I said that, right now, with no idea what is happening with other characters, Bang looks quite good. But my experienced history with tiers tells me to wait until we know damn near anything about other characters.

As long as there's no one like CS1 Tao or Litchi, he is looking rather amazing, currently more so than most other's I have seen. But that could be temporary, til other combos are discovered.

Talking about tiers without a comparison to another character is like pointing a gun directly at your own critical thinking ability And of course, we don't know almost anything about any character. So again, tiers is pretty moot for discussion.

Bang's reguar grab was a 4 seal combo on anyone, and incredibly safe on whiff compared to his command grab. Nezu used regular grab more than command grab by a wide margin.

Wow. 2B 5D, huh. Wow. And 5C 6A? Wow. Huh. ... 6.3k off command grab in the corner, huh? wow. Yeah, he seems like he's doing alright for himself. This Bang guy. In CS2. So much for damage nerfs though, I thought everyone was losing damage..

Her very near the ground (j236B x5) ender, leaving you to tech into 6A range or not tech. Very awkward spot, clearly Tao's favor.

Tao is either Bang's only disadvantageous matchup or one of two (The other is maybe Litchi). Recognize it's difficult, but far from impossible. A lot of this matchup is weathering the storm, almost like you're suddenly Tager. You have no way to get out of her blockstrings, her damage is huge, and if she knows how to get fake oki you don't even get out for getting hit. It's very tough. Your 5A is next to useless in this match, and your 5B is situational. Don't be afraid to use TK dnails instead of a poke, you will often connect for a combo with knockdown, which is KEY. You get her on the floor, try not to ever let her up, using as many Dnail resets as it takes. Also, do not stagger. Any time you try to use (x blockstring > pause > 5A) Tao can just push 2A. But you can fake it with things like 5A 2A 2A 2B, giving him a gap to mash with a move that crushes low profile powerfully. GL
