  1. I'm willing to fight anytime. I just have been using Tager lately to get rid of all the bad habits using Nu has created. I'll try to use Nu against you next time.

  2. About your question if every character can throw Nu from Act Parser. The answer is yes but most characters have better and safer options. Since Nu can be hit low during act parser, they can just throw out a 2B and do a combo from it. I just threw with Tager because I can't 360 or 720 on reaction yet.

  3. ' I meant one of those one-shot kills everyone has been talking about for the last few pages. I didn't know that you couldn't kill from CAs, though. Thanks.
  4. I am sort of confused now. From a gold burst, can Arakune outright kill you or does it just put him into awesome mode?
  5. I think Dacidbro was trying to point out that Arakune's same moves do massively more damage than the other moves characters use. And Dacidbro said that Arakune wasn't overpowered in his first statement. I actually could care less since I main Lambda and she has a good match-up vs Arakune but if your changes were to happen Dacidbro, would it actually make the Arakune vs Lambda match-up more even? How one-sided that match-up is irks me for some reason.
  6. Tempest, join us for the tournament Saturday. Prove your worth as a Rachel main by beating us all.

  7. wow. the exact reasons I was thinking about. Carl definitely felt like the least mobile character(not counting Tager) and Carl's "hop" is incredibly unsafe meaning he would have to air dash at the opponent. since Carl lacks good jump-in moves, he is screwed without Nirvana helping him. having to rely on Nirvana to get near the opponent means he really needs to pack on the damage once he touches them. I'm not sure about how good Hakumen's damage is but it is a shame what they did to Tager. He should be easily breaking 5K since he is the supposed to be the powerhouse grappler. And it is KnightofNosni. How did you guess?

  8. Nice post in the match-up thread. You made a lot of sense. But I am sure people will still complain and those people will ignore your post so it was all for naught. But I liked it and couldn't believe we actually both believed Carl should be in the top 3 for damage. My friends laughed at me about that. Good to see there are people who agree with my belief. And on a side note, I jokingly complain about Carl now because my best friend plays Carl and he has been counting down the days till he has the advantage in our match-up and it is starting to get annoying.

  9. You can TK GH whenever you are able to jump including, but not limited to, after a jump cancellable move. And the answer to your second question is yes.
  10. No one is easier to learn than Nu.
  11. At the start of the match...? Nu can only Act Parser(the teleport) from her 2C, 6C, and normal drive moves. Were you talking about her backdash, bustedwolf?
  12. Isn't 5C slower than 5B? If 5B doesn't work, how would 5C? If you do 5B too fast, it would may fail because Nu has a 16 frame window of invincibility from all non-low attacks. There are 7 frames when she is vulnerable to attacks before she can attack. On another note, falling jB to work also. But remember online makes it hard to react to her teleport, so you have to have god-like reactions or yomi skills to successfully handle it.
  13. Ragna's 5B and 2B should beat out anything Nu can do if she teleports next to you. Not much you can do about letting her escape except not letting Nu get out 2C. This was the biggest reason the teleport was taken out. I believe Hell's Fang and Carnage Scissors can punish the teleport, but that is just based on what i have seen people do. If it does work, it probably has strict timing.
  14. If you are playing Nu's online, almost all of them will be spamming 5DD->4DD->236D, so you need to learn how to instant block the second hit of 5DD and punish them while they are doing 4DD. Depending on your distance, you can also gain ground when they are using 236D. You can't summon anything (except for maybe lobelia, which sometimes trade), unless you get a knockdown. Like everyone else, you only get 2 or 3 chances at Nu so you have to make them count, although Rachel has it easier than other characters. The ideal solution for you to ask one of the good Nu on DL for some practice time. After fighting them, you shouldn't have a problem against us scrub Nu. Or you could use Nu for some time to learn her dead spots.
  15. Is this a trick question? Cause the answer is Carl. Maybe Rachel if they know that blockstring that breaks your guard.
  16. The sword situation you are talking about is because of online lag and how hard it is to instant block and react to the swords. Most Nu online never ever jump cancel their swords and exclusively use 5DD->4DD->236D, which Rachel has answers to after IB 5DD, i believe. I'm not going to argue about whether or not a character is broken. Those 3 are considered by the BB community to be broken and ArcSys believed so as well, hence the nerfs they got, although Rachel was over-nerfed. I am pretty sure Rachel is in control of the Arakune match. The teleporting then attacking isn't hard to deal with. If he dives after teleport, just throw him. I figured if he spent too much time in the air, you could just lobelia him, but I guess that was wrong. And I agree with the fact that Rachel can't deal with pressure, but because Rachel can control the pace of the match, she really shouldn't be dealing with pressure a lot. And i don't think the barrier-block until you are in sword range works with Nu (not counting nail-less Bang or Tager). If they bait the sword, Nu eats a good combo. If a Nu is barrier happy, you should learn to take advantage of that. Barrier blocking does after all have its weakpoints.
  17. But like I said, that is how Nu and Lambda are. They are the only zoning characters in BB so it makes sense that you have to change your play style to fight them, right? Neither Nu nor Lambda has to ever move towards you because they can get damage from almost anywhere. I'm not trying to be confrontational but you have to be really patient in this match-up, because it is so different from Rachel's other match-ups because she isn't in control. Then again, I haven't zoned with Nu for a long time so my experience is based on close range fights against Rachel, where I have noticed a lack of patience when dealing with a mobile character like Nu, leading to the Rachel's lost. Nu is cheap and broken (although Rachel and Arakune aren't far behind) but you hopefully don't think that about Lambda, who is almost perfectly balanced.
  18. I'm not trying to say Nu isn't broken, but you have to understand that is Nu's playstyle. She is the best zoner in the game and it is supposed to be hard for you to get in. You sort of have to capitalize on the few times you are near her. And since you play probably play online a lot, it is going to be extremely hard to get next to her(lag gives too many Nu free wins), so you sort of have to wait it out unfortunately, which isn't something a lot of Rachels are good at. But this match-up is almost even, right? I know it is in Nu's favor but not by that much, is it? It seems easier for Rachel to get in than most characters and Nu is screwed once she is in Rachel's pressure.
  19. That isn't a tight blockstring. If you aren't magnetized, you should be able to backdash the 5D. If you are, IB 5D and knock him out of his sledge B. If he is using sledge A, just barrier block it until he is out of range. But this stuff is already in the thread, which you should have read... Heroic knows more about the blockstrings:
  20. When you put it that way, I can't go back to XBL without playing you again. I probably can't play you before friday night, but I'll be on this weekend and try to catch you for some epic matches.

  21. Do you know what he is doing that kills you? If you do, I am pretty sure the answer is somewhere in this thread already. It isn't like you can't easily escape most of what he can do.
  22. I agree. You confirmed my theory that Tager can sledge between 2C->2147D. It was both awesome and sad to see.

  23. Really? I don't feel like Nu is at the disadvantage against Ragna up close (unless she is in the corner). Two good combos from Nu up close and Ragna is dead. And Nu's 3C seems to beat out Ragna's 5B a lot in my experience and leads to stupid damage using 50 meter, which Nu almost always has.
  24. I sort of wish there was some way to make the Lambda-Arakune match-up slightly better for Arakune but considering Arakune's playstyle, I don't think that is possible. It would be nice if Lambda could have even match-ups against everyone.
