I've been proficient with Bang since probably mid summer at the first "minor" NCI (Which dated me at one year playing BB and fighting games), but I've still got a long way to go in becoming good at the game.

Okay I'm going to reveal the secret of how you beat beginner mode Use strings that reset themselves in places they normally can't or have difficulty resetting themselves, IE, Ragna 5B 6D jD d2A 5B 6D jD d2A 5B ad infintum Unless the beginner mode player is skilled enough to IB DP 5B 6D or damn near anything else you want to use, they will just automatically lose. This is because constant barrier guard is TERRIBLE. Disclaimer; this example may be somewhat flawed. It is a basic example off the top of my head. A similar real scenario may be better than this one. All barrier sucks. BM is easy to beat.

No one who uses beginner mode will ever win a real tournament. People get exposed to real players and have a way to play. Profit.

Ragna is actually incapable of punishing an air tech unless it's neutral, and even then only with 6A, Blade. Kayeff, you can mash as hard as you want as long as you stop when you tech. Metaknight, that's just not true at all. At the original post, just mash harder. But do watch out for an opponent baiting your tech, like Bang air tech traps or Tager tech traps.
