hey ronin got an idea with makoto now, this isn't really necessary since you already have comboing into shoryu or 5d giving you pretty good oki(and 5d pushing to corner) but dishing out more ways to mixup the enemy keeps the opponent guessing and paralyzed in the face of rushdown, soooo her rekka is pretty decent for resets/continuing into more pressure suddenly. example: 5b 5cc 6b 5c 214a-c-a this goes into overhead instead of dempsey roll finisher. 5 frame jabs cannot hit you out of this, it seems. so this is one thing that can get them scared of simply mashing if they don't see a 5d or shoryu. (214a-d may do the same but that thing is unsafe as hell iirc) (Also, note that 214a-c-b, the low followup to dempsey roll starter, is unsafe on block, but will combo in this instance) so, then we have the same, except 214a-a then 2a or 5a if they dont jab soon enough(not a big window at all, basically have to be mashing 5a. if they try to react to it they will probably fail, and you have other ways to punish raw mashers.) then this can CH them, or at the least you now get more pressure there's also 214a-b, the ground crossup, but that seems way too slow to me. however, iirc it's getting buffed in cs2. it certainly should be! "but mightfo," "can't they just jab if they don't see the roll rekka come out?" nah. 214b, then j.2c. j.2c fucking owns so hard. someone doing some sort of mash flowchart will get shat on. this should scare them into having to do risky things(dps) or simply eating your pressure. also, iirc, 214c will go over ragna's dp and give you time to punish it. :3 but yeah. pretty legit way to add to your rushdown and paralyze the enemy it seems.

I suppose this is where i'd note this.. For litchi, staff: 5b and 5c's on jump appear to be switched. 5b is jump cancellable, 5c is only jump cancellable only on hit. For staffless: 2b, 2c, 3c cannot go into 5d, only 2d. -
I know at least a few of you have that castlevania online co-op game on 360. Julius and Yoko came out last week on that,just FYI. 240MSP each. I'll post details if you want. IMO they're well priced. also the fact that they're out means 360 valk soooon also ah3 should have come out now instead of january ;_; If Noel and Tsubaki end up good enough and are still interesting, I will probably play them at least a bit since I wanted to in CS but they were too weak and I was focused on Bang for a long time anyway. in such a situation, you and i could trade some noel info~ in b4 i get called a tier whore if they end up top tier I doubt i'd enjoy tsubaki more than litchi though, unless they made her D moves fucking awesome. Like, level 3 gunblaze awesome.

So, I'm pretty hype for playing BB(and fighters in general tbh, due to ah3/umineko/juri) so I will be hosting(or at least attending if others want to host) twice a week for most weeks after this next one if needed. This means, the next meetups are, assuming nobody else can host: Edit: Note, times will usually be 2:30-8:30 fridays, possibly 9 saturdays, aside from december 4th which will be 3-8 probably. Saturday, December 4th Friday, December 10th Saturday, December 11th Friday, December 17th Saturday, December 18th I'll be in fort worth December 24th-30th, so I'll be at ronin's or whatever else for stuff around then. Then, hosting Friday, December 30th Saturday, January 1st Friday, January 7th Saturday, January 8th(probably, anyway) thennn spring semester starts right when ah3 is coming out which is inconvenient ADDITIONALLY, STARTING DECEMBER 6th, IF YOU WANT TO COME DOWN FOR A FEW HOURS(going on between 1:30 and 8:30 pm) AND DO SOME 1v1 AT MY PLACE ON A WEEKDAY, Or hell, if you know multiple people willing to come on a weekday, I'm up for some weekday meetups, just preferably tell me in a few days in advance. Only exception to this is sundays and december 13th-15th.(main study+finals days) yo, i'm easily the most hype player in dfw, get at me also: will probably make a nice vid post soon(day or two) with ah3+daemon bride+bb footage and, important correction: i love her jap voice, not her english voice. her english voice is just gross, rofl yet another edit: i found playing a different fighter after 4 hours straight of bb refreshing, even if it wasn't one of my favorite fighters. i look forward a lot to ah3. half bb, half ah3 meetups will own so hard also, if umineko fighter ends up good, ill use my laptop as a setup, though ill need some smaller chairs to use space efficiently, hahaha. when i do that, ill also set up vampire savior 1/2, vanguard princess, and possibly legally emulated melty. if you really want, i guess i could set these up earlier, but im much more hype for umineko than those other fighters, though VS fucking owns and melty has shit like this. vp is quite fun too.

