  1. yea it seemed slightly slower, I saw a hakumen trying to punish hazama's 3c, and he was able to block shippu. Sounds like shippu got overall nerfed except in proration. No biggy though, the 2 frame extra startup might make a difference once in a while. WOW o_O This move is definitely dead. D:!! Now THAT is wack. Agreed, wasting a burst when he already has incredibly fast meter gain and gains extra meter for just about doing anything makes it pointless. And those that do use kishin at the start of the round either lose or nearly lose. Good thing about it is that usually you'll have your burst back by the end of the round. Agreed. 6d is the only thing that still gripes me at this point in the game, and I know it'll me even more when I get my hands on this game.
  2. We still also have 2d, but as long as people don't really go for repetitive lows, then it's not really a problem for them. But yes, it hurts to see Hakumen's defensive no longer being as respectable as it once was. Though I look forward to seeing Spark use cp hakumen, he always manages to innovate in someway how to use hakumen. People barrier a lot more, but I've seen guards broken a lot but it's not that often, you have to keep in mind how slow ct's come out now anyways. Yup, but its gotten a big speed buff. He can move around faster on the ground now.
  3. Agito/Kishuu/6b/Hop>Grab/Stuff. For a "defensive" character that's pretty good.
  4. @Spark It looked as if Ragna was stuck in his death spike as Hakumen was moving though. What I'm wondering is if we got some sort of projectile buff with yukikaze.
  5. Wow, that's pretty crazy. When it's ACTUALLY used to do something, maybe even a comeback. Then, we can talk about Shippu x n. it's pretty useless, though Mugen x Kishin may have uses down the road though. So we'll see. But some how despite being broken and retarded its still #DABESS. Yes, I havne't even seen anyone use drill level 3 yet, let alone pulling off impractical combos like that. This. Drill level 3 takes a lot of time to develop that without drill overheating. Yea, he does immense chip damage it's pretty crazy, but outside of his higher level drills, his damage is pretty weak. lol
  6. Spark, it looks like something with regards to superflash has changed for yukikaze: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu2_StrYtQE&feature=g-all-u @ 8:30, when it cuts deathspike.
  7. he's always had knockdown to some level though. Yes he doesn't have mixup options, and to some level they don't know how they want Hakumen to work as a character, fortunately he doesn't suck again. But I don't feel having knockdown goes against his design, making 6d useless goes against his design.
  8. You're still not speaking making any sense Isuna, knockdown is knockdown, when your combo(s) end in knockdown near you, you get oki. If they might dp, bait it. You're making it sound like oki and knockdown is a stupid dangerous design because you might get hit by your opponent. Plus you don't even really have to spend stars on oki, since his grab game is even stronger than it was before thanks to kishuu and a much faster hop speed. Yea it's absolutely worthless, and I find players really have no respect for Hakumen's defense this time around, though I can't blame them. Unless they're for an obvious repetitive mid/low it's hard for him to punish their block strings. It's even for to take some time to figure out how to counter bangs nail. 2-3 seconds approx.
  9. I don't think it's too big of a deal personally, the whole hk thing that is. Nu will eventually get a venom pool ball head.
  10. CT sucked, CS1 was okay, CS2 sucked my ass, EX is good
  11. Thread updated with these vids. Gonna limit my CP watching because It'll mess me up me csex. I would really like to thank dioxide and Spark for making this process of video compilation much easier.
  12. Even the "Great Avengers" have beef with each other for one reason or another. No group of allies get along 100%. But both the Avengers and the 6 Heroes give respect to each other. Valkenhayn compliments Hakumen's defensive manoeuvres and damage output. Valkenhayn gives his leader extreme honorifics by calling him Hakumen-donno. if you even listen to his voice clips Valk just wants to get some good ol' sparring with Hakumen. Hakumen praises his mobility and speed. Hakumen calls Valk, old genius/great wolf Hazama, calls everyone a weak little bitch, oh wait... And calls refers to his leader as Hakumen-san, though we all know he's just trolling. Platinum refers to their leader as well by Hakumen-san. There is respect, but they'll always be beef. And their leader just happens to be an asshole lol.
  13. Watching that video right now, this guy does a fuck ton of chip damage for an ArcSys game.
  14. Fair enough. They share a fight song together.
  15. I'm so hype to fight against a character who has the same gameplan as hakumen. No mistakes or I'll kill you in a few combos. Could dashes be used to punish bad bursts :o And that Azrael was sick in the nico video.
  16. 6b doesn't exclusively work on moves that must be block by inputing 1, it's a move that has waist down invincibility. There's a difference, most 2a's (I'm guessing tage is an exception, ahven't checked) his below the waist, hence why 6b beats them. Yes it's absolutely projectile invincible. Check out the video I'm about to post from nico. Yea I figured that's why they gave tsubaki increased damage. yea came to the same conclusion. huh? Check out this video guys: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19437283 skip to 18:38 for hakumen, and at 21:12 kishin 5k corner combo off of a 5c overdrive cancel. Sick shit, getting excited, can't lie. The more I find stuff to be unhappy about, Hakumen does something new to get me hype.
  17. isuna, why wouldn't a character want knockdown? What mixup options did you have in the old typical kishuu>enma combos? With the increased floating time it looks like hotaru is easier to follow up on FC now. But being defense oriented means you have THE BEST options on defense. That's the equivalent of saying Valkenhayn is a defensive character because if he's knocked down he has no choice but to block. FINALLY someone who speaks sense here. There is literally no use for 6d at all. I can't see a point where a 10 frame startup counter could be useful. And if I can use 6d to counter whatever it is, then they simply were being dumb lol. I get what you mean here lol, and I find 6b most useful when your opponent is patient and won't hit buttons. Agreed, tsubaki followup being exclusive to hotaru is pretty lame. It means your opponent doesn't really have to worry about extra damage after it. The 600 damage buff is great, but I'd prefer if he had even a meterless followup for approx 3.5k or so. Yea that'll be a huge adjustment for a lot of us. mAc'll just use 2c. And btw we have agito people. Has it always been frame 1 foot invincible? I though it took a few frames before the invincibility became active.
  18. I think the "other option" Relius was referring to was Izayoi. Hakumen is too soft on his old flame, he needs to knock some sense into this girl instead of leaving it to Jin.
  19. But Bang never gave Ragna, Valkenhayn, and Hakumen a run for their money, while holding back on top of that.
  20. That isn't impossible. It does? It seems the last stage has a particular song, like The Midnight Carnival Stage always has the Midnight Carnival song regardless of whose fighting there. I'm looking forward to Azrael's arcade mode to be translated. Does anyone else find S7 Theme sounds like a 90's hip hop beat dance off battle at the beginning?
  21. Hakumen's 5a is still air unblockable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHmobjKptUM&feature=relmfu @ 1:23
