I actually would have recommended the ChimpSMD, which is what I used for my stick as well as sydog's. That one looks like it would take far less work to the point where just about anyone could easily add that in, but it looks like you lose your back button (I only skimmed the installation guide). It's your call as to which one you want to get, Skye, and I'll be willing to help if necessary with the TE Kitty or just do the whole thing with the ChimpSMD.

That can still be debatable. 2 may have had improvements in the areas you listed, but I really liked the maps in 1. Not to say that the maps in 2 were bad (I liked both, in fact), but the argument can still be made.
