So my opinion may not count for much, but at least in my experience, flicking Task A is vital to not letting Bedman just run a train on you. He wants to force you to avoid grounded methods of getting in and he uses task A for that.

Hi. I'm a Bedman main and one of my friends mains Potemkin, so I've some experience in the matchup.

To comment on Task A - yes, flicking it is very important, but there are three things you have to keep in mind if you commit to 63214S:

a) Task A is 2 hits. If you flick the first one, the second is still coming.

b) Flick takes time. Bedman player can use Task A to bait flick, then 3H > empty Deja Vu to stay safe while you're taking hits

c) Projectile from flick is very slow and predictable. While it covers a lot of screen, Bedman can always dash into it, so be ready for that.

Basically, don't get overly predictable. Flick the projectile sometimes, both on first and second hit, other times just block or better yet, jump over it.

I usually block the first hit and flick the second to reset the situation if the Bedman goes in, but I think I'm loathe to jump because the bedman I play assumes you'll jump so does j.S to block that avenue.

Fun thing in this matchup, if bedbro does task A' (the one where he teleports after it touches you) in neutral, you can flick it and combo buster while he is staggered. This only works if the ball makes contact with the front of your character model of course.
