Nu should be easy considering certain other sword hurling characters. Some of the other characters though... what makes sense on a 2D plane when you just fight in a straight line looks weird when you have 3 dimensions to move in.

Yeah that's what I meant. I mean, I've got people with that same trick plenty of times, but I always figured they just tried to jump at the last second and got tagged, not that they tried to move and couldn't. I'd hold it deliberately just long enough so they would consider not blocking. Then again in a lot of those situations I definitely see them move so this is different.

CT j.C = EX j.2C CT j.2C = EX j.2A They had the notation for jump cancel in there too which can get confusing. It's the same 623AA combo as always.

I had fun watching how you played Hakumen. I never realized 6C had so much stun on block. A few times I tried to jump out of Shippu and just ate it instead.

Does using 6C[2] make a difference for any combos in EX? I pretty much stick with 6C[1] for every combo and it seems to work fine. It doesn't seem like CS2 where you had to hold it for a certain duration.

Maybe it lands always now because of the changes in frame data. They made j.2C slower after CS1. Actually that sounds similar to what you were just saying. But anyway, if you're trying to figure out how to make the combo work just listen to dioxide.

If I recall correctly, you can mess the combo up by either landing the j.2C too early or too late. Too early and they tech before the 2C. Too late and they tech after the 2C. Although that's hard for me to figure out now since you're supposed to land the j.2C at like the last possible second, so how can it be too late. It's become such muscle memory at this point that I've forgotten how it works.

Combos with 6C are like "BURST HERE PLEASE." Too bad it's a good combo move.

You should also get the 623AA combo down.

Actually, this combo here: (3) [starter] > Renka (1) > Gurren > IAD j.B > j.A, 5C, 2C > sj.B > j.2A, AD j.B > j.2A, j.C If you wanted to make it easier, drop that first 5C. Actually if you wanted to make it real simple: (3) [starter] > Renka (1) > Gurren > IAD j.B > j.A, 2C > sj.B > j.2A, AD j.2A, j.C

Well now I feel stupid. For the main BnBs that should cover it. Hakumen's combos are basically all the same route, except through tons of different starters. As long as you get the mid screen combo down, and the corner version, you should be fine. Then it's just a matter of being able to turn all of your random hits into the combo.

I edited the combo OP to mention dropping j.B if necessary. The non optimal combos are in the large combo list which are for different situations / meter gain / etc. But the BnBs should be optimal ideally.

It's the normal j.B j.A combo except there's a j.B after the second 2C. Anyway I had some trouble too, I remember now I've been ommitting the second j.B myself during matches. Most of the combos I use are based on ease of execution and reliability rather than squeezing out optimal damage. But these guides are supposed to have the optimal ones...

Wait really? I do that j.B combo in like every single match. Are you sure? Let me try that in training mode...

5A > 5B > Gurren > 3C 2A > 2B > Gurren > 3C Things like that.
