  1. Im afraid I dont follow you, I understand the Negative Penalty part, but HP is distributed the same for all characters isnt it with some characters just having more then others? When training/playing with my friend, one basic combo from Tager took away ~65%. Now did it actually DO 6500/10000 of Nus life, probably not, the fact I was trying to make was, one slip-up from Nu against Tager = almost certain death in most instances.
  2. Except thats almost the exact strategy for Tager as well except instead of cornering you want to time your sledges. You say it sounds easy and I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or not:kitty: Most of the time its hard to rush down Nu into a corner because of distant blades and Act Pulsaring you to the other side. To just start the process all over again. I have not played a ton of Carl's online though but most of the time this is what happens to me and I just end up winning because of a simple distance game. I like your strategy though and would love to see it used maybe if someone has a video of this happening we can see what the general strategy is.
  3. His basic 4 hit combo does 65% base damage to Nu and ~70-75% if its a counter hit. How can you ask for anything more? A free one hit kill? After Im bursted one Tager buster does 70% damage and a Genesis Emerald is a one hit kill. Even without those its most of your life gone. EDIT: More research on life distribution needed ignore until further notice As everyone else has stated, its patience and looking for holes/slip-ups against Nu players. If one comes, exploit it with everything you've got.
  4. If hes blocking it high and not Perfect Guarding (which is stupid if he/she isnt) then rush in and do a 3C followed by a 6C to bounce them off the wall again into another 5DD combo and start the fun all over again.
  5. While this definitely works as a counter to Nu (because Ive suffered from it 1st hand) I have noticed that most people online cannot IB well at all which in effect kind of destroys one of the best counter strategies to Nu. Is it a problem for people who have the IB timing down perfect against the 5DD combo, absolutely not, but most Carl players I have been going against seem to have a problem with it still. Any other possible strategies against Nu besides just instant blocking and then vivace summoning? Besdies, after the Vivace summon, what is the next step of the game plan?
  6. That 2nd one that you have vs just Ora is actually vs Dora (Bang) as well. Ora doesnt play that kind of Bang Shishigami
  7. Depends on the player of course. I learned her basics in like 3-4 hours but of course none of that is any good until you practice against live players. Game has only been out a few days as well so we still dont know everything there is to know. However, in terms of long term playability, Nu players will need to know all her extensive drive combos and when to use each one, as well as Rapid Cancelling her drive combos into her 6D, 2B, 2C, and 3C starters. You will also need to know proper timing for throw cancels, 5DD combo after throwing, as well as proper jump cancel timing for her anti-air combos. However this can almost be said of any character for any player. Time will tell.
  8. Exactly. Just block and once its done I either usually counter with a 4B-->j.C-->j.2C-->j.C-->j.2C-->214D or just use 2C-->3C-->236D and then either dash back to set up your zoning again. Should not be too hard to counter actually, Nu has a lot of options after blocking it. Goto training and record yourself doing that move with Litchi and then play it back continuously while practicing your own combos.
  9. I also have a friend who mains Tager and we just did some rounds the other day. Ended up being 14-3 wins my favor using Nu of course. Tager just cannot hack it against Nu unless we are talking about some extremely gifted Tager players who can somehow read the Nu players mind and knows all of their zoning strategies. Also, I dont believe Tager can air dash, but I could be wrong.
  10. Most Noel players like to start of the match by jumping in the air and dashing towards you with either a 2C or 236C. I usually counter with the standard anti-air combo 6DD--2DD--j.C--dj.2C--214D and that will knock a good portion of their life off. You can also counter with just a 2C and then j.C--j.2C--dj.C--dj.2C--214D and that will usually work as well. All Noel players are different though. If they spam drive attacks on you just keep blocking as finding the correct opening is hard when they have 7 different types of attacks they can roll into after the first hit. Im sure there is better advice out there but this is just something Ive noticed.
  11. Okay Im starting to wonder what the hell I am doing wrong. I am in training mode as V-13 practicing against Haku-men and I am trying the standard throw combo Throw-->5DD-->6DD-->2DD-->j.5DD-->dj.2DD-->214D There are 2 things Ive noticed while trying to do this combo. 1) Why is it that sometimes the enemy hits the ground too quickly before the first 5DD after the throw, therefore making the opponent able to tech out of it and proceed to rape me? Sometimes it will hit before they touch the ground and sometimes it wont, and no matter how much I button mash, or calmy wait to time it, it just seems to be random. 2) After the first j.5DD, when do you put the timing in for the double jump, because my V-13 never seems to jump after the first one. Thanks for the help.
  12. Yeah same for me, V-13 seems to not have many quick pokes with the exception of 6B but even then that doesnt work most of the time. If I get rushed I pretty much lose 1/3 to 1/2 of my life due to not knowing what moves there are to use as a counter. Any help is greatly appreciated. EDIT: I also played against another V-13 player earlier in Ranked match, and for some reason or another she was able to summon 3 of those spinning blades in a row, and I was wondering how is that possible as I have never seen that done before. Like they literally came one after another, almost like Millia's overdrive where she throws 3 spinning blades.
