If it's only supposed to be used as combo filler I wonder why they didn't just cut out the middleman and just make it Nu with a damage buff all around. More boring I guess.

I thought in the original timeline, the Black Beast was an experiment Terumi made that went out of control. Or at least the original timeline with the BB. lol, I like the way you put it.

That was another thing. What were those beings in Takamagahara anyway. Who made Takamagahara. What was it's purpose. Like I know it reset time loops but why was it supposed to be doing it in the first place.

Yeah, I saw that and it was jarring and weird. Not sure what to think of that. He looked like he was in his Terumi form there too. In which case what was that whole Noel "eye" deal for that he was leading all the loops for. I always assumed the entire point of that was to unlock his old Terumi powers but based on that scene it looked like he already had a body and wasn't a ghost. Also would make Jin a lot less blameworthy. If Terumi was just standing there going LOL I TROLL U while the church burns and Jin is in a daze why would Ragna hate Jin so much. I also remember Terumi saying he did something to Jin's memories to suppress parts of that incident, which made me think he had possessed him.

Hmm... he recognizes Terumi on sight though. Like, how does he even know what he's supposed to look like. He isn't like "Damn who is this guy, what do you mean you cut off my arm, it was Jin," he's just like "TERUMI! MY ARM!" My memory must be corrupted by having CT's story burned into it at the expense of later revelations. Well, you see Jin having the trademark Hazama smile during that scene. And when Ragna sees Jin again later in the story he flashes back to that smile. It was kind of written ambiguously on purpose. When you see it the first time you just have to assume it's Jin since you don't know anything about Terumi, but if you go back and look later with the extra knowledge it fits Hazama just being there too... kind of. Just has it being misleading.

Well, some of it is outdated at this point. But when I was first playing and everything was completely ridiculous it was helpful. Oh right, I forgot about that. But I thought Terumi was the one who possessed him and made him do it? So then ... what did Yukianesa have to do with it. And why does Ragna act like Jin's responsible when he KNOWS Terumi did it. I mean, at first I thought he just didn't know, but he immediately goes after him when he shows up at the end of CT for the whole arm thing.

Well, it makes sense if you think about it. He's piloting this super rare suit from the Boundary, and his biggest rival is a samurai cat. More mysteries: -> What made Terumi such a vile being. In CS' story he kind of hints at it while he's trying to make Noel freak out. -> What Ragna's goal in going after the NOL is. We don't even really know that. -> What exactly happened with Jin and the church to make him kind of just go along with it and want to kill Ragna. -> What secret Arakune understood in the Boundary that would "solve" the BB universe. -> I never really understood what the deal with Nirvana / Ada was. Is it really Ada, or is it Nirvana controlling him, etc., or both

I thought by CS he was at like 40% or something. Maybe Haku is so much stronger than the others that even 20% of him is enough to go even with them.

Yeah, I've tried IADing and trying to j.C before she gets too high, super jumping and j.Cing, super jumping and air throwing, IADing and trying to hit her on the way down, etc. Best I can do is counter her pumpkin on the way down and hope she runs into the catch. But chances are I'll just time it wrong and get hit so it's better to just block. It's been a long time since I fought Rachel though so I might be remembering wrong. I just remember trying out all my options in the middle of the matches and finding nothing.

Maybe there were no heroes or Black Beasts in the original timeline.

Are you guys sure? I've tried everything in the book and I can never hit her on the way up at the start of the round. I guess I'm just fucking it up. Blade, it's harder to do resets on Rachel. If you let her air tech no matter how well you plan it, she's going to have a way easier time escaping than others thanks to her wind. It's better to just nail her down and go for oki unless you're really sure you're gonna land something.

Personally, the more I find out about Relius the more I like him.
