One who harbors an unreasonable and/or unshakable hatred for one or more other persons. Often this is due to a difference in opinions, but instead of letting it go, the hater ekes out their existence by calling out their intended victim and their errors continuously, while demonstrating, in various ways, why their target's views are incorrect. The key things being their 'always right' attitude and inability to kindly STFU.

The OFFICIAL Guilty Gear Canon Plotline Q & A Thread
Raging Tofu replied to Blade's topic in Zepp Museum
Short answer: saying it as "keesk" or "kees-kay" are acceptable, though the former is the correct version. Overture's pronunciation of it as "kissk" is just wrong. Long answer: Based on the characters used to write his name: キスク (kisuku) this gives it the pronunciation of it "keesk", since in spoken Japanese ス (su) is more of a hissed "s" sound and ク (ku), when used at the end of a word, implies a hard ending sound. Technically, the "ku" sound is still there, but the inflection isn't as strong. To hear this pronunciation, just watch the X promo trailer (it's at the 2:44 mark, the person who uploaded that even notes the pronunciation XD). The fact that the English spelling of his name ends in an "e" (since it's taken from former Helloween member Micheal Kiske) has lead to the "kees-kay" pronunciation, and most people aren't bothered by this. (In katakana though, this would be written キスケ-kisuke.) However, as Micheal is German, the pronunciation would be something like "keys-ka" since an "e" in German sounds like a soft "a" (a soft "a" having more of an "uh" sound than "ah" sound) Regardless, キスク/"keesk" mimics this pretty well. As for Overture's way of saying it as "kissk"... I just write it off as a misinterpretation of understanding vowel lengths (long vs. short/stressed vs. unstressed) It's like pronouncing "heel" and "hill" the same way. The words sound similar, but their pronunciation is actually different. -

Y'know, oddly enough, I didn't even think of GG2's 3-D models when I answered that. Way more easier than studying 2-D sprites XD -
The OFFICIAL Guilty Gear Canon Plotline Q & A Thread

Answers: 1. Sol is left-handed, Ky is right-handed. This has been determined from official art mostly, but I think Sol's was mentioned in an interview at some point. You can also tell from their game sprites (see GG2). 2. I'm just going to quote this from the Plot FAQ Ed did- Before starting the Robo-Ky incident, they were a highly secret organization, possibly having been founded sometime around the end of WWII. 3. Short answer- Airships are fucking fast. -
I'm pretty sure we've already covered Marina at some point in this thread, but here it is again: She was a lady Ky befriended in the Lightning the Argent novel. Originally she was in a wheelchair but after receiving a new medicine from the Blackard company, she was able to use her legs again. However, the medicine was created using Gear cells, which reacted (rather violently) when Solaria (a command-type Gear they may have also had a hand in creating) sang. Specifically in Marina's case, her legs basically blew themselves off. It's unknown what's happened to her beyond this point. (I have no idea if it's elaborated upon in the novel or not, no translations of it.) Marina before she received the medicine. Marina after she received the medicine. Marina's legs reacting to Solaria's singing.

The OFFICIAL Guilty Gear Canon Plotline Q & A Thread
Raging Tofu replied to Blade's topic in Zepp Museum
Well.... I don't know where Suzaku's at with the translations of those short stories, you'll have to ask him. I assume you mean Ky's girlfriend here, so.... So there you have it. -
Yes, that is a respost. FFFFfffffff-XD Don't tell me something like that, it just encourages it. I'd love to have more information on the happenings of the Crusades. I don't see it as something that will ever be elaborated on in the games, so hopefully Drama CDs? Another book? Or maybe even that anime he wants to do? Overture was fine, story's a little wonky but that's only because we don't have all the pieces for it. I'm cool with it actually (the story, not the gaps).

Not ragging on Overture. Just Daisuke's story-telling skills. Of course, you could always go for Option 2.

GG official art and sprites (and chibi GIFs) thread

I've got copies of all those sprites. Better to have more than one back-up source, right? -

Suzaku announced quite some time ago the order in which he would be translating the stories. Sol's, Sin's and Ky's were at the end of the list, if I'm not mistaken. So, no they have not been translated yet, but they will be. Of course, there maybe someone else working on translations of the stories too, though I haven't heard/seen/found anything. Aside from Suzaku, everyone else I know that would be capable of translating is currently too busy with various life happenings to do it.

