While the 1-2 frames of lag wouldnt matter for most ps2 games i'd want to play(mostly non-fightan), and Horis have a lot of compatibility where TEs don't, I think I'll just get slim. More space that way, anyway. Should I just get a 160gb or will the 120gbs start being like $250 or less soon? Will I use that much space because of the "you have to install every game"(am i mistaken about this?) thing or what?

Looks like i'll have enough money to get a ps3 and still be set for spring. Woo! Any comments on which model/gb/where to buy? If not, ill just got a 120gb on amazon, i suppose. It seems there's a new 160gb out too, though..both 120gb and 160gb are $300..will the former get a price drop? Where would be the best place to buy it? Also, was sort of considering getting an older ps3...awfully big, but due to the power brick being separate, it wouldnt have as much of a heat issue as the slims, and the compatibility would be nice..any ideas where the best place to try and get that would be? Any disadvantages besides size? While I have no worries about the quality of used games usually, buying a used console seems iffy.. Also, I'll actually be able to host saturday despite thanksgiving. japanese sales are nice, but that does not help the U.S. scene much, which is what I am concerned with. i'm also more concerned with fans of the game, not the sort of "fans" who can talk about mu's ass or platinum's flat chest all day. i can actually play competitively with the former, though the latter do help the hype. i am glad the gallery stuff is in. i guess that doesn't bother me since it's completely separate from the game proper and blazblue also had some rather sexual art. some sexual art just "being out there" is much more acceptable than something which makes it seem like an eroge. speaking of galleries, does anyone know why the kof2002um xbox port doesn't have gallery mode/color edit? respond in the kof2002um thread if you know, i suppose.

i like this game because it's an incredible fighting game, i don't know about you i do not care at all for the hentai overtones and adding even more makes it harder to get people to play the game. i don't give a shit if the animation looks great, i don't play fighting games to watch hentai. i don't have any problems with hentai or people who watch it or like lolis or anything like that, but taking the "loli porn" vibe of the game to a whole new level hurts the community, period. it adds people who want to look at tits while playing video games, who I don't give a shit about, because they're not likely to go anywhere skill-wise. it makes it harder to get fighting game people to look at the actual game. they don't have to be bigoted to be turned off by it, they just have to accept the signal the animation tells them which is "this is a porn game" look how much shit melty gets just because it has like 3 lolis in it and most of the cast is female. the main trolls who say that shit are hopeless, yeah, but it also just hurts the game's reputation when the trolls already had enough material to end up spreading name recognition. this is great ammo for "This game is a bigger joke than Brawl. Go back to what you were playing before." so yes, there is "something wrong" with this "extra fanservice." this is not serving me, or most people who care about the game, at all. this is about as helpful as sticking up printed out porn from dan/gelbooru on the side of your tv.
