How'd you pick your main?

in all the games i play, i fall for the one with great speed and rushdown abilities. i also try to stay away from top tier characters (hate playing the same character that everyone else does, and hate when people use tiers as an excuse for losing). After see Tao and what she can do, thank you taosis, i couldn't get enough.

I mained Gouken in SSF4 (past tense, I HATE that game), and I [am trying to] main Tager in BB. I always like to play low tier characters in fighting games. If a "skilled player has to work hard to pull out wins", that character has me sold. That being said, I'm hopeless when it comes to fighting games, so I pick low tier characters because I know that if I win, that victory was deserved.

I also like having an excuse when I lose...

I had always planned on maining Tsubaki since I heard she was going to be playable in CS. So I tried her out and thought she was incredibly fun to play as mainly because I enjoy her speed and ease of combos. Also, she has red hair, which is a major plus.

Tager, because he's an 8 foot tall steel demon with magnetic fists bigger then half of the cast, can deal half of a guys health in one hit, and doesn't have to hop around like a rabbit with ADHD.

That and he has the best theme. Hands down.

I picked Lambda because I mained Nu in CT. Plus, with all those nerfs, I saw her more of a challenge to use. Also, corner loop is gdlk.

Picked Hazama after i saw a few videos of what he could do and thought that he would be an interesting character to play as, and ended up getting pretty good with him in a short amount of time, but the best thing about him is, when a tager thinks he's got a 720 waiting for you and and you kick his metal ass sky high, ironically though i mained him in CT

I originally started off with Noel due to the whole Gunslinger motif. At first I thought it would be a problem due to certain characters in other fighting games that use projectiles tend to ruin things *coughMinacough* but overall she's not so bad. Eventually I sat down and played with a couple of friends and one of them (jokingly) said: "Noel is a nub character. I bet if you pick someone else up I could beat you." Secretly I picked up other characters but couldn't really get used to them (Still having some trouble using Tao up to this day actually). Then I finally settled with Bang after watching some tutorial vids online and learning about how useful his Guard Point is during Burning Heart. Because of this, I ended up using him more often than I used Noel thus making her a secondary.

Eventually my friend and I faced off again and now he hates Bang. Those were some good times.

I chose Nu because everyone else I wanted to play as had odd combos or were hard for me personally to control. I'm not great with her yet, but I have the easiest time executing her combos and specials then with other characters. She's the first character I successfully did a large air combo with on Challenge mode. I used Hakumen in BB, but for some reason he feels off to me now, so he's my secondary.
