[CP] Azrael - Gameplay Discussion (Pre-Console Release)
BladeOfJustice7 replied to zeth07's topic in Archive
lol I wanna see the full extent of growler, specifically against hybrid projectiles, moves that share both physical and projectile properties: Ouroboros, Noel's guns, some of Rachel's normals, etc. I haven't seen an Azrael player get hit at point blank range for absorbing multi hitting projectiles. If anything it's the opponent who gets hit after Azrael's done "eating" your projectile. So that's the best answer I can give. -
[CP] Azrael - Gameplay Discussion (Pre-Console Release)

I don't know how many phalanx cannon shots he can store but, the rest is true. And once you're done absorbing you can deactivate it and attack your enemy. With this in mind projectile oki is going to be hard to setup on him as it has been on Hakumen with his counters, potentially. -
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19479993 Interesting stuff from Hakumen in these matches, the ability to get extra damage off on blue beats if they don't tech agito after it hits, which can help you get a forced wake up. Also good to note, jc>agito causes ground bounce. Saw that at the end of a combo, I'm saying this because we don't have a way of ending combos into supers for sure fire kills, also we can combo of CH 6c. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJCDJ3kZuMI hakumen @ 29:05, dat 6 Heroes theme against Valkenhayn @ 39:55, against Azrael 43:06, vs Bullet 55:42, 1:05:47 dat 6 heroes theme again vs Valkenhayn. It's also worth noting that I thought they made/left Hakumen to be too strong. Then i saw nu13's playstyle, and now I see why they did what they did with Hakumen it terms of offense.

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19480229 @4:45 Interesting use of growler field to beat some of rachels tools, including absorbing her normals which have projectile properties. It seems that wtv hakumen could kishuu thruogh, or cut to create a barrier, Azrael can use growler to absord their attacks for phalanx cannons. -
This is what I've mostly seen hence, why I'm against the idea.
-
Ewww, old combos again.
-
Using overdrive at the beginning of the round is a waste. Hakumen builds meter way faster than before, coupled with the fact that you also lose a burst. It's better to save it for the end of the round if anything for extra shippu damage or yukikaze damage.
-
Agito. All day. Everyday. Anytime. I hope this move isn't going to be stupid good as the game fleshes out. Hakumen is still looking incredibly strong in CP, contrary to what we all thought. It's like his defensive options have been nerfed to an all time low, and his offensive tools have been enhanced to an all time high. I can't even consider him a truly defensive character at this point lol.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
BladeOfJustice7 replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
More like subbing BBCP's arcade modes. ArcSys is turning into capcops now lol. I don't know why they even bother with these things at this point. Anyways, I'm glad I downloaded Azrael's subbed arcade mode. I suggest any further videos of BBCP arcade mode should go on streaming sights like vimeo and dailymotion. -

He really was the msot generic, now he's the most exciting to watch. And as someone put it in the hype thread: ESP (the best Azrael player) is now an American Hero. I don't think anyone here who actively comes to these forums and is active in their local community if not online isn't a perfectionist. We all are and we all have this ideal form of how we perform. Take myself for instance, I'm conceited as fuck but if you were to ask me, how I good I think I am, I would say "above average". But go and ask kirbster, nolan, or tofu warrior about my skill level they would rate me much higher. And it's the same I'm sure that would apply to them, they don't think they're as good as they really are. It's human condition, you'll never reach how good you want to be. But the idea is to keep pushing yourself to improve. if you don't know what you're doing wrong here's a huge indicator where you're doing things wrong; it's when you get CH. if you're getting CH somewhere in your matches it's where you're playing bad. People were talking about how in the recent local tourney we ran I would take time between matches, it's because I was reviewing where I got CH and to reevaluate what I was doing to get CH and how to avoid it. Unfortunately tsubaki is like kryptonite for me lol. explain yourself mAcular Chaos. -

It's worth noting that in the recent match between esp and chibaken, that your slab is considered semi projectile at least. Since hakumen was able to cut it and create a fumajin seal out of it. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoT-iMP-7VU Anyone want to make a lift of hakumen's matches from here? it's chibaken playing, it's where I got all of my observations from this morning.

