    The GreaT BoBo
  1. could be timing specific for a setup, could be just easier for him the way he does inputs. Could just be a habit. could be a billion things. Remember folks, not everything people who are really good do is precisely calculated. You've been listening to too much James Chen and Ultradavid if you believe that. in the end I doubt it really matters all that much. The important thing was to get the agito to connect for the corner mixup. that's about it.
  2. I'm no expert, but I think it makes sense for the situation. His combo was already pretty prorated, and wasn't going to kill mu with the meter he had if he burned it all. Using Agito like that guarantees he'll get a corner mixup. She was already low on life, so any open he got he could kill her without using much meter, so in that situation makes sense. And yeah people already said it; the 6A -> D counter is basically just a frametrap. Kind of a risky one, but it is what it is.
  3. just some sketching bored at work. https://scontent-a-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/993414_552867968102059_1821487284_n.jpg
  4. You're going to quit Blazblue because Zantetsu, a move you don't use more than 3-5% of the time, got nerfed? I suppose it's an unnecessary nerf, but at this point, complaining about values of damage modifiers is really dumb. Damage is always relative to what everyone else is doing. Zantetsu might be a big chunk in the new game - or it might be a big nerf. Hard to say at this point. In UMVC3, doing 70% damage combos is weak because if you can't tod someone then who gives a fuck. In SF4, anyone with 30% + BnBs was a lot of damage and really OP. It all depends on what damage everyone else in the game will be doing on average. And we won't know what that is until the game comes out. in CT, 3.5k I'd say was about the norm. CS2, the average was about 2.8k with about 4k average in the corner. Also, giving hakumen a command grab would be like giving Zangief a divekick. just my 2c.
  5. Zanshin is high risk/high reward, though the high reward part can be debatable. Most japanese players don't rely on it because it's a risky move to attempt a counter, unless you have ungodly reactions. Defense isn't about counters really, it's more about knowing the situations in which to use them.
  6. Try to post in the Matchup thread for Hazama, you'll get better answers than here. And this question isn't for the purpose of this thread, really.
  7. He was just mashing counters to random out that arakune. He tried to do the same thing to the Rachel and got destroyed. Being reckless is cool now and then. He was just mashing that drive button. Counters are just really hype and when they see someone land a bunch of them people get excited. Literally everytime he was under pressure he was hitting D, fuck blocking. I was like, wtf, am I watching American play?
  8. That hakumen player posted today was pressing those counter buttons QUITE hard. I've seen much safer and better play than that.
  9. What Ryoko just said, I'd also like to add that even though I haven't played CS2 yet, from what I've seen, Hakumen looks like he'll still be a solid character. You have to consider the fact that a lot of other characters lost a lot of midscreen damage, too. Not just H-Man. CS2 is going to be about corner-carrying then taking their life. Hakumen has all the tools he needs to take someone to the corner, with plenty of corner combos that hurt.
  10. Hakumen's Counter Assault is no longer a 6D, it's a 6A shoulder attack.
  11. If Hakumen's meter gain is even slower, I doubt we'll see people burning 3 stars off a 4C too often for 2.5k damage unless to finish. Then again, it also depends on just how much everyone's damage got nerfed relative to Hakumen's. But we'll see.
  12. I honestly don't know how to react to the changes. CSII is going to be a whole new game, and there's no way I can say how I feel about it until I've actually sat down with the game.
  13. To me, this is really fucking stupid. If beginner mode adds more people to a tournament? Shit, more free money to the pot, IMO.
