  1. Hey guys, it's been quite some time since I've last posted on DL at all. The only users that I can remember are Arvoyea, Spirit Juice, Coopa, and Tone. Just dropping by to say hello. Hopefully if I ever come back to Sac any time soon, I'll post here. I'm down to play anything. ~Saka
  2. Anything going down I Sac some time next week or the next? I'll be flying home from Italy for a little R&R before I go fly to Korea. I'll be home from the 6th to the 23rd of Sept. If there's anything going on within those weeks, please let me know, so I can come down there and have some nostalgic time with you guys. ~Saka
  3. Got an order confirmation from Amazon today, stating that this game won't get released until early January of 2013. :\
  4. For those who enjoy MoBAs, especially League of Legends :
  5. For better image reference for what d3v is trying to tell you : On the far right quick-disconnect (QD) you remove the sleeve by pulling back on it. Then just place the screwdriver between the QD itself and the button itself. It should come off easily, so don't force it too much, or else you might damage the button's prongs.
  6. First off, try and see if it is the button that's crapping out or if it's the board itself. Switch the wires for one of the working buttons and try it on the one that isn't. If the button is still acting the same, then it's the button for sure, and if it IS, then it's your board. As of right now, I'm assuming it's the button itself. Easiest way to fix that button, replace it. Since it's an HRAP EX, the button that you would need is a Sanwa OBSF-30. You can find and purchase them on focusattack.com for $2.75 USD each. Very cheap and if you feel like replacing all of them for a button color that you prefer, now is the best time to do it. As for replacing it, you just remove the buttons from the quick-disconnect and replace it. If it's your board, then the best thing for you is to is to find someone in your area that can help you try to fix it, either by fixing the old board, or by replacing it. Hope this helps, ~Saka
  7. There is no correct hand position on when you play on stick. You just have to find something that feels the most comfortable with you and then try to practice any and all of the motions for moves with your comfortable hand placement. It takes time from someone that just started playing on stick. It varies from person to person too. I took me a week to get comfortable with stick since I played plenty of arcade games back then, while my friends, who were still new to playing stick, took them a month or two. Again, getting comfortable with a stick takes time and practice.
  8. Shoutouts to my iM@S stick being on GameSpot!
  9. I miss you Phantomnaut? Why didn't we hang out brah?!? D: Oh, and shoutouts to GameCenter for letting me borrow your TE even though it was a burden to lend out. Thanks again!

  12. What are we going to do for those people that don't have a partner?
  13. Alright, I've always been a fan of GG even though I am not good at playing it, but I am very willing to learn and adapt from playing BB to GG. I've been a Tsubaki player since CS and I've used to play Noel in CT. I've been trying out Milla and Bridget in GG, but I feel like there are more characters in GG that play more like the characters that I play in BB. Suggestions? Anything to also help me more learn GG more besides the videos that were recently shown to GG beginners, like basic BnB combos for said characters? Anything will help, thanks. ~Saka
  14. For a friend of mine :
  15. Only concern, the movement for guard. I think for most people who are new to this game, guard will be the same like any other FG, holding back and away from the opponent, but in this game, IIRC, you have to hit down and up quickly to guard.
  16. Best bet : Get plexi-glass for your HRAP VLXs, download the .psd template for the VLX and start start creating artwork with said .psd template, get them printed out and put them under the plexi-glass, and voila! An easy, simple mod for your visual stimulating needs for your VLXs! If you don't want to go the plexi route, you can always print out the art on lami-label at your local FedEx Kinko's or printing store of your choice. 19. Hey guys, it's been a while. How's everything back in Cali? Still crappy like usual? I miss you guys. I really do. Almost have enough money saved to come back to the States for EVO. I hope to see some of you guys there.

  24. Ah Hitboxes~ For me personally, I like the feel of a stick in my hands rather than using buttons, but that's because I grew up playing a lot of arcade games. But, in the world of today, people who are not used to stick, or like the fact that you can use buttons instead of a stick for ease of use is the norm in today's world. Which is fine in it's own right. But, at the same time, it feels like the hitboxes kinda over-shadow the years upon years players of the arcade community has been playing on stick and making them obsolete in my opinion. I don't have anything really good to say about hitboxes, since they are all biased off of my opinion, so I'd rather not say anything about them, but I'd at least suggest playing with sticks for a while, and if you don't like it, it's fine to go the hitbox route. But be forewarned, there are people that look down upon people who choose the "easy way out" via hitboxes.
