Lord Knight Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Do 3c anyway and do the proper combo for the proper position, there is no reason to be burning meter on 3c[m] combos unless you're playing vs Carl.
ATGMantenbo Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 The problem is that 3C doesn't link well to her Bnb combos at mid screen. The only thing I have is 3C hold D release iad 5C Haku rapid dash JBC Tsubame. But that costs 50heat so....Any recommendations? when this happens to me, I go with 3C hold D release iad jC three dragons, after that you have to predict which way they will tech. if they backward or neutral tech, go with 2c tsubame .......... etc. 2c and tsubame are air unblockable unless they barrier block, so you have a good chance of resetting off 2c and tsubame. if they barrier block your 2c, link it to 5c instead of tsubame and pressure them. if they tech forward, i usually go for a grab.

Well that's the thing, Litchi has trouble linking a combo from 3C because I'm not even able to 3C hold D release iad jC three dragons. The third dragon always whiffs at mid screen, I then get grabbed, so I won't be able to do any 2C loops. I know I have more combo options if either Nu or me was backed to a corner but for some reason they never use 6D in those situations.
Nakkiel Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 You need to get in to training mode then and practice your combos.
EyeLovePumpkins Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 My combos are just fine, and I'm sure that the third dragon will miss(tested it) because Litchi will have her staff back by then. My situation deals with mid screen only, this isn't the case with full screen.
Nakkiel Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 If you can't hit-confirm in to a correct combo everywhere on the screen, then no, your combos are not fine. :/ There are even 3C[m] combos listed in the archive for your ease of learning.
EyeLovePumpkins Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 You must've miss read my post, I can do the combos just fine anywhere. If you went to the training room yourself and tested it, you too will notice that: -the third dragon will always whiffs at mid screen -starting a combo off from 3C at mid screen isn't very effective.
Lord Knight Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 lol You can end in knockdown from anywhere on the screen with a 3c[m] combo, get your facts straight. Any misjudgements just come from lack of experience.
ATGMantenbo Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 3C hold D release iad jC three dragons............... works midscreen while trial and error I discovered a better, easier combo than the one above 3C IAD jC three dragons >> mind games ... works every where on the stage just practice a little more and you'll get the combo down. Be sure to remember the mind games that you can do after the third dragon hits( the combo itself is not very damaging but its power point is the tech traps you can do after it). Doesn't matter if litchi has or doesn't have her staff when she does the second or third dragons as long as you began the first dragon staffless. if you cant get this combo right for any reason, try this instead: 3C D(hold) dash, release while dashing, 6C Dash(or walk depending on distance) 6C(right after the staff hits nu) tsubame Dash 6C 3C >> corner traps I use these combos interchangeably to mix up my game so yeah choose whatever works for you.
EyeLovePumpkins Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 It's timed? I was trying to do Haku, Hatsu, Chun as fast as I could so maybe that's was the problem. I'll try that. Nu would be the only exception where I use the three dragons from a 3C at mid screen, because I usually use it after an overhead. As for getting my facts together, by mid screen, I'm talking about where we begin off right from the starting positions after you hear "FIGHT".

Try to avoid following this advice. Ending a midscreen combo with daisangen isn't really worth it, it's better to try to get knockdown as much as possible. Knockdowns are situations Litchi is very good at. The second combo is also extremely unstable, it's hard to position yourself in a way to consistently hit all the 6C's. Instead, from the position you're talking about, you can do - 5B 5C 3C ]D[ IAD jC haku staff2 tsubame 6C 3C or if you're a bit closer to the corner than that - 5B 5C 3C {D} IAD jC dash 6C tsubame 6C 3C But really, the guide has every single stable combo you need, along with who they work on. From now on just consult that for any combo problems. Let's get the discussion back to how to actually fight Nu instead of pointless combos.