She heals like Ragna, and initally they would both heal because as long as the other one was ok the other couldn't die. However this didn't apply to hakumen due to his sword/suit/manliness, who could kill either nu13 or ragna even if the other was alive. However nu13 dealt more damage than ragna could, which is why he kept "losing" to her over and over. I think the term is "life link"?

Talking about in the West brian, it's like how yuzuriha was the most popular initially in under night in birth. Big breasts factor>kakowee factor in Japan. -

Amazing how initially one of the least interesting characters announced for this game has now become the most popular to play, watch, and learn. -
Updated with the Chrono Phantasma Channel's Hakumen playlist.

It's just one star more Nolan though I know what you're getting at. yes agito seems to be a strong tool to get your offense started at close range rather than simply relying on jb and hotaru, due to agito's speed and ability to crossup it is a strong contender against most AA's.

Aww shit air with that real talk?! I still hate you though I kind of hear what you're saying but gonna disagree on some points. I don't like taking up characters other play. But at the same time whoever I find I stick with them no matter what. That's how you really develop your skills, unless you play mahvel or are a japanese tier whore. It's just that based off your mains in GG P4U Amane looks like he'll suit you. That's why I made that claim, it's important to take someone you're comfortable with as well. I'm honestly glad you're taking up Amane, I know heartless is taking up Bullet. But it still leaves out Azrael, though he looks like someone Nolan/Jimmy Bones would play (if Jimmy stops dodging BB). SO we'll see. Where did this reference to heartless come from? And yes this is true, keep in mind that even the best players lose. Even the best players have and do get blown up (occasionally) by tager players as well lol. Loses are part of the path of a 2d warrior. Just keep playing an analyze your loses, winning all the time would be boring anyways. And what's the purpose of a community like this if your fellow members didn't push you to your limits and made you improve? -
[CP] Azrael - Gameplay Discussion (Pre-Console Release)
BladeOfJustice7 replied to zeth07's topic in Archive
No it just has a fast startup and travels far. And lambda's 4d has historically been her slowest projectile normal. I could catch her with shippu since CSEX, and it still works in CP, and I'm pretty sure carnage scissor works too. -
Yea I saw that a few times, but it mostly just goes right through her swords. How are you feeling about nu13?
-
it was never an overhead. Why am I still up?

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
BladeOfJustice7 replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
This. Seriously. People just kept asking for him and for Chibaken to be dethroned lol. -
Based off the stream I'm watching, kishuu might have gotten a projectile invincibility buff. By increasing the amount of frames kishuu is invincible to bursts, I've yet to see anything with full projectile properties beat kishuu regardless of spacing and timing. Making him even more burst safe than before. I believe it's chibaken I'm watching and he's been blowing people up with mostly kishuu for mixup and burst punishes. Also kishuu seems to get right through Nu's swords, regardless of spacing and timing. This move looks even stronger than it's CSEX counter part, coupled with the fast that the move was already fast, now it moves even faster on this new sped up game engine. EDIT: Speculation at this point, but I think 5d's activation got sped up as well. While not frame one active, I think it takes less than 5 to be active now. EDIT 2: Carl's Rhapsody of memories at point blank range on hakumen was not caught by 2d, and no he wasn't blocking, 2d simply did not grab him for the entire duration of the super. I wonder if this'll be the case with other projectile supers. EDIT 3: I'm retarded its not rhapsody that carl did, it's the other super Laetabillis Cantata, the gear super. My bad. I'm going to bed. FYI, nu13 is looking strong, I see why they left Hakumen with so many of his strong csex tools. Nu13 would've been another uphill matchup, since she's literally back now.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he's Valkenhayn's final boss, he seems to harass Valkenhayn more than Hakumen from what I've seen.
-
ArcSys' BB team has stated numerous times he actually is THAT strong. I speculate he's genetically altered.
