Speaking of Oki. Any tips for people who mash DP whenever I go for the Sweep-5D setup?
-
Okay, I've been playing online a bit and I've noticed a lot of Yu players using 214B in 2A as a frame trap. I'm wondering is that a legit frame trap or just lag tactics. Since there is no frame data up at the moment I'm not sure where to look to check and my findings have been inconsistent.

Didn't...shouldn't people just take more care to...not activate them? -

Yeah...its called baiting. I mean that would be like complaining that you keep getting hit by wakeup DPs because you keep running face first into them. -

Yeah. Hakumen's counters are fine. No where as stupid as they were in CT/CS1 and even then I thought they were manageable. -
Ah. I see. Thanks. So I have to cancel the move right before the third hit hits and not when it hits...okay, that makes sense since I was just barely missing the link.

Anyone have any tips on getting 214D -> OMC -> 214B to connect. I think I'm cancelling it early enough(as soon as the third hit connects) so maybe I'm slow on the 214B. I've managed to hit it a few times but man is it a pain to do consistently.

Have a question...what would Yu's best non-corner option for punishing DPs? I've been sticking to his basic BnB but I feel like I could be getting more damage.

I wonder how many times we have to go through the first Loke tests looking nothing like the final version of the game before people stop going crazy about them. -

I don't mind 5C -> 5D not comboing as long as it comes out fast enough for frametraps. -

Yeah. Extend was more balanced but it was kind of boring too. Don't want to go back to the broke days of CT but adding a little spice to the game is more than welcome. -

Wait...if Sekka has been changed to 22C do you still mash it? -

I'm sure my brother will be happy just because it means that they may have made Makoto not stink again. -

Can't wait for this! Skipped out on Extend because it just felt like a $40 balance update but man do I love BB. -
You know its funny...a lot of the complaints people are bringing up as to why they don't want to support MLG could be said about the FGC too. I mean come on guys...where do you think using the term "anime" as an insult came from in the first place. Really, as someone who doesn't care about the MLG vs FGC politics and just wants to play games I would say look at this from a logical standpoint. MLG, you got bigger pots and actual stream time for your game. Why would you want to argue with that? Like someone said earlier, people get so caught up on picking sides that they seem to forget you don't have to pick a side at all. You're not the people running these events, you're the people playing the game. And I would say I think the most important thing is supporting your game and seeing it do well. I'm mostly a casual BB/GG player and my game is Soul Calibur(which I'm also going to start going to MLG tournies for) but if P4A was there to I would support that too.

He's probably referring to the increased untech time on Jin's dp.

So happy that Jin's jump is faster. And with most of the other changes.

Both. The arcade update has all 3 of the DLC characters and the balance patch. -

Isn't Japan like...some hours ahead of us anyway? Either way can't wait to hear what stuck and what didn't. Also, hopefully they'll release info about the console version(and Platinum) soon. -

Not really. The thing that made Jin the most scrub friendly in CT was the fact that his freeze attacks not only gave him advantage but basically made it so his opponents had to guess right or eat a combo. Really, all I've seen from this changes are that they're addressing problems that Jin's moves had. Kind of like 5D(which was his main poke in CT) being pretty useless and 234B also being pretty useless because using it would actually put you in a bad situation. Really, the main thing I see is that compared to the other characters Jin didn't get many changes, and his buffs...while good...were more for character utility than OP stuff. Basically, at the moment, Jin has the advantage of pretty much playing the same as his CS1 version just with some improvements, while all the other characters have been going through drastic changes. Will Jin be better than his CS1 character? The fact that some of his moves were fixed, combined with other characters being not as good as their CS1 versions means that he probably will. But if the scrubby players who abandoned CS Jin because he wasn't CT Jin come back to CS2 Jin...I think they'll be pleasantly surprised. And that ended up a lot longer than I thought it would. -

Thanks for clearing things up. And surprising, the sky isn't falling.
