AKI OCV - Just do it Dizzy's on the rise guys
-
Begins behind her/At the bottom on 10th frame, in front of her on the 13th
-
Yea, I thought the one I posted was retarded too, but that's what it says in the mook. Shinquickman's seems way more accurate

Dizzy is coming along fine. I had to ask a friend of mine about some kanji I was unsure of - I'll probably have it done later tonight. The bad news is that I first started it as an Excel document (mimicing the layout of the mook) so exporting it to HTML creates a veritable clusterfuck of broken tags and bad syntax. I COULD convert it to the layout provided by Gwyrgyn, but that's such a hazzle right now. Whoever does want to convert it, should I give you an HTML or XLS file? Edit: It's also fun to just flip through the book to look at weird data - it's retarded how many chars got invulnerability on the entire length of their backstep now: Sol, Ky, May, Millia, Eddie, Potemkin, Chipp, Johnny, Faust, Baiken, Axl, Anji, Jam Edit 2: The entire table, it might come in handy Char Length Inv Sol 16 16 Ky 16 16 May 13 13 Millia 11 11 Eddie 16 16 Pot 21 21 Chipp 21 21 Faust 13 13 Baiken 16 16 Anji 13 13 Johnny 11 11 Axl 16 16 Jam 16 16 Venom 13 7 Testa 16 9 Dizzy 16 9 Slayer 28 19 I-No 16 11 Zappa 11 10 Bridget 15 8 Robo-Ky 14 10 Order-Sol 16 8 ABA 17 8 ABA(Mo) 16 8 ABA(Super) 20 8

I'm pretty much done translating the Dizzy frame data for normal moves, but I began working on it before I saw the notation you use on you tables, so I'm a little confused over the "G" in the "Cancellable" column, I think it means "gatling", but as far as I'm aware there's only Self (i.e. jabbable), Special, Jump, Roman and False Roman. Also, I found under dizzys f.S it says "hitstop 6" ( ヒットストップ6) anyone care to fill me in on what that means? edit: It also says "hitstop 5" on her sickle moves

Oh god, I got the book a few days ago but I'm in France at the moment so I haven't been able to look at it except for the somewhat lousy scans that are already out. (It's at Caers house right now) If I have time after I get back (Monday) and Akira hasn't translated everything, I'll relay you guys with all the information I can get and answer any questions you have.

Victoly! This rapetrain haven't brakes!

countdown till first good dizzy player wins a match! ..this could take a while
-
The recent tourney vids posted are far from top players. Basically, in the only vids I have seen where Dizzy wins, the players are scrubs or mediocre. At high-level play she hasn't won once yet.

Testament has an FRC on his Dust? More like 60% but yeah, that was scary shit.

Okay, I'm gonna yield on the fact that it's a safe way to get fish out since, yes, many characters will find a way to punish you if you do the same bullshit over and over. Especially fish However, I'm still going to claim that it's a good poke, because the range hasn't been decreased all that much (It still extends the full length of the arm), and it gives you tons of options to followup with. Hit and you get a free combo (granted a very weak one due to all the proration on ice spikes, but still) or cancel directly into potentially wonderful okizeme options (need more vids to analyze this). Block and you still have many ways to keep you safe without becoming predictable. And if you're not predictable, the opponent will wait to see what you do before trying to punish you for it. You also don't have to waste tension for keeping safe.

What? Are we talking about the same move here? For poking purposes, 2D has way more reach than 2K, so it's useful everywhere past 2K's range (note that I'm talking about 2D as a poke not some gatling/combo starter). I'm not going to be "right next to them" by a long shot. 2D still reaches as far as the hand, as opposed to the shockwave in #R/Slash - that's still very far. As for the fish disappearing if hit on recovery: not true. The fish only disappears if you are hitting Dizzy while she is in the summoning stance, not if she's recovering from it. So what if they IB? 2D is level 5 move, that means that they still take 14f to recover, since they're crouching. Enough time to summon anyways And slashback? That's not a very good idea that far away, since even if you manage to do the SB, you still can't block (only SB) for 15f (though you can move after only two), and trying to close distance from that far away without being able to block for 13f is not a good idea, at all.

Finally managed to get all the Popeye matches. they are all mirrored at http://nehle.net/ac

Okay, this is absolutely HUGE news for Dizzy, we are back to the once again insane safety of the 2D poke of #Reload. Since 2D is so easily hit confirmable, it's easy to just cancel to a fish on block, or ice spike on hit. Seriously, 2D seems even better than the #R version, I'm willing to trade shorter reach and no FRC for this.
-
Am I the only one getting "Service Temporarily Unavailable" on Popeye? if so, can anybody mirror the files somewhere?

Just finished watching the Dizzy combos from the latest Tougeki Damashii DVD. The hitbox of dizzy FB bubble is fricking HUGE! This changes quite a lot in my dizzy zoning plans and pressuring plans
-
I just finished ripping the Accent Core combovid from the latest Tougeki Damashii. http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3591747 So, yea, enjoy. It's 104MB XviD, AC3 sound and runs for about 10 minutes (3 or 4 combos per char) edit: please seed

I don't know, looking at those rating; even though she is technically one or two letters higher than in Slash, most seem to agree that she is in or around the very middle of the tier list, which is where she was in slash too. So, yea, taking into the account of what she's gained and lost, she's about there in the middle somewhere. I presonally think fish are neither better nor worse, but they are just different. We can freestyle more with them, but we've also lost some seriously wonderful fish setups. Likewise she has also gained nbetter gatlings and, what it looks like, stronger combos (from J2S) but at the same time she lost health. I think she's still about the same tier as in slash
-
Yes, I'm just saying that with a little planning you shouldn't haver to run away in the middle of your own pressure What? You can't JC a whiffed move. In fact you can't cancel it in any way except FRC, which 2D doesn't have any more.
-
I think it's more likely that the 2D JC will be used like holding a pike, blockstring, end with 2D, release pike, JC Bubble, reset pressure
-
Okay, so, looking at the changes, you can sort of put together a picture of how they want Dizzy to play. No more long distance gatlings. I.e. no combos from random long pokes knockdown to immediate corner pressure Unpredictable fish Better bubbles The image I'm getting from this is that they want to foxus even more on Dizzys nasty fish/bubble mixup pressure, while allowing her to zone and run away a little more safely. I think what we're going to see is a lot of Dizzys jumping the fuck away, keeping opponents away with J2S and zoning the with FB bub until she can get a random knockdown to begin rape mixups. She will have to be a lot more careful and avoid risky shit because of less health. Does anyone know if fish will disappear if she tries a throw but the opponent throwbreaks?
-
Oh shit, Dizzy's new FB bubble is fast like whoa
-
I'm guessing not, but does VGONetwork ship to Europe? Because if so, then that is by far the best price I have seen on the HRAP2 yet