while i haven't used many of these things enough/at all because i am still getting used to ssf4 being different: -fuzzy guard instant overhead setups -fantastic normals -j.hp -special cancellable c.mk(even if the window is ass like a lot of special cancel windows or fadc cancel windows) -storing and releasing fireballs, great for pressure and ambiguous zoning -FSE. i wish everyone in sf had great supers like oro's and fse. -j.mp -has good jumpins(like j.mp) and crossups(like j.hp, j...mk?) though i dont know how common solid crossups are in ssf4. -air to air j.mp juggles into good shit -214punch series counter teleport(Kochi kochi~ :3 ) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FNQreVzXko#t=5m55s -dive kick is p cool, especially since it just feels nice when bundled with her other specials. i wish it was + frames on TK though :/ and overhead. tsubaki has the same issue... -crossunder dash, crossovering knocked down people with overhead. a wee gimmicky, but hey. -pinwheel will fuck some people who attack immediately after i do a somewhat - frame move or whatever, though its hitbox is sort of wonky and doesnt eat crossups like it should -i fucking love her voice. her attacks/many of her taunts own too. i would shit and melt if we had a new cvs and i could have juri and may lee on a team. also, lmao no, i'm not a foot person. -like many characters, dash cancelling forward a level 2 focus attack gives you +3 frame advantage. focus attacks are a huge part of why i do enjoy ssf4 decently. doing partial focus attacks to beat attempts to interrupt them or jump away from them, and forward dash cancelling anyway and benefitting from +frames, or just landing a goddamn unblockable, or focus attack->backdash to potentially bait and punish shoryus. -the following vids made me want to play her. seriously, these are why i bought ssf4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPOJyy5i32Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ypq18EcG3_I gouken is pretty sweet too, though what the fuckkk @ rekka divekick not hitting overhead though. i'd eventually learn him if i play ssf4 occasionally long enough. not as exciting to me as bang/litchi, but if she gets in another game, i'll be very excited, and she is basically the reason why i care about ssf4 and am willing to play it at meetups a bit.

ahhh blazblue feels so good after ssf4 there's things i like about ssf4 but i just have to have my blazblue also, arcana in less than 2 months. get fucking hype. I think ill make a video post in a few days, with daemon bride, arcana, blazblue, and I think something else I forget...

i hate listening through podcasts, i wish they were all transcribed so I could go through them faster. MORE UMINEKO DETAILS - Some moves can be dash-canceled, but it costs you your Touch gauge. - The taunt restores some of your HP. - Beato's Infinity SP ability allows you to cast ONE SP super for free. - Same goes for Lucifer's Attack Touch: no more than one free Attack Touch per ability activation. - Shannon's Auto Guard allows for guard dashes. - Virgilia's Brimful recovers SP for both of your characters. General stuff -Game uses 3 attack buttons, one Touch button, and an Appeal button (seems to be a taunt). -Doing an Appeal slightly recovers HP. -There are 3 lifebars and no second round, so if you get KO'd that's it. -Press all attack buttons to activate the metaworld. -You can dash cancel, tech throws, and tech your falls. Touch -Switches characters and reduces your Break Gauge and stun. -There are 5 kinds of Touching. -Normal Touch: The active character taunts and switches with his/her partner. Activates the ability of the character that tagged out and costs no SP. -Attack Touch: Touch during an attack, and your partner comes in with an attack to continue attacking. No SP needed. -Guard Touch: Touch while guarding to switch characters while blocking. Uses 1 SP. -Damage Touch: Touch while getting hit to break the combo, send the opponent flying back to the other side of the screen and switch characters. Meta World (if any of the names sound weird blame Google) -As said before, it's activated by pressing all attack buttons. -Activates both of your characters' abilities and allows you to use your meta special for no cost while it's active. -Meta Declaration: Uses 1 SP and requires the Meta Gauge to glow red. -Meta Return: Used after a declaration, uses 2 SP and depletes the opponents Meta Gauge. -Meta Redeploy: Used after a return to activate the meta world again, uses 2 SP and reduces your Meta Gauge by 25% of what it originally was. -Meta Surrebutal: Used after a redeploy, uses 3 SP to deplete the Meta Gauge again. -Meta Forcing: Used after a surrebutal, uses 2 SP to activate the meta world again and reduces your Meta Gauge by 50% of what it originally was. also, for some reason, when I was messing around with a friend on garou a ton back in spring, I could IB and hitconfirm a lot better than I can in Blazblue. any ideas why? am i just a turkey? the IB window is the same(though more rewarding in Garou..) and there's less hitfreeze im sure. also, i edited my last post with a little question about cvs2.

