  1. ok maybe the timing is harder than i thought, but I am in training. I make robo the dummy and I control sol. i make robo do 2s, run up and do 5p. I am able to score VV w/ robo taking the hit OR if I make robo punch too early, I can throw him. So is 5p REALLY safe against Sol's VV?
  2. goddamn it stormlocke, you just had to infect the norcal thread with that cartoon sf video, didn't you Anyway, one thing I noticed you were doing at the scott's place was after you did det super, right before the end, you did a robo-dash that reversed direction. How did you gain tension from that? I thought you couldn't get tension for a long time after releasing the explosion? just get in the car horsie
  3. What do you mean by this part? Are you talking about meeting hos air-to-air w/ j.p and then double jumping away? Or are you talking about jumping at hos w/ j.p while he's still on the ground?
  4. thx stormlocke for the update damn so many typos in my post i realized after the post that chojin wrote extensively on the matter on this thread, so my bad again thx for the help. far 5s is good, but distancing is important and i think it will still clash/trade w/ hos' 2s
  5. can anyone five any general advice for order sol? I play against a pretty good one, and w/o any tension on my part, i find it hard to do any offense. A lot of hos' normals beat out robo's 5p. If i back off and try to lay mats, hos does his super fast charge. And since he has such a low jump, i find my antiair options limited under than uppercut.
  6. i have a lot of trouble doing the heat 2p loop on a crouched opponent. I'm reminded of cvs2 n groove where a shoto just runs up to a person and taps crunching punch. How can i make the most out of my practice with this? It seems really hard, tapping forward, then taping 2p, then tapping forward twice again...i can't do it w/o getting an errant 6p. btw, does anyone say bang bang bang when doing 6p 3x?
  7. is ro vs po just a bad matchup in general? pot has more range than ro, and unless i'm looking for ch 5h or far ch 5s, poking doesn't seem very safe. it seems hard to get in offense w/o tension.

  15. Shoto, Thanks for the explanation, now I have a new question. What is a "clean hit?" This is a new thing in slash right? It looks like a clean hit is required for sol's sidewinder loop, but where else is it useful?

  19. i'm thinking of buying a stick after using a pad for a while. I don't care about customizing one or making my own, so are there any good brands of ready made arcade sticks that don't use the ball-on-a-stick as the joystick? Thanks
