Coming back for the real thing in the best arcade in the Midwest, its the first Buckeye Airdash Cup of 2013! INFO Location: Arcade Legacy 662 Cincinnati Mills Dr. Cincinnati, OH 45240 (Inside the Mall, look for the Parking Garage Entrance on the first floor. Just up the hall from the Danbarry Dollar Saver.) When: Saturday, January 12, 2013 Why: Cincinnati has seen a resurgence in anime play since the release of Persona 4 Arena, not to mention the re-release of Guilty Gear has brought new faces as well as some of Ohio's old vets back out to play. Now is the right time to bring the ideas Circuitous and I have had for anime in Cincy to be a reality. Not to mention we will be having a Vampire Savior tournament, in the home of VMP, Arcade Legacy! (Any VSav fan should not pass this up!) Games List Persona 4 Arena Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus BlazBlue CS Extend Aquapazza Arcana Heart 3 Vampire Savior Game Rules 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Matches for all games, 3/5 Matches for Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals. Stream: There will be a stream provided, either by someone in house or anyone whom would be interested in streaming it. I will update this post as soon as possible with information on hotels for people who may want to travel. Any questions please contact either myself or Circuitous on DL or Twitter.

MAC BLEEZY COMING HOOOOOOME!
-
Alright, this is a serious question. If making this a Saturday-Sunday 2 day event will seal the deal on more of you guys coming, then I will make it happen. A few days ago Circuitous and I had a discussion and added a few games and to be honest to me, the list is looking more like a 2-day list than a 1 day list of games, if that makes sense. So, let us know and I will talk to the Arcade and see what I need to do to make this happen.

Well, if the new GGAC is out by this event on consoles, or AL somehow magically gets it, you know we will run it at BADC. I'm also considering adding a kind of Mystery poverty tournament to this event also. If nothing else, just one game we'll run that will not be revealed till just before the event or day of, keep you on your toes.

Does the beginning of your August have a void that can only be filled by anime games? Then mark your calendars for the first Buckeye Airdash Cup! Buckeye Airdash Cup Vital Info Location: Arcade Legacy The Cincinnati Mall - 600 Cincinnati Mills Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45240 Date: August 4, 2012 Games List: (tentative) Skullgirls BBCSEX Guilty Gear AC Arcana Heart 3 Melty Blood AACC Hokuto no Ken (possibly on arcade) Vampire Savior (Arcade) (Tack onto this list P4A and Aquapazza if they are out in time for the event.) Stream: Will most likely be provided on the in-house Arcade Legacy set-up. Venue Fee: $10 This venue fee will also allow you to play all of the arcade games at Arcade Legacy for free all day long! I know that the month of August is already shaping up to be full of exciting events, but I'd encourage anyone who'd be interested in traveling to come out! I will be looking up hotels in the area of the venue and see who has the best prices for that weekend to try to help out anyone who is looking to travel from the farther reaches of the MidWest(and maybe beyond?) Anyone with further questions should try to contact me or my partner-in-crime Circuitous. Look for a thread update coming soon as more details are finalized, trying to make this the best event possible!

I will put them up as soon as I get the results from Osirun, so Thursday or Friday things will be up at the latest! Again I apologize for the delay!

As of right now we for sure have a locked in recording setup, we are still unsure of bandwidth for streams outside of Team Sp00ky's. But the recording setup in question would be our stream station if we get to have a stream. I'm pretty sure you can record matches as well if you like but lemme double check with Osirun. But seriously thanks for the offer man! I am happy someone was willing to step up if needed for the community should the need arise.

Playstation 3, my good man.
-
Yes that's correct, a spectator pass is fine as long as your playing only anime games. All other games for the EVO season and stuff must be prereg'd for online at powerupfighters.com and will require a venue pass. Sorry man I tried to get that reply on SRK but I was having problems logging in.

