BBCS tourney actually went pretty well! Except for big, bearable lag-TV. Dropping advanced combos, nooooooo. I stopped by because I had time and someone had already registered me. Also wanted to check it out. GGs to everyone and nice to meet you Spinzaku; I was the Noel player.

It's a big screen HDTV (42"...?) with, at most, bearable lag. I don't think it was completely lagless, but games were played out quite smoothly imo. I missed some shit, but that was probably just me dropping combos.

Yeahhh, that was the first thing I asked them a week or two ago, and they wouldn't give me an answer until now. 6PM. Turnout is starting to look okay; set-ups/space look abysmal. Even if we do bring extra consoles/monitors, I highly doubt there's extra space to fit in there. Unless they make space, which we cannot guarantee at this moment (fuck I don't know why people give me info in broken fragments if they want me to promote their event goddammit). Oh, I can get that information tomorrow. Single elimination rules and all that jazz is for the TO to see if people are willing to play BBCS, so it's pretty much a "test run". If it goes well, they will continue to run BBCS tournaments with proper rules, more space, better shit, etc. $2 entry fee. ;D Sorry Cake, perhaps there will be a much better tournament hosted in the near future that won't be announced all of a sudden.

Okay, so for now I got this: "There's 6 confirmed players and more to come; it's a small, but the first tourney for BB in Burnaby." "Tournament is Single Elimination; Games will be set to 3 rounds (best out of 5 rounds)." It's a tiny place. I'm guessing they only have room for the 1 giant HDTV that they already have. I'll try and get more info tomorrow, guy's not responding to me anymore. I don't even know how serious this tournament is. It's starting to sound like it's "cramped+very few players+badly organized=no fun."

I really don't think it's worth it for you to make the trip down to this particular tournament. I've been there once to check it out, and they had 1 giant HDTV in a small corner. No more than 5 people can fit in there to watch/play comfortably, unless they move shit around and get some more monitors for this tournament. I don't even know who's organizing it; I'm just getting info from a friend of mine... who I can't seem to contact right now. Hmm. I'll keep you updated. =3 I think there'll be at most, 2 actual good players, and 3 decent ones. From what I've heard last week anyway.
