  1. ya that make sense, i realize now that the 2H he does after landing is another burst bait
  2. well i forgot about the FD i guess, but if the opponent knows this is coming and delays the burst, won't that still hit robo? iora, don't have exact link, but look for DF2 finals on youtube, he does it against a pot player
  3. on some dogura videos, I see him do impossible dust with a j.H, land, 2H. WhY?? It's not really a burst baiter cuz the j.H leaves u open just like j.D does. and the damage sucks too. Also, I figured out that if u tk the FB and not hold any direction, and you can stick out a j.H and if it connects, u can do 5p, 2s or 2k,2s.
  4. hey as long as u are mentioning fb, I have trouble using it as instant overhead. After 2369D, I immediately hold 2 and hit S, but the S doesn't fully finish. I figure if I delay the pressing of 2 it's not that effective as a overhead. Is there some sort of middle point?

  6. how do u practice instant blocking? one of reason why i am picking robo is to force myself to learn that, but then it seems like u have to know exactly what the opponent is doing. i know u can ib multi-hit moves, but usually when i start thinking about ib'ing, i get hit more than not
  7. if you time it well enough, can't u use 3 5h frc's? Or is that just impractical?
  8. thanks for the lengthy reply, dontuel. lol KY = bad, but he is my main even though some are telling me my robo's getting better than my ky. Anyway, you are right about det mode. That was a pretty bad oversight on my part, i'm on autopilot too much of the time. ANd what do u mean BBU? i don't know the names of most of slayer's moves. And about using robo dash after bazooka, what if I do it too late? Won't I get thrown? btw, that first match was for loser take 4th, so that slayer player is pretty decent my 2nd match, i don't think the guy plays regularly, and ya after lv3 horsie, i should done something like 5hs frc, run 5s, jk js , etc. I like 6p too much...I mean after I have i land 5h frc twice that what i always go far, anything i fear it will be too late or not enuf distance.

  11. i'm just learning about option select...so i'm wondering about this situation. I get knocked down, and do wakeup TK'ed RTL, and opponent blocks it. If I hold back and press P and H at the same time, will I be able to break the opponents throw attempt? If the opponent tries some other crap, will I be able to stuff it with the P?

  13. well sure, i can i do some attack string ending w/ 2D. From there that I can cancel to stun edge, or jump cancel then do air stun edge. Either way, you're getting smacked In that case, it's better to just continue blocking, wait for ky's next move. Or if the ky is being predictable w/ those stun edges, you can try to 2k after blocking ky's 2d
  14. being both of robo and ky player, you would eat stun edge if you try to 5h frc his 2D. and since his 2D is JC'able, it leaves u either in a bad spot, or wastes your tension.
  15. is it a good idea to stun dipper FRC under a jump in attack? Whether it's a normal jump in or from a air dash?
  16. what are ky's tech baiting throw setups? I can only think of -after GS -in the corner close 5S OTG hit. I'm thinking he can also try stuff doing an air combos, but i think that's highly situational?
  17. er...sorry dash BRAKE. i.e. use FD to stop dashing recovery
  18. i notice in vids that robo hardly ever does dash break. Is that because tension is better used elsewhere? Or because robo has a slow dash?
  19. Thanks for the suggestions. Ya i rely on that 5k too much...I guess i get braindead and forgot about the 5p. After that those 3 6p's and the lv3 steam, i thought I could have frc'ed the steam and go for command grab. uppercut and 2H frc are the hardest to learn for me, so I should probably want till i have 50% tension before I uppercut. Oh ya i forget about horsie crossup--i think that is just as hard as those 2 frc's, how do i practice that? I actually do have 2 more robo vids of me, but I didn't do too well in those.   21. does your tv or vcr have a a/v out? If so, buy a usb capture card for your computer, and record it that way. anyone have an answer to my q's a couple posts back?
  22. lol ya i think the sol player is pretty good...his main however is order sol, and my main is ky @nehle, what do u mean by KD? And if I score one 6p, how can I do anything else other than -mat -IAD -FB

  24. but if the frame data is constant, why would distance make any difference?
