  1. I'm having sort of the same problems as Penguinizer. Forward dashing usually comes out pretty well for me unless the match gets hectic and I become inaccurate. It seems sometimes I'm not letting the stick get to neutral (from the looks of the input display). Back-stepping seems to be my weakness (on the 1p side). Usually my back-step just ends up a backwards walk. IAD I've got down pat though, most likely because the inputs are simple enough not to mess up. I've tried IADing with a octo-gate and a square and I'm pretty consistent with both. Square is easier to find the diagonals but I feel more comfortable with an octo-gate. @Penguinizer Are you using a square or octagonal gate when doing double quarter circles. My problem with square is I get hung up on it, where I'm not at 4 but at 1 (when compared to the numb pad). It thinks its because the throw is much shorter on a square than an octo. On an octo the throw is longer but i don't seem to get hung up on a direction. Everything aside my real question is does anyone have any tips on being more accurate with back-stepping and forward dashing? Should I mod to decrease my throw? Or just try to strengthen up my hand?
  2. I don't see a lot of Hell's Spike use in combos. It does pretty good damage but the only move you can cancel is 3C. 5A - 3C - 214D - RC - 6A into whatever air combo. Can anyone build on that. I never use hell's spike I feel like I'm limiting myself.
  3. What are the problems your are having with Ragna? I would think each character has a glass ceiling. All characters are going to have flaws you just need to know how to not exploit them.
  4. I usually start a mix up with 6D j.D > 5B 5C 214A 214D. It works pretty well but if they block i always continue with the combo and use a throw after hells fang. Or instead of hells fang you can go with 2D and follow up with an anti-air.
  5. I find watching the combo vids are really helpful. Don't destroy yourself over it though. I like to play a bit and get in a few wins then call it a night. I don't want to press my luck. Try playing score attack a bit to polish your game. Training mode works too but i think they are harder on score attack. Its a good idea to train with different characters to learn they're attacks. But don't overdo it, if you lose a lot for a night just do something else. Try mini ninjas!
  6. you can combo into gauntlet Hades from 6C if you delay the 214D you can combo into 5B then ID or you can try 6C jump cancel after the 2nd hit j.D jump cancel j.D Inferno Divider. Now if you use 2D you can follow it up with 5C then jump cancel into an air combo. You can counter jin's ice car if you mash A before he hits you. Honestly his jab is crappy but you can replace it with 5B. If you use 6A then try 5B 6A 5C jump cancel jC jD cancel jC jD inferno divider. also if you use 6C and they block the first hit dash cancel the second hit and grab em.
  7. I use 5B 2B 5C 2C 2D the 2D usually doesn't combo. Sometimes it does but i don't want it to because i follow it up with 5C. If it combos and I finish it with an air combo into I.D. it does substantially less damage than if it were to not combo. They can't roll out of the 5C either. Why would 2D combo at the end? Is it because they are crouching or is it from starting the combo with a counter?
  8. I've been plating BB for a little while now but can someone explain to me what CH means? I assume it's an acronym.
  9. does anyone know of anything that combos into black onslaught. 4+BC then black onslaught does not work. I'm not sure what CH means either?
  10. I main ragna as well. like each character ragna has a strategy, pressure the opponent. a great anti air that i use is 6A, it leaves you open for some pretty decent combos. you could follow up with an air juggle or 6D JD. Another great ragna strategy is 5C for the first hit. it has such great range you don't have to move from the starting point and its got great frame advantage. from there you can follow up with hells fang or gauntlet hades, which doesn't actually combo but it is an overhead so its pretty hard to block. if you opponent is always blocking you really want to work on your high low mix up. try 5B 2B 5C 2C then combo whatever special move you like. 3C is an excellent sweep and if your fast enough throw in 2 2 C and ragna will grab them off the ground. or you can follow 3C with dead spike or inferno divider. a really great combo i like to use is 2D it will ground them then go with 5C jC into his air juggle. as for the carnage scissors it will only hit once if the first hit is blocked. its a great move but it has almost no invincibility. during the first few seconds but not during the dashing animation. but don't use it alone try using 5D and immediately follow it will carnage scissors. it will combo and it take a pretty good amount of damage. remember combos are sweet and all but if you really want to turn the tide don't use a stupid long combo, the more hits you get in the less damage your combo will do. and delayable means you can do the motion for hells fang and immedietly follow it with the next hit or wait a few seconds. i hope this helps. i know ragna's combos inside and out so lemme know if you need more help!
