May Board's Thread http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/10203-xrd-may-vs-sin/ Pros - 236H cancels her projectiles, hits her out of attempts to set summons and shuts down horizontal dolphin approach - 6P shuts down all dolphin approaches Cons - Very difficult to anti-air her j2H - Can low profile 236H with her 3K, though this is a hard read General strategy - Focus on winning neutral with grounded footsies. Beak Driver, 6P and fS completely shut her down. - Position yourself such that you avoid her jumping in with j2H and deny her any offense.
Renegade Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Definitely have success against better players than me in this matchup. Beak Driver is REALLY difficult for her to deal with, as it counter hits her out of all of her summons and even beats horizontal dolphin. Her only real answer to it is to slide, and that's really risky for her. 6P is also really good to toss out, as you'll counter hit dolphin approaches and leads into 214S combos. While 6H whiffs her on crouching HIT, it does hit her when she's blocking it, allowing some abuse of it's + frames and jump cancel ability.
Dreiko Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 May can 3K under Beak Driver but that's about it, kinda. Also 6P owns dolphins too hard for her to deal with so it seals her options in that way too. She still has good mixups off of knockdown but neutral is hell so we wanna keep it in neutral.