Update on a few things for everyone, all of our King of Anime games have been switched up a bit to better mesh with the rest of the schedule. The biggest change is, Guilty Gear and Melty Blood are on Saturday, BlazBlue and Arcana Heart 3 are on Sunday. If this change presents any major problems for anyone, please contact me ASAP so that I can address all concerns and lock in a schedule that gets the most people out. The second thing is I've added two special events. The first being a Project Justice tournament that'll be ran on Arcade Legacy's own cab. (Dreamcast setup with PS2 converters will be available for those who play pad or cannot cope with american parts.) The second is the running set of after hours casuals all weekend in the King Of Anime staff room at the Hampton Inn. Lots of matches will be recorded and hopefully live streamed from the hotel. On that last note, I am putting out a request for individuals with knowledge of our line up of games who would be willing to commentate on finals matches we record for all the games. If you feel you fit the bill, please contact me. More to come soon as April is just around the corner!

[VS] Gaming/Online Information/Console Differences/Dipswitches
Pope Temmy replied to Korey's topic in Vampire Savior
Thanks Kyle! Really interesting to know since I can't read Japanese and the menu doesn't tell you much when your setting dips. -
Noticed Dustloop gave us a sticky, folks that is how you know we are serious. Moy_X7: Some of the traditional homes of anime give them their own space. Take NEC for example. Cramped room, but it doesn't stifle the hype at all. Just because we are our own thing on the side, doesn't mean we won't have matches that are twice has hype as any of the big games! Even if you are the only BB player from IN, be the one that wins it for IN! I'd also like to remind everyone that depending on turnout and time, I wouldn't be opposed to running teams after singles if it is doable!

Mac has to come back!!! I missed him the last time he was in town because I had to work and I don't wanna miss him again! Great news about GG, Ephraim! @Matt Badlands: GG is hype, everyone has just forgotten.

Hello everyone, Pope Temmy here! So hype the post is up now! So let's get down to business! This year even though we are one the side we are doing it big, with tournaments on all three days of the tournament. Friday and Sunday we will be in venue @ Arcade Legacy for all the listed tournaments above, but if you look below I'll be updating this space with Special Events that will either be run in venue at the Arcade or in my hotel room at the hotel. We will be recording as much as possible and giving anime as much love as possible. SPECIAL EVENTS SECTION Friday ~ It's Not Anime!? Project Justice Tournament Will be held @ Arcade Legacy on their arcade cab (For those who don't do American parts, we will have optional Dreamcast setup with two PS2 converters and JP sticks. Rules TBA Friday - Saturday ~ After Hours Showcase Suite Drop on by the King Of Anime staff room at the Hampton Inn for casuals that are recorded/live streamed after hours all weekend! Hopefully extended into Sunday night if I get the time off work. Wiill feature at least 2 or 3 Setups, one each for all the KOA games with AH3 and BBCSEX on rotation on the PS3. We'll try to cram as many people as we can for as long as we can before we all crash out! I will be updating as soon as I have more details on special events and other things worked out. Clear out your calendars and come on out April 13. 14 and 15 2012! I promise you everyone involved in this will be working hard to make sure that everyone has the best possible time. Any questions PM me here or on Homing Cancel/SRK/Meltybread or get at me on twitter @PopeTemmy.

Man I gotta get in DL and read more about everything! @ Mathias: I don't think I'll catch you at BB3 like I thought, works getting in the way. Hope to get some games in when you get back to AL.
-
Whats up, all? Been in that training mode, leveling up. Haven't been able to make the BB/GG ranbats, though. I am going to be at TvU entering GGAC and BB, among other things. I've decided to go with Noel in BB, even knowing she is gimped pretty bad in CS so far... Should be at AL for next Thursday's game night, too.

Right then, some of you might be familiar with me from playing a few other games and just being around Arcade Legends, or maybe even Seasons or Naptown. Ah, anyhoo. Names Eric, or Pope Temmy, or Temmy, it doesn't matter. I recently picked up GGAC after playing it casually with Jason at school. I immediately picked up May and I have gone nutso for this game. I have more fun playing GGAC than I do playing most of the other games I try to play these days so I figured I'd go ahead and just start focusing more on it. I am trying my hardest to learn the game and that has brought me to Dustloop. Figured I'd make my first order of business to pop onto the Ohio thread and make my presence known. So... hey! Good to meet you all.
