  1. no, i dont want no pigeons! them be them girls who get no dubs from me playin the bar dumb broke with her best friends coat trying to holla at me!
  2. if you hit a 2a you should probably just go into a special move and combo. i really dont know if its better, but its a habit of mine and it seems to work well.
  3. ya im down kumlekar, when do you play?
  4. i wouldnt be stuck in the boundary if the list was updated, which now looks unlikely lol. id do it myself if i could.
  5. thats what i thought. but after trying it in training mode its not so hard after all.
  6. tru dat^. i always try to rush nu. she kinda reminds me of people in sf who spam fire balls, always leaving openings to be attacked. needless to say i havent fought any really good nu's yet. everyone online is "Noel Ragnajin"
  7. how the heck do you super jump after the 2c in time to hit with j.2c in the j.2c combos. am i missing something or do i just suck really bad at timing.
  8. nice^ i was wondering...since hakus dash is like a mini hop and can enable air moves, why cant we airdash during it?
  9. i personally use the meter for combos. sometimes a distortion might be a part of the combo tho.
  10. the only problem i have with that ^ combo is the super jump. i can never seem to do it and when i do its late so they tech and recover. any secrets to that? omg i just realized today that you can do custom ranked games. i was using quick match the whole time.
  11. haha that mike z guy is crazy.
  12. Is it always a good idea to tech? like is there any reason for just falling and recovering normally?
  13. I gotcha. I guess I should play the same way, but the instant win is more gratifying than the gradual learning process of proper play. Maybe what I need is to play against better people.
  14. But am I really learning by playing someone who cant even break that simple cycle? There isn't much more to learn other than combos and strategies. The rest is just judgement and reaction. I know it may not be the proper way to learn the character, relying on "combos" that arent really combos, but as long as you are aware it wont work on better players, whats to stop you from using it against not so good players? Why not, at least, try it? Its not like you're gonna get mopped up if you mess up.
  15. It might not be a combo, but if you can actually pull it off on a player, why not exploit it for as much damage as possible? There might be some people out there that aren't good at teching grabs yet...take me for example. While it might not be a good idea for the better players, it can at least be used on beginners, for fun and inducing funny replies.
  16. theyre just unexpected. i guess if i expect people to throw, i might be better at reacting to it, but im always more focused on something else. only played the game once so maybe itll come with more time.
  17. ^harder than it sounds...for me at least. teching throws is kinda hard. and so is timing drive counters.
  18. some things that happened to me when i was fighting my friend's Carl... -my C attacks would miss/get blocked and hed come in for a little combo for about 1/5 of my health. -he'd get me in the clap loop and i didnt know whether i should burst out of it or take the hits and try to escape another way. -he'd use Nirvana's punching special then jump/dash around me or low attack/overhead me in attempt to mix me up, and it eventually did. -he grabbed me a lot, which would lead into one of those 1/5 hp combos. -his nirvana would be behind me, out of view, and he'd make it do a drill punch to my back, then throw or combo me after. -he'd do the infinite, which i didnt exactly know how to get out of, being my first time playing the game. so i guess my advice would be...only use C if it has a high chance of hitting or if its safe, learn how to tech grabs and use hakumens drive counter effectively (thats a big one), learn how to block crazy mixups, learn to IB consistently, be defensive and wait for an opening even when Nirvana is out of sight, learn how to punish with combos consistently, and learn how to get out of that damn infinite. oh and 6C > 632146C DEVASTATES Carls HP. get that off, preferably from a 6A counter hit, and youve pretty much got the match won if you can keep your cool and finish WITH JUSTICE!
  19. thats what i thought, but sometimes my friend doesnt attack when he jumps in, he might block instead or even do nothing at all. and sometimes hed jump in when Nirvana was in the middle of an attack and i wouldnt know what to do.
  20. ahhh i see. the times it worked they mustve been counter hits. should i always try to get counter hits then? on the 6a?
  21. thanks. i really messed up then, cuz half the time i was trying to find ways to launch that shit. another question, when an enemy jumps in and i 6a, can i combo that into 6c and then ultimately 632146c? it worked a couple of times, but a lot of times it was recoverable.
  22. just played the game for the first time today. my friend brought it over. IBing happens a lot more than i expected it to. i was able to beat my friend's carl about 25% of the time and hes had the game for a week. i think i would have had more success had i been able to combo more things than 6C > 632146C. oh and the drive counter has such a small window, it was so hard to hit with it. i had the most success with the air one. i attempted j.2C combos but i was never able to get more than 2 hits off w/o screwing up. the dash is hard for me for some reason. just curious, when (if at all) does 2C launch the opponent? and does it successfully link into the j.2C combo?
