive. Valk has the clear speed advantage but it's not like haku is slow like tager, and he also has an easier time in wolf form with getting in for a wicked mix up game but, he has no reversal. While haku may not have options against valk's block string frame traps it doesn't take much to knock valk out of wolf form. I haven't wrote everything on what I think of the match up but I do feel it's even from what I can see. EDIT: @ Tofu, you can also try a jump canceled jc, I use that occasionally it's not really safe and it's best to have 2 stars incase they block and want to retaliate you have a pending FC hotaru waiting for them.   12. Fuck I hate baiken, it was my most irritating match ups with my friends (ky has a pretty bad match-up with her). But yea that flipping slash counter was terrible, it made you second guess firing stun edge. It covered a good portion of the screen and FAST. I had to completely change my fighting style against baiken in order to beat her which zoning like crazy in order to minimize her counters on me if I fired stun edge. She could play aggressive AND she had her counters, making you second guess your block strings and wake up attacks. Hakumen does the same with his counters, nothing wrong with him having offensive options, I liked hakumen's defensive orientation in ct, but incase everyone forgot that's why he was second worst in the game. He had minimal offensive options, which was a piss off.
  13. The only thing that keeps that form working is that 5c has a smaller hit box still, meaning, you still have to move forward in order to connect 5c with 2d. BUT maybe with a start up buff there would be more time to walk forward meaning less tight execution on a 2d kishuu/enma combo. But this is me hoping, cus I'm c.s's 2d >_>
  14. Hmmm, well 5c is currently 14 on startup, so there's a chance that it'll come down to 10. However, I wouldn't bet on it, my guess is 11-12 frame start up as a buff.
  15. Theoretically speaking, if nothing changed with 2d and hakumens slashes are faster, there should be enough time after a 2d to hop and 5c into kishuu/enma combo no? Meaning we might be able to get more damage off 2d then our current one since combo execution on 2d I find personally very tight.

  17. Makes sense to me, it's just slower meter gain is gonna play a bigger role in nail biting matches, since you need those stars to deal out damage. It'll get harder to do so if you don't have enough stars and need to play keep away till you do. Unless they have/will further increase his meter gain upon dealing ad receiving damage. Stupid drive nerfs are stupid though, I would need to hear an amazing justification for doing this to zanshin in order for me to not bitch and complain.
  18. 4c isn't as effective as jc low to the ground. jc does: more damage activates 5 frames faster than 4c less prone to being iad'ed over it And when done close to the ground recovers faster than 4c (correct me if I'm wrong) There's a reason why it's not really used in high level player, a good iad over it and you're eating a solid ch combo. 4c for me is used against projectiles (pending on the character) and against tager as you put it, unless I'm magnetized then it's used sparingly.
  19. A or B tier, MAYBE, still too early and his defense is shit along with no projectiles. His overall damage output is indeed s/a tier though, but overall a or b by my estimates once things settle down in continuum shift.

I thought he still had the same representation because "it's not easy to win with hakumen" compared to s tier characters like bang and litchi:psyduck: are you saying that didn't play a role in his representation at sbo qwerty? Or simply because the counter buffs is the sole reason for this? Can it cancel into enma?
  22. I love cs hakumen, but if they turn him into a zoner with shit damage (ky was my main and I hated his shit damage) valk is gonna be my main then. Haku is known for his wicked damage off punishes such as ib and counters. If they take that away (counters and damage) he's not longer the character he was developed to be in the cast. Thus he wouldn't match my playing style anymore and I would might as well switch mains... Stupid counter nerfs are stupid>_>
  23. Same with me, slower meter gain sounds dumb, and mugen is already near useless and impractical for hakumens playing style, now they just made it even LESS encouraging to use. Why don't they nerf the other power ups, since BK and FRKZ are way more effective and complimentary to ragna and bang's fighting styles? If that's the case then I like it yukikaze even more.