I'm working on recreating all the Q&A; I'll definitely post a link when it's done. Izuna is the oldest, then Raven and finally Slayer, I believe is how it goes. Their actual ages (if known) eludes me at the moment and I'm too tired to go look 'em up, but even then I'm pretty sure it'll just be a general "such-and-such character is XYZ+ years old" ....kind of like Sol's age.

Again yes and no. There's a general acceptance for what sun signs relate to, but when all the other things get thrown into the mix, opinions can vary but are close enough to infer the same thing across the board. Anyways, I redid Ky's chart (since originally I had his birth year as 2158, and according to Blade's research it's probably 2159) and here's the summary of how his chart reads: Also, Ky does fall on the cusp of Scorpio/Sagittarius, so here's what that reads as: If you ask me, that sounds like it's on the money for Ky. I understand and none taken.

Regarding the anime/ova stuff, from what I gathered, the projects kept dropping due to reasons out of his hands. No specifics were mentioned but I'd be willing to be it's money/interest related (hence Daisuke's lines of "show me/us more support!"). That is, I don't think it's a matter of Daisuke not accepting the offers; he expressed a lot of interest in going that route based on what he said at the panels. As for Ky's chart, I'll post the information from it when I find it.

Both panels were nothing but Q&A and there was an overabundance of silly and bad questions asked. No one asked any questions about Sol's sword(s) at either panel. It's possible that it was asked during one of the autograph sessions, but unlikely (and unless the questioner pops in to say so, it will remain unknown). I shot Daisuke two questions at autographs on Sunday and his translator mentioned something about giving Aksys questions to forward to him. Pretty much his default answer for things like that was "It's something that's in the next game/character's backstory, so I can't say just yet" along with remarks along the lines of "please continue to show me support so I can get money from my boss [to do it]". Notable point: Daisuke did express interest in doing an anime or OVA to help explain some of the backstory stuff. He mentioned that offers had been made, but nothing's gotten off the ground yet. Interesting stuff, but I have to digress. Sun signs are only one slice of the pie. In order to get a full understanding of a person's character things like their ascendant, the signs and houses the other planets and moon are in, and if a person's sign is on the cusp all need to be considered. That's why some points seem to be a little off-- like the Capricorn part, it's pretty much on the head if you're a "true" Capricorn (having no cusp influences) but if the person in question falls under a cusp, then the preceding or following sign (whichever is closest) will have effects on them. (Basically, it's as if the person has traits of two signs.) Even then though, it's not something that will work the way it should when applied to the GG cast (since in most cases only the month and day are known) Having the year gives a better picture but without a time and place of birth, the ascendant can't be determined; this is important since it defines the starting point on a horoscope chart. A good, general chart can still be cast by MM/DD/YYYY method, but some of the planet in sign/house readings might be a little off. A year or so ago, I did cast a chart for Ky (since his year can be roughly determined) but I can't recall what the reading was. I can pull it out again if you're interested or do charts for a few other characters. TL;DR: I'm an astrology nut and astrological influence draws more on the whole than just one part. Of course, as mentioned previously, the character's birthdays tend to follow that of their voice actors so it's really kind of a toss-up on whether it's nothing more than that, or if real consideration was put into it.

@ilikeusingdizzy I do play, just not as often as I used to. Skill level for me would be probably be around Intermediate I guess. I play in tournaments at conventions (but I never place very high) and I can hold my own against some of the better players in friendly matches. I still have a lot to learn though, so it's kind of a toss-up. Currently, I do not have any videos on YouTube.

Even though I don't like the pairing, that's a cute picture DK. I especially like the fact that you drew Dizzy with her hair down (I think she looks much prettier that way than with it pulled up in silly pigtail loops).

You forgot: Dr. Baldhead - August 21st Sin - May 31st Izuna - August 3rd Raven - March 28th Valentine, That Man & Dr. Paradigm are unknown. And Potemkin's is actually the 18th. Random- Dr. Paradigm's from America, the state of Ohio to be precise (according to the Material Collections book) WTH? EDIT: How would that work in the case of Sol/Order Sol then? He's been voiced by both Daisuke (August 14th) and George (April 22nd).
