That's a great idea. Back when I played SF4, the Gen players had a thing for different crossup setups and things, and a similar doc for Venom players just for different tech as well as useful ball formations per character, or something, could be really, really useful.

If he's on top of you/pressuring, watch for 6H. you could jump IB into throw in AC/+R but I'm not sure if that's still the case because I don't get a lot of Axl practice anymore and don't own the game to test. 6H is his main pressure reset tool in the corner and his other stuff is fairly IB-able or FD-able. Midscreen, backdash until you're fullscreen and set balls. Or, if you have meter, stinger YRC (either one) into ball setting is a fantastic way to get back on your feet. Historically this matchup is really really heavily in favor of Venom because your balls can hit all of his ranged normals. the only thing you have to look out for is rensen (his [4]6S). Basically you beat him in the corner by baiting DP and pressuring him pretty hard, he KIND of goes even with you midscreen because of rensen range, and full screen (outside of rensen range) you beat him because you can set balls for free and he has to come to you.

So wait. Set the ball in the air, then on your way down, j.D? I'm confused what the l is before the j.D in both of these. landing? Do you set ball, land, jump, do a falling j.D and jump again?
-
Going air to air with her is a pain. Her j.D and j.S are stupid good and her grenades eats balls, so if she doesn't have grenade on you, just anti-air her, because she doesn't have tremendous jump in attacks.Don't have much more to add that anyone else hasn't said already. Overall this matchup doesn't seem THAT bad except when she gets in. Try and get on dat ass and once you're in make it count, since you REALLY REALLY don't want her getting momentum.

Finally got some experience under my belt with this matchup. Unfortunately I also got absolutely crushed, lol. If the sword is already set on top of you (inactive) and the ram sets it to attack again, it will come out FAST. WAY faster than it does when the thing has to travel at you. After you burst in the corner, it's unsafe to set balls or stinger without YRC. Ram's 6P is not that great but her 5H with sword is monstrous and can lead to big damage so be picky with your jump ins, always have a ball set up and really, just approach from the ground unless it's oki. Safe jump Explode when she has meter, as it's her only reversal option outside of DAA. If you get in the corner, good luck. Shit is awful. FD a LOT to push her away, and try to watch for command grab or you'll eat like 1/3 of your life or so.

Played a lot more of this matchup at NWM. Stun edge through gate is a lot more annoying than I had previously thought. Just be super careful with ball set ups. Don't go too crazy with throwing them out. It's better to set them up for the threat of them than to actually send them flying, really, if he's setting up gates. I feel like this matchup is a lot closer to even than I had thought before. It's much harder to set up against Ky with the gated stun edges, and that alone pushes this matchup as pretty damn close to being even. Your f.S still is really good and f.S stinger RC should be a go-to combo starter from neutral. Also keep the pressure on. Ky's DP still sucks. I'm not saying completely disrespect it, but as long as you every once in a while approach with raw 2D into whatever you want, you can scare them into not DPing against you and keep them in the corner longer.

when I was there, I think 2GB Combo was still in, and he was playing Venom. I went 2-2 this weekend. Played like hell against some guy and also ran into Veteru in my pools who spanked me. When I'm more awake and have collected my thoughts, I'll try to come up with some things to post in specific match ups.

Yeah, ideal K ball mixup is that you hit the K ball to where it'll force them to block, and then you either land and go low, airdash j.S j.H into c.S, airdash jab(x1 or x2) into landing throw, etc. There are certain spacings where I think you could get the K ball to hit them AS you're crossing them over? but it's really just made to make them block the ball while you mix up. If it's hitting them too early for mixup, just start adding a little delay into your running jK. I usually visually react to when he finishes the ball animation (As in, I don't just go muscle memory to know when the ball animation starts up, I'll see him ACTUALLY finish the animation, then react to that and jump. makes it a little bit slower = more delay = better chance you'll hit them meaty with the ball) but find out a method that works for you.

Wow, Pot not being able to flick supers is interesting. I wonder why the change? Yeah, BRO is going to be a lot better at neutral in this matchup I'd think. Balls into Bishop into more balls is a bad day for Potemkin.

Practice 2K, c.S(2), carcass and c.S(2), 2H, carcass. You can add a 2D in the first one after close slash if they don't faultless. Typically, just always, always try to be charging down back when doing close slash so that you can throw out carcass or stinger RC or w/e.

Yeah, the only reason I know about that even is this video.

FDB can flick any actual projectile, and though it keeps going after a successful flick, I believe he can block dark angel after flicking it. I'm not sure how it affects Bishop Runout. Still don't have a damn PS3/4 to test. (so be gentle, a lot of this is stuff I'm assuming is still the same from AC/AC+R). FDB projectile works like dark angel. It'll absorb other projectiles and just keep going. Dark angel and FDB should simply pass right through each other.

Yeah I definitely didn't mean that you can just do that for free, my bad. But it's safe if you land, and then block. If he does dp, block and punish and if he doesn't, pressure because the ball should keep him in enough block stun for that.
