There are a number of reasons: 1) Millia's main advantage vs the cast is in her speed and high number of mobility options. These advantages disappear against Chipp, because not only is he faster, he also has better mobility options(in AC+R, at least...) and far superior normals. 2) Chipp's defensive options are quite good. He has an abnormal wakeup speed that changes dramatically between faceup and facedown, a strong DP, and really fast normals. So he has many options against her style of okizeme. Just watch any match of Samitto vs a Millia. He wins most of the time, and you'll see he almost never blocks on wakeup vs her. 3) While Millia does have higher damage from successful mixup, her damage from converting stray hits into combos is a lot lower. And Chipp has a huge advantage in the neutral game, so... 4) Back to the topic of normals, Millia has a severe disadvantage fighting Chipp ground-to-ground and ground-to-air, so she is pretty much forced to fight in the air. And her damage from converting air hits is quite poor. Kind of related to the previous point to be fair, I think the Millia vs Chipp matchup is probably a little bit better in Xrd. It was godawful in AC and ACR. Chipp has lost a number of the problematic options he had in the previous games, so the MU should be easier

I think she is still very good. It's very clear from what we know of the changes and from the available footage that she is still one of the stronger characters in the game. But the issue here is the fun factor. Her playstyle is not as interesting as it was in the previous two GG games

Yeah, there's nothing fun about losing tools. Not only did her moveset get smaller(like every other character), she also lost a character specific mechanic, ADC But yea, about her being ordinary, I totally understand this sentiment. He is probably referring more to her combo theory, since it is super streamlined and simplified compared to what she had in AC/ACR. She is based off of her #R counterpart, and in that game she really only had 2 combos. Obviously, if you were greedy and really wanted to optimize, there were more combos to learn but honestly it was unnecessary and didn't make much of a difference. And right now, it looks to be the same for Xrd Millia In contrast, she had a ton of variation in AC/ACR combos, and could do things like spend meter(for air FB disc) or use pin early to optimize and get high damage dustloops, etc.

The announcer actually called him "Sato". It's a subtle difference since satous name is pronounced "Satu". So he's not the same as the Johnny player

newest a-cho vid has a somewhat ok Millia that shows up at around 1:13:13 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaffcsHR2N4 Interesting things I noticed -At around 1:17:14, the Millia throws the pin at Zato a little before he throws out 2s, and the pin bounces off harmlessly. I don't think the startup of the pin was stuffed, because it still came out. Maybe pin becomes inactive if Millia gets hit afterwards now? -1:20:05, Millia lands a CH digitalis on Zato near the corner, and you can see that it causes wallstick. The Millia doesn't capitalize off of it fast enough, but it does indeed look like there's enough time for a followup combo
