I really need some pointers on this. I keep losing to a guy who doesnt even play this game. Any and all help would be wonderful.

Can anyone drop me a good BnB combo to get started with learning Makoto?

This would be the greatest. I really want to get into blazblue more then casually every now and then. A mentor would be awesome.

must have missed the memo...just moved to this neighborhood. not sure how this community operates compared to others....but thats why im here. obviously... but everything said in this thread alone has helped....asking the right questions....never realized I needed that mindset. MvC3 is about THROW MORE ASSISTS AND TELEPORT MORE.

I would ask players in the same character threads. characters I like playing with. but more of the seasoned vets wouldnt even bother responding. and asking random people never works. you just get disregarded.

That is VERY rare to come by. and like I said 'go practice' does not help unless you know WHAT your practicing. I spent countless of hours in the lab on MvC3 and am I better then all of my friends? Easily. but I dont want to just beat my friends. I want to be what ive come to define as "Stream worthy". I want to log into dust loop (or at the time SRK) and feel like Im a name someone remembers.

I dig what your saying but ive encountered many a time where I didnt have the level of sharingan to comprehend exactly what the person did, or was trying to do. but I think thats on me....im nto sure how to level up without finding the houston TX scene meetups.

Go practice what? Time in the lab means nothing when no progress is made. its not about quantity but quality and a new comer like me hits walls frequently and doesnt know where to go from there. Plus just telling them "go practice more"really feels more like your getting brushed off. 'Dont talk to us until you have reached our level." Im not trying to whine but this was my big issue with SRK and MvC3. I would be talking to people who are top players asking for tidbits of advice and they would brush you aside with "go practice" or no respond at all. Im not looking for the easy way out. you dont become good over night but I couldnt even figure out what to do to get better. aside from switching my morrigan/doom/dante team to a standard dormmamu/doom/sentinel. telling someone "If you wanna be good stop playing with bottom tier characters" That doesnt help either.

Its very difficult. most people wont really try to help you out. I wish there was like a mentoring program or something on these forums. that way someone who knows the game and plays similar to you play style can help you progress. It really difficult to tooth and nail through these things just to feel like you have gotten no where.

Simple means new people wont be scared to join in and try to get decent at the game. Cause being on these forums and reading every ones knowledge about fighting games is very intimidating....feels like its almost impossible to level up!

Im very fond of wesker and morrigan from MVc3....any idea characters that would suit me? I tried makoto but sheesh I cant win with her to save my soul...and yeah Z motions are the friggin worst.

also what game could I play to maybe prepare for this game? I was never spectacular at mvc3 but its hard to get it outta my head. SF has to many damn buttons. XD

I remember attempting the challenge mode with makoto in BB....yeah I was like this is wayyy confusing and complicated...I couldnt figure the input timimg at all.

Big persona fan...LURVE me some mitsuru.....Used to play mvc3 a lot but im moving away from capcom BS. I usually play rush down characters....so a charge character is brand new to me. and how is the transition from Mvc3 to this type of game? anything I should be wary of?
