Apologies for the incessant questions that you might not be able to answer, but is this just regular hit or CH? Also, in regards to all of this j.B j.C stuff, was he simply commenting that you could no longer j.BCB in a combo or is there an actual restriction on inputting them? Basically can you still do [stuff] (j.B) (d)j.BCD staff2 j.C? Or maybe now with the increased hitstun on staff2 we won't have to.
-
Is there any indication of what we get in the wake of j.BCB (real glad that's gone, by the way)? Probably too early to ask considering how little exposure there's been at this point. Also, the 4D notes are unclear to me; does this mean that we've lost ground slide on regular hit but gained wallbounce near corner or do we still have ground slide plus wallbounce in the corner? EDIT: If there's no ground slide, what does it do now? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Right now, Dustloop has a colossal video thread where everything ends up. I think it would be a nice addition to the website if more notable matches were filtered out and featured on the main page because there's not really a collective canon that the BB community as a whole is generally familiar with. I agree that having more annotated videos would also go a long way towards roping more people in; it's all just about giving people more reason to perceive BlazBlue as a competitive game as opposed to just weaboos hitting weaboos. As for the lack of beginner resources, I don't know how much that would actually help bring new people to the game, but it would certainly help those that do decide to start learning how to play BlazBlue do so much less randomly. Look at how much information is provided to the prospective Virtua Fighter community: It gives a prospective player so much to work on and an idea of how to improve past the basics. The problem that I find with the resources for BB is that they're almost too prophetic due to the fact that they lack a beginning and an end point. An example of what I'm talking about: http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/doku.php?id=vf5:aoi:strategy There are more pages, too. This is just one.

Really hoping I can not suck enough to justify making the trip out next year. Litchi for top tier in CS3
-
Good luck folks.

I've gotten it on Litchi without dashing.

I've got a few Litchi-based questions for you. 1. How do you feel about Litchi's pokes? More specifically, what are they good for (absolutely nothing, sing it again, etc.)? I find myself using 2B[m] and 6B[m] rarely but they seem like a low reward proposition for a medium-high amount of risk. 3C[m] seems to sort of border on worthless; how do you use this? I'm also uncertain as to the particular advantages of 6C[m] and I've yet to incorporate that; if you could shed some light onto that I'd appreciate it. 1.5. Not a poke, but now that j.C is techable, what use does it have neutral? 2. In line with normals-related questions, what do you feel is the purpose of 6A[m] in CS2? How often is it worth the meter expense just to have access to an overhead that doesn't drop the staff, especially considering the potential for damage is similar to 4D (and maybe even less midscreen unless I'm doing it wrong)? 3. You mentioned in the previous thread that the IB nerf may change the dynamics of using Daisharin midscreen for pressure due to the implausibility of IBing the first hit and jumping out. What's your take on this now? 4. I have a lot of trouble AAing effectively against much of the cast as Litchi. Is there any advice you could provide regarding this? Moreso with the staff but staffless would be good too. 5. Given the gimpy pokes and the short carry of Litchi's midscreen combos, how do you work your opponent towards the corner? It seems substantially more difficult to make or keep space as Litchi in CS2 and I have a feeling that I'm throwing the staff out more often than I should be. 6. How pertinent are the newfound advantages of staffless Litchi relative to staff Litchi to her game? By this I mean the fact that Litchi builds much more distance, damage, and meter with her staffless combos midscreen than she does with her staff combos. I suppose what I'm asking is given this information, is it potentially desirable to forego the staff entirely midscreen despite the loss in range due to the fact that it can get you into the corner on almost any hit? I realize that this is a lot of questions and if you don't feel like answering all of them, I understand/would appreciate any answers you can give. Thanks in advance.

This game is the greatest. The titles that they come up with for the minigames are the best part. "Stop the alien invasion for fun"

I'll be there, albeit probably super late. Someone's gotta show y'all how to use DP in pressure =/

Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters

I can contribute a PS3 and a game if needed. No TV though. -
I'm walking. I left in March. It's actually like a six hour drive.

I'm going. Transportation is... sketchy so I'm not going to offer that to anyone but if anyone needs a place to stay they can PM me as my friend and I are getting a hotel room. EDIT: This message sounds sketchy as fuck

Really? Huh. I would have thought I would have noticed that. I'll edit if it works.

So I've asked about a million questions in this thread and I'm about to make it a million and one. Up until today, I thought I could do the 2D combo opener (j.2D 6C(1) 4Kote 2C/5B Hatsu Riichi A blah blah). I've been practicing it a lot for about a week or so. But today my hands decided that I cannot, even though I could do it perfectly fine earlier today. Now, whenever I try, the Hatsu doesn't come out. If I input a half circle I'll get Riichi B, indicating that the problem is that I haven't fully turned around when I'm inputting hatsu. The thing is, I don't think I'm doing anything differently, and I've tried everything I can think of: I've elongated the dash before 2C, I've slowed down my hatsu input, I've sped up my hatsu input, I've done 4kote at varying times throughout 6C... And I'm confused, because I've been doing this for an hour and a half and I've been unable to get it even once, whereas earlier today I was able to do it pretty much every time I tried. Is there anything special to connecting this? What am I missing?
-
Yeah, online a lot of people neutral tech it.
-
I like that combo. Very useful.
-
I would be fine with them removing all characters other than Platinum.
-
In the combo thread you have a combo that is Starter 1, Middle 1, and Ender 1, with the only difference being that it's j. BCB dj. BCD as opposed to j. B dj. BCD. What's the deal with the change? I've actually been doing j.B dj.BCD the whole time simply because I drop j. BCB dj. BCD a lot (I can land it but there's basically no chance that I'll get the j.C afterwards and I've never gotten 6C(2)). EDIT: If people are sick of asking me questions, I can stop. =P
-
Yeah I got it. My problem was that I basically had no idea what the combo was supposed to look like; it's not too complicated.
-
I could do that, although it's kind of far away to say for certain.
-
I assumed it was Riichi A but I can't seem to get it. Am I supposed to cross up with 6C(1) 2C? Otherwise I don't see how it's possible.
-
Both list Ippatsu B without listing how to get there. Without having seen the j.2D combo I don't really have any idea how to do it; I'm assuming there's a crossup on the 2C/5B because otherwise you're hitting them the wrong way for a Riichi A, and because that appears to be what happens in the second combo. In the 5B 2C 6D corner combo he also has Riichi A listed twice consecutively but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that that's just a typo. And yes it makes sense that he would lock the thread until the information is more complete to prevent large swarms of questions I guess.
-
I don't understand why the current combo thread has combos listed where you input Ippatsu B without being on the staff (Riichi B?). I also don't understand why it's locked because this doesn't seem like an appropriate place to ask.

Ah, shit. I broke it. Sorry guys.

That sounds like a lot of work for 48 hours. I play GG but I'm disgustingly bad. Where's Next Level?
