  1. Ok, I want to settle this once and for all. When can you tech out of the 720 and 360 grabs? I've noticed that when playing and I grab someone in a 720 (not during a combo or block stun, or throw counter) that it will say "Throw reject missed" sometimes. Does this mean it is possible to tech out of it? I know you can tech it during a block stun or combo. I also know it cannot be teched if it was a counter throw. So what's the verdict?
  2. Does anyone else have trouble going from a 2:abt: -> 6:abt:? Everytime I attempt this I get a sledge instead. That is, if I go too fast I get a sledge, if I go too slow, I get a blocked 6:abt:....frustrating. I think this game has easy inputs like SF4 unfortunately.
  3. I was going to main Ragna when I heard about the game. He looked closest to Sol which is what I felt comfortable with. After playing the game, I was disappointed with Ragna so I switched to Arakune. But then I saw Tager. I thought he was just the lame token grappler every fighting game usually has until I learned about his magnetism aspects and that he was a grappler with neat combos, not just "grab you when your close, otherwise all I have are 1-2 hit pokes". Thus, my main became tager and I've been smashing Nu's and Jin's into the concrete since. I still use Arakune every now and then.
  4. This is how I hold mine:
  5. I see, that must be the one then because she didn't have her staff and I'm also a fan of keeping my barrier, especially with Tager. He has enough health to where you don't ever wanna burst early, I really save it for the end of the line.
  6. Not sure which they are but yes, some of her attacks are unblockable from the air. EDIT: Hrmm, I may be wrong on this actually. I don't think she has any drive moves that aren't air blockable.
  7. I'm curious of this matchup, I ran into a Litchi last night that had me in what almost seemed like an infinite combo she would do over and over. I don't use Litchi much so I'm not sure what the hell she was doing but it was like the same 4 hits over and over and I couldn't tech out of it, definitely one of the tougher Tager match-ups. Curious in know what the hell this was and how to avoid/get out of it.
  8. This match is extremely tough versus a Nu who knows what the hell they're doing. Sledging like an idiot will get you killed. If the Nu just wants to sit there and wait for you to make the first move, good luck getting in on Nu. Nu controls this match completely. Only thing you can hope to do is capitalize on a mistake. Best thing to gain ground is to jump or super jump and immediately barrier to gain ground until you are within sledge range. Do not sledge your way through unless you're completely sure you can hit her (even if she blocks it) with the end of the animation or if you feel Nu is already committed to her :dbt: crap and you can get two sledges off. If you got one of those idiots cornered and try to air dash over you and start the whole process again, I try to predict it and jump and air grab or knock Nu out of the air with some aerial pokes if possible. Also, if you see Nu throw out her horizontal distortion drive, barrier that bitch and if she rushes at you while you're in block stun, block low and watch for an overhead and expect a throw. I rarely barrier burst this match, because you're screwed without a barrier. No more jumping and blocking the spam anymore. It's just a really retarded match-up and needs some tuning from Arksys. It's not very fun and feels dumbed down.
  9. This works on noobs all the time: Spark bolt -> immediately empty jump -> 720 and hold it. Assuming the spark bolt connected and wasn't blocked.
  10. I personally love to do the -> -> -> (buffer 720) -> EAT CONCRETE! Works great, most of the time I time it just right to where it won't combo and as long as they don't jump, it connects and they can't tech it. Just one of Tager's neat tricks. Just don't get predictable with it, I like to mix it up by going into sledge from , or even -> just to keep them guessing. Another one that can catch some people off guard (will rarely work on the experienced player) Spark bolt -> Empty jump -> 720 Most of the time they expect for you to combo Spark bolt -> -> into whatever. I always laugh when I get someone with that one, because you can see it coming a mile away.