btw jet i don't mean to put you on blast or anything, dont take my psyduck etc the wrong way, i just disagree i like to call it the "castrated by a crazy bitch bar" i still disagree on parries but i don't care that much, i don't believe it's that big of a deal anyway, and you guys have played/seen the game much more than me, so whatever~ if garou didn't have guard cancelling out of JD, it'd be a good game with an overpowered instant block. instead, it's a potentially good game that just ends up fucking retarded because everything is potentially unsafe on 8-frame-window IB, especially if they have meter to GC super. farrr worse than ultras. it's a shame, too: the game owns otherwise. great cast, etc. i guess i'll get to try out mai+maki+morrigan if you bring cvs2..hm..i think i'd use S or N grooves. if i played a lot and got used to parrying, possibly P groove, too. ...i've never seen someone use P groove in CVS2 match videos though. is it too weak or somethig?

Are johnny and zreb the only people coming? Looks like I'll whip out Banjo 360. ..unless there was no attack, in which case you threw out a random guess at virtually no cost if you haku or gouken or whatever parry and nothing comes, they see that you were fishing for nothing and they fuck you. pressing forward does not do the same thing. yeah, the option selects in it don't seem that big of a deal anyway, despite my reservations about recoveryless parries, sf3 is fun and that probably really doesn't matter in mid-level play anyway. it's not garou, lollll

part of whether it's "worth learning" depends on who else plays it in the area and if you're not satisfied with other games you could work on for some reason my take: sf3 is pretty sweet. it definitely has some flaws, though. tier lists are pretty serious in it. I'm sort of iffy about parries as a concept because it potentially turns something that is normally safe or + frames on block into assrape on existence, but obviously that requires timing and knowing something is coming. Plus, red parries are badass. I just wish parrying required an input and had a whiff animation. Parrying really shits on certain characters, like Remy. Regardless of the flaws and potential flaws, IMO it's the most hype SF. I mean, shit yes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4wAaQug4HQ&feature=related I fucking love the meter system in that game. Choosing different supers gives you different maximum amounts of meter. Plus, the variety of supers is just sort of awesome. I really wish SSF4 had 3s's meter system...like if they took ultras, made them supers, made the original supers as cool, and had you choose between the three. That+upped heat gain+variable meters like SF3 would be pretty great. Though, SF4 ultras are still largely pretty boring compared to a lot in SF3. Example: All of Oro's supers, which are fucking fantastic. it also has highjump, unlike other sfs. tl;dr 3s is flawed but still pretty sweet and more hype than other SFs also!! taunts in that game give you buffs, like more damage on your next combo, or more defense, or stun recovery. i love that. only other fighter which does some sort of taunt buff that I can think of is the Umineko one which is coming out. taunts regen some HP in that. also IMO SF3's characters > all other sf games' characters but if you want an old capcom fighter, play vampire savior :3

I hear the visual novel > the anime, and is recommended to be watched before the animo. also holy shit i am never playing ssf4 ranked online again. i do a juri vs makoto match. that was nice. i respect that makoto. we both knew how to block, he was pretty sweet, nice match. then i fought 3 kens in a row. one of them mashed dp constantly. then i fought an akuma. i trashed him. i had 60% health, he was almost dead. then he lands random raging demon, i die. next round, same hp situation. i suspect he wants ultra again. i jump around some. i divekick during the superflash. the superflash eats my input, i don't divekick, i lose. i'm not gonna lie, i ragequit that. FAIR DMG, GOOD MECHANIC TOO never playing ranked matches online on SF again. putting up with boring ragnas is nowhere near as bad as that. the netcode seemed a lot better than PC vanilla SF4, tho. and juri is still wonderful.

you must have missed the fact that the guy was trying to show off the butler's evade and kept stopping right under it instead of running forward it looks really easy if you blocked it once and then keep running. Dashes do seem too slow, though.
