Nice topic. I agree with you.
I had this problem in CT. I would lose and lose and lose and it would be to the same character to make it worse. Eventually I'd be stark raving mad and either 2 things would happen, my rage would manifest itself into some strange new ability to win or the usual result, loss of skill. The latter more than the former.
Mostly I blamed CS for how the game worked differently to other games I'd played, then the characters, of which some needed obvious changing before being shipped out the door, then I blamed my luck for not running into certain characters thus having no real way to know how to deal with things.
