E For Eugene Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Yeah i mix it up a bit. Some times 5A 6A 66C juggle. Sometimes i even 5A 5B 5C 2C into either 2D since they usually block low. Anyways, what's a good way to punish her SRK staff thing? Whenever i rush in i either forget about it and i get hit and i get looped >_>
ioKain Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 There might be something better, but I use the standard 5C which will give you CH and you can combo after that. Ugh, it seems though that her DP pushes you out, even without barrier. About half the time my 5C will whiff and I'll eat a staff in the head. It might be better to dash 6A or something.
E For Eugene Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 lol, i TRY to bait it. Whenever i do it still seems to hit me as it's falling down >_> Maybe an instant block to 5C since i THINK it has the range to punish? If only Litchi coulden't lead into the loop it would be SO much easier. With that being said, Noel would be easier without her drives. ;o
Halcyone3 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 any1 know of a heatless damaging combo for litchi after a 2D hit while she's crouching (a mouthfull)? best i got right now is this: mid-screen: 2D->6A->6C->6D(yes it combos, weird)->28D->6C->j.C->j.B->jc->j.B->j.C->j.236C (3227 damage) corner: 2D->28D->6C (x3)->BnB (3656 damage) but i think there should be amore damaging combo vs her off of it, any1 got any?
dragontamer Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 In the corner, I'm getting: 2D -> 28D -> (wait) 6C -> 5D -> 236D -> 6C -> 5D -> 5B -> 6B -> 5C -> dropped :-( Its like 4.2k at that point. The first 6C has to be very delayed, Litchi needs to be as close to the ground as possible.
Halcyone3 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 ah, that didnt combo for me so i dropped the option, i probably just messed up my 6C timing too soon, thnx for the info
excelence Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 In the corner, I'm getting: 2D -> 28D -> (wait) 6C -> 5D -> 236D -> 6C -> 5D -> 5B -> 6B -> 5C -> dropped :-( Its like 4.2k at that point. The first 6C has to be very delayed, Litchi needs to be as close to the ground as possible. Interesting I think this should work 2D -> 28D -> (wait) 6C -> 5D -> 236D -> 6C -> 5D -> 236d -> 6c -> (2d -> 28d)/2369c
Circuitous Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I can't get that second 236D to hit. Not without going black beat anyway. Edit: I recorded my attempts but can't find any of the cords associated with my camera. Lame. Edit: 2D > d.28D >wait> 6C > 5D > d.236D > 6C > 5D > d.5B > d.6B > d.5C > d.236D works. 4669 damage. I'll try and record it for when I find the cords. If you don't delay slightly on d.6C > d.236D you only get one hit on d.236D which ends up as 4564 damage. Successfully recorded 1-hit and 2-hit. Just need the damn cords.
DC Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Uh, isn't this the normal bloom loop in the corner starting with 2d? It works on many characters and can be started from 6a also.
Circuitous Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Probably, I was just going off of what dragontamer was doing. *looks for the aforementioned corner BT loop* Edit: I see mention of similar combos but nothing like "Oh btw this is the Bloom Trigger loop" so I probably missed it. Good info is buried in 100-post threads, this is terrible.
madaxe_munkee Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Litchi's blockstrings are really good. I think, that I just need to learn more about them, and figure out their openings. That's what I did with Ragna basically, and I haven't had too much problem since. Noel doesn't have a USEFUL reversal (I'm looking at you arcsys), so it's really important to know any openings that your opponents give you, seeing as how you can't make them for yourself very easily. I usually don't have a problem fighting Litchi, unless the guy is good. When that happens, I often have trouble landing solid meaningful combos. I get the feeling that Litchi players are pretty well accustomed to Noel's weight. I hardly ever play against her :/ What's always key for me, is knowing how to start up my combos. Because once you've got things going, things tend to keep going in your favour. I like playing mindgames with my opponents to screw up their block, but it's hard to keep Litchi under pressure with Noel since, well... I think we know what I mean. If anyone has tips that are along these lines, that'd be great for me.
madaxe_munkee Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Also with Noel, it's always favourable to have your opponent on the ground in my opinion. Any tips for keeping Litchi nailed to the floor?
