  1. Finally started to feel a little comfortable in this game. I can actually get confirms off of stance slashes now. Haven't worked corner combos into it yet. Just practicing the bare bones routes for now.
  2. ggs everyone. Still losing a lot of matches, but I'm slowly making headway. Got to get the hang of Yuzu's neutral and confirms.
  3. Yeah, you basically just press it before it ends/whenever you need to. Watch what she does when she uses one of those moves. At the end of it, you'll see a small circle appear around her. If you pressed D at an acceptable time, that ring will come out when you pressed it (or at least before it would have otherwise). Her stance stuff really isn't super technical. Most everything is pretty forgiving in terms of timing (though there is a rhythm to it). You just have to get the feel for it.
  4. Man, I won 5 out of ~50 matches I played earlier today. You'll be fine.
  5. Idk, I just do some of both, honestly. If there's a space open and the connection is good, just hop on in.
  6. GGs to everyone I played. I won maybe 5 matches total -_-
  7. Really got to get used to the game's meta. It's really making it tough for me to pull out a win, lol
  8. Guys, I'm in love. Slide holding and D cancelling are lot less strict than I thought they'd be.
  9. Gonna be so borked. Which will only make him more fun.
  10. In love with this game. Still need to put some hours into the lab before going online, but man it this game a blast. That game flow.
  11. Just saw it. Download commencing.
  12. My life in a nutshell atm.
  13. Well, it's just a loketest, so 2.03 won't officially come out for a bit. Still, hoping for some good changes in the final release.
  14. I hope it's sooner rather than later this time. Or at least earlier than when BBCP came out.
  15. I get the feeling that everyone who starts with this character is going to think that Orie's dp is like Ken's when it's really more like Dudley's, lol
  16. She's really not about rushdown. I mean, sure, you're gonna be doing some pressuring too, but a lot of her gameplan has you controlling space with your specials and long range normals until you catch them up.
  17. I think the problem is that you need to use a Japanese address to access the Japanese PSN store, causing the billing address problem. On other sites, you usually don't need to use a fake address to shop there.
  18. Yeah, I could see him still having the lowest health in the game (he does do pretty well in spite of his health), but 8100 is a little ridiculous.
  19. I got them from Play-Asia. You can get them marginally cheaper elsewhere, but Play-Asia's been the most reliable for me. They sent me the codes immediately after I confirmed my order (you can find them in the order details after the transaction's complete). You're gonna be spending about $75 to get the codes ($60 for 5000 yen and $15 for 1000 yen). The markup is pretty crazy for the 1000 yen; but all things considered, it's only a little bit more expensive than the cost to import the physical version w/ shipping. And with the codes, you get it instantly (minus the time it takes you to download).
  20. Well, guard thrust has the advantage in the sense that you can do it while you're blocking. I think you have to be in neutral state to activate Veil-Off.
  21. The store normally updates late Wednesday night (EST). Iirc, the web browser PSN store updates everything at once though, whereas the console version updates content gradually until it's finished.
  22. There was never an official announcement that Fillia would be in the game. That image was basically just a present for the Skullgirls staff.
  23. The only cooldown is the time it takes you to leave the first stance and enter the next.
  24. I've heard some people complain that matches go on for too long, but honestly, I kind of like it. Time overs happen, but not as often as you might think for a game where even matches consistently go into the last third of the time. The fact that it gets close to the end of time but doesn't actually time over that often tells me that the game has a very balanced meta game. Plus, it gives the GRD wheel time to complete more cycles.
  25. While that's most definitely true that the ranking covers every player, I think it's still a reasonable starting point in terms of how to think about a matchup. That said, this game really seems to reward solid, fundamental play; so even relatively low tier characters can still be viable. It's only the extreme ends where you really see the downhill/uphill battles come into play.
