    just use footies against your friend, well spaced 5bs and 5cs. If you really want to get up close, make sure you make your blockstrings short and use Jump cancel able pokes like 6a and 3c. other than that just use 5B,5C, Hells Fang on counter hit to space yourself, after you do this a couple of times, I'm sure your friend will get the message and stop mashing like a retard.

    The recent tier list and what St1ckBuG says seems right, but I can't shake the feeling that Arakune should be a bit higher than he is right now...Or maybe it's just because I use Ragna that I have this thought. but it's just an opinion, not trying to state facts or anything.

    Yeah this matchup seems to be whoever gets momentum first and who has the better defense as far as finding holes in blockstrings... I really do hate playing defensively with a rushdown character.
