Good to finally be at casuals. Despite having Friday off next week too, I don't think I can make it there again, since I'll likely be in Riverview by then.

I've seen Tager combo with CT, did like 3.5-4k midscreen and added magnetism midway.

No doubt the nerfs hurt, and I saw fumo take one for the team as well, but remember everyone is still in the developmental phase. Just as we saw Fumo get blown up, we also saw some unnamed Arakune player completely dominate and run a win streak, it works both ways. j.c > j.d gone is alright with me, since it's replaced with a 40% ender, but I am personally going to miss 2b > 2a. On the other hand, I think his buffs will carry him more definitively than the nerfs will hinder him. My hype for pre-curse being stronger is definitely true, proven from even loketests, everyone is still finding their center, but I'm fairly optimistic that Arakune will be one of the better characters.

What, it's stronger. 22abc gives him stronger air control, so fucks like Hazama can't just derp the night away (and Tager and Hakumen is on super lockdown, since the majority of their travel vs Arakune is in the air) and he has midscreen oki, thanks to the same move. OD attributes to this as well, going CT on everyone's asses. I can see how this alone can give him match up leverage. On other notes to why I really like CP Arakune, his combos were re-worked to be easier, devaluing the need for dive cancels and timed IADs, his command teleports have, in my opinion, been buffed to appear more confusing and disorienting, helping him pre and during curse. Not saying he's zomg too good for this game, but a stronger pre-curse will definitely help in the long run, and there is no doubt to me that he has just that. What are your thoughts?

They kept to their promise to make it look faster. Looks nice. The new voices are always good, as well as seeing the Crush Triggers being put to practical use. The new stages are amazing, and the new choices of instruments definitely adds a touch of elegance to the already classy graphical structure of BB. As for my character, Arakune; He looks really really strong, Like CT>>>>>>>CP>>>>>>>CS1>>>>>>>>>>>>CSE>>>CS2. A stronger pre-curse game helps far more than one would normally think. The shorter curse is inconsequential when obtaining curse is so much easier than it's been since CT. Plus he can still score 3-5k with curse, which is strong enough given the overall damage and combo length nerf given across the board. His zoning is amazingly effective and actually has air control this time around (clouds don't count), he has real oki, and options about where to place his opponents at the end of a combo, increasing flexibility, and thus potentially making match ups more lucrative. I think he will stay strong until the Murakumos start saturating the scene, and even then he will have plenty of options on how to approach and combo them. Real oki helps match ups like those the best, since Arakune naturally has terrible rushdown abilities. Just so far from what I've seen.

Thing is all I ever wanted for Arakune was to have a good pre-curse game, and that's exactly what they gave him. How good it really is is yet to be seen, since everyone is still in the discovery phase of things, but it's nothing short of huge buff for him. Shorter curse is easier to live with since his pre-curse combos have greater return with oki and better zoning, which in turn makes it easier to inflict curse. It's a fair trade, and OD just makes it all jokes.
