Oh right on. My biggest problem with the previous game was the free KnJ since it made certain characters seem worthless. -shrug- Can you still call assists during hit or block stun?

I'm going to pick up a copy once it gets to bargain-bin status. What changes to the fighting system have they made? The previous game wasn't too grand as far as the actual fighting goes.

I'm sure we are part of the minority here but I would like this as well. I know that it's 2012 and blah blah blah but still not everyone has the money to buy a fancy, lag-less HDTV.

Friend of mine brought CT over and was like "hey this game is kinda like guilty gear." I've played the series from the beginning but never got really good at it. I hope to change that in Extend.

Exactly. I'm not trying to hate on the game by any means. There are a few things about it that concern me so I'm going to wait a bit before I buy it.

Hello Mu boards! I decided to switch to Mu-12 in Extend since she fits my playstyle more than Jin does. I played a few online matches with her and used 5C > 6C > set stein a lot as a long range blockstring. No one I played punished me for it so I'm wondering if that is really safe? I doubt it is, and if it isn't I want to know so I don't get stuck in bad habits.

I wonder if Carmine has a way to heal himself? I doubt it though since that could be ridiculous in the grand scheme of things.

I like the game's style. I'll definitely pick up a copy if that's even possible (non-arcade release).

A bit off topic here but what actually happened to the Third Strike port? Everyone was hype for a month after release then it disappeared.

I know that the Bang change was because they couldn't get in contact with Tony Oliver in time. Not sure if they are permanent.

Sorry if it sounded like I was getting mad at you because I wasn't. :x Unfortunately Rock and Zasalamel's styles aren't in the game. Astaroth's is though. Basically, the fighting is great this time around and the game has one of the best netcodes for today's fighters. However if you're into it just for the fun one player stuff (story, CaS, etc) then you should probably wait for the price to drop.

KoF13 doesn't have that much 1P stuff so you might not enjoy it. The people saying that KoF13 is one of the best fighters out there are strictly talking about the actual fighting/balance... which is very important considering it's a fighting game. I've heard a lot of good things about Extend's Abyss/Legion/whatever-its-called mode though. Plus everyone says CSE is the best of them all balance wise.

My friends baited me into thinking that they actually enjoyed this fighting game. Turns out that they only wanted to spend 3 hours creating their perfect characters, then another 5 minutes actually playing as those characters. lolmidwest

The leveling isn't too bad if you can afford to keep your system on overnight. There is a way to AFK grind the points but it requires a turbo controller. I'm level 99 and I'm surprised at the low amount of CaS gear in this game. I'm not sure how you unlock the other stuff (or if there IS other stuff), but as it is now I wouldn't pay $60 for CaS alone.

It may be just you. I mean no offense when I say this, but you're the only one ever complaining about "cheap gay noob spamming" in this thread. People always tell you to find a way around it but noooo. :/

I did at one point when I wasn't very serious about the game. They had one BB player back then, hopefully there are more by now. I'll check it out. edit: checked in with them and they've moved on for the most part. forever alone

Very late roll call here... not sure if my post will matter, but it's worth a shot. I live in Garrett which is a very small town 15-20 minutes away from Fort Wayne. Honestly I do not consider myself to be good at this game at all. I play it because I enjoy it the most out of today's fighters. I main Jin, and I guess you can (barely) call me a training mode monster. I can do some combos but when it comes to actually playing the game my gameplan falls apart. I would definitely be motivated to get better at this game if I had more people to play with. I'll probably start netplaying when Extend comes out next week if any of you want to play me on PSN.
