  1. PSN ID is Browncoat3. From Miami, FL. I'll be in NYC in about a month though, but it's still east coast, so maybe it doesn't matter much? Also, I've run into 10stars on PSN randomly. Needless to say I lost horribly, but it was a great wake up call to improve my Bang.
  2. In the matches I've had with Tao, I've had the same problems as everyone else so far. She's freaking faster than Bang and her stupid low poke makes 2D almost useless. I've picked up a few things so I'll just list em... -Pretty much every Tao I faced liked to do that annoyingly fast low poke until Bang was out of range, dash in, and either poke again or do something else. If you can predict when she'll dash in, Bang's 2A will beat Tao to the punch. If the Tao is good expect to see them doing IAD after the pokes or doing her drive. One Tao I faced particularly liked to use her drive to dash behind Bang and continue from there. I eventually caught on and had some success with 5D after he drive dash. Also, this applies to any matchup, but using barrier to screw up her spacing is always useful, especially since it feels like she's always attacking. -The only luck I've had in hitting her out of the air was a well timed or just plain lucky 2D with A teleport (if I didn't Teleport I found Tao's next attack was so fast she hit me before my counter could come out) or a j.B. If I do hit her with j.B and I'm close enough, double jump towards her and j.c worked. The sooner I can start putting on my own pressure the better. If I'm far away and connect with j.B, well...I sort of hoped I could catch her again really. -Drive nails! As if they weren't awesome enough. It's really hard to resist abusing them just because they lock her down so well, which is what Bang needs to do as soon as he can to win I think. I tried to avoid using them in block strings too much just because they're so important in getting her to stop moving around. I try to hit her with a hi/low mixup or a throw instead of using the nails. When I use them I try to make sure she'll have to block all of them or be hit, or use them to keep her from dashing up/way/etc. - A few of the Taokakas I fought got really aggressive and desperate to finish the fight in the later stages of the round. If you're feeling lucky, use 2363214C. I found that it usually caught a Taokaka that was dashing in. If you're not feeling lucky an assault counter will always get her off of you and that 50 heat might just save your life. -From watching Dora play against Taokaka, I noticed j.D was useful. I don't know if this is Dora being really good or if it is a really effective tool in this matchup. -I think 5D is the most useful drive here, considering how Taokaka can attack from pretty much anywhere she likes with relative quickness. 2D if she's coming from the air and you feel you can time it right also works. Wish I could play against good people consistently. Over all I'd say it's an extremely annoying matchup, slightly in Tao's favor just because she's faster than Bang and will usually beat him air to air.
  3. Is it generally a bad idea to try and catch a Tager with your own command throw? Usually I'll throw one out just to keep my mixups fresh, but it seems kind of dangerous considering his own command throw is faster, has more range, (I think) and has some weird invincibility frames. Also, I've had a good Tager time the invincibility on his backdash to avoid my command throw only to land his own command throw. It hurt. I guess I should just stick to putting on pressure in other ways?
  4. Thanks. I have trouble navigating zoome and the like usually. http://zoome.jp/gamechariot2/diary/16 It saddens me to see Dora make the same mistake I do at 1:23. Damn Noel's hitbox.
  5. I can't find the new videos, although I think I've clicked about every link on that page. I'm probably missing something really obvious, but could you help me out? I love Dora's Bang, it inspires me.
  6. If Noel uses the distortion where she pulls out a laser minigun sort of weapon and fires away, you can do tk D nails on reaction and hit her out of it if you're close. Granted, you could always just do 5D or 2D on reaction and teleport behind her, but I find it oddly satisfying throwing a bunch of nails in her face... Also when she starts spamming that 5a pressure string, I find barrier guard confuses the heck out of a lot of Noels online. It pushes her back at just the range bang needs to do 5B into whatever. I'm sure this is just because I'm not playing any good Noels, but if you find yourself annoyed by someone mindlessly spamming 5a, that helps.
  7. Thanks, I see what you mean now. I'm having more success now, it's just a matter of practice and getting the timing down.
  8. When you say 63 inputs, do you mean doing 636 and then d.B? I'm trying to find a consistent way of doing this online, but I don't think there's any easy trick to like there is in the 6239B bnb, unfortunately.
  9. I have run into someone with the PSN ID Mynus, and it was a really good Carl. I'm not sure if it's the same Mynus 10stars mentioned, but, I did pick up a few things... -In the first moment of most matches we had, this Carl played it safe. He liked to hide behind Nirvana, who will soak up any drive nails. I found that to be really annoying. At first I charged in to put the pressure on as soon as I could, but I usually just ate an attack from Nirvana. I tried baiting an attack from Nirvana and then attacking Carl instead and had loads of more success, when it did work. -This Carl player liked to do this approach from fullscreen. Nirvana would wind up and do a lunging punch while Carl would air dash over Nirvana's head, using his multistab special (I'm not too familiar with Carl's movelist, sorry). It really pushes back the guard libra if you try to block it, so I usually threw drive nails from above to get him to stop. Looking back I think countering with 5d and then teleporting with A might have also worked. -I tried to separate Carl from Nirvana asap, usually with a bnb that ends in 623C. Without Nirvana he was pretty much helpless to anything I wanted to do; j.c, j.4c, 2a, etc. I just kept mixing it up and he couldn't do much about it except guess or die. On the other hand... -When I can't separate Carl from Nirvana I had a tough time getting the momentum on my side. Don't EVER get stuck between Carl and Nirvana; it's exactly where Carl wants you. Whenever that happened to me I was pretty much screwed unless I could time a lucky guard point or jump out. Also, clap loop hurts. Be wary for throws and its setups -Carl's hitbox is small. I wiffed with 5a or C nail a few times and it cost me. I'm sure better Bang players won't have this problem, but it aggravated me... This Mynus and I played about 5 matches. Not many, but this is what I gathered from them. Hope other Bang players can learn and improve on it.
