Mu12's Stein placement and traps are up to you, there's really no set formula, full-screen control and pressure are very attractive when used creatively. I find her tools to be very versatile and multipurpose. You can go through every match with a different Stein formation depending on the opponent's style of play. Very glad they're refocusing the character in BBCS2.

In CT I picked Jin because of his ice power and his intro stance.

In CS I picked Tsubaki because her fighting style looks cool, and I already like her character since CT.

I don't think I've ever posted in this thread; I really liked Rachel initially in CT. Her design was basically the perfect mix of characters I already loved, and her gameplay was, at the time, reminiscent to me of Hisoutensoku w/r/t her wind in comparison to their flying. I took to Jin afterwards as a sub because ice is my absolute favorite element, and also because I can't get enough of those fancy motherfuckers. how could i not fucking love him after seeing his 6b goddamn

In CS I reversed the two because Jin was still good and Rachel was garbage. I also picked up around half of the cast as subs and am now eagerly awaiting Platinum.

Looked up all of CT character's bios online and loved that Tao was all happy-go-lucky (perhaps... not the sharpest claw in the paw), energetic, fun loving cat girl ^o^ I prefer to pick my characters based on personality.

I was never into BlazBlue until I saw Makoto. I tried Calamity Trigger for a little bit, but I couldn't get into the characters or get good with any of them. As soon as I saw Makoto and read a description on her fighting style, I knew I had to main her. Bought BB:CS and then the Makoto DLC. Been playing ever since. :)

I originally started as a Jin player in CT. When CS came out, the timings for everything seemed juuust off enough to throw off my game with him. I found I was more comfortable playing Lambda than anything, thus Lambda became my main.

I originally was going to play Ragna or Jin, but the first 30 matches online in CT were ~20 Ragna's and ~10 Jin's. Rebellious teenagerism/"uniqueness" and all that, I then went with Noel, whom I liked about as much anyways.

Rachel is a big reason why I picked up Blazblue in the first place. Like the majority of people, Guilty Gear was the big reason I even knew about Blazblue, and I kept up with the updates. As every character got announced, I wasn't really too excited. Noel was the only one who was appealing to me for a while just cause she used guns. But I'm a zoner at heart, as I've always played zoning characters. Then Rachel was announced and I raised an eyebrow to her. I kept an eye on it until footage was released of her being played, and I was hooked. I was like "I WANT TO PLAY THAT CHARACTER. SHE LOOKS FUN." CT came out, and I had a blast playing her. I liked how hard she was to learn and how unique her fighting could be because of her wind. Then CS came around... and I was convinced I was done with Blazblue. The nerfs were way too much for me to deal with and I was really upset. I wouldn't have had a problem if she was PLAYABLE, but they nerfed her beyond reason.

When the console version was coming out and Mu-12 was mentioned, and I watched her for a bit, my interest was slightly re-ignited. So I picked the game up again and picked up Mu. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. She reminded me a lot of Dizzy, and even more so when they released the Dizzy color costume for her. She plays very comfortably to my style, and having started with Rachel, I picked her up rather quickly, and is who I play now. With the Rachel repair on the horizon though, I've started picking up Rachel again in preparation for when she finally becomes playable again.

I was watching GGAC matches on youtube one day, and I was really impressed with Kaqn's Jam. Upon searching his name, I stumbled upon a video or him playing Ragna vs Reria's Nu... it was the first time I had seen a BB match. Nu's blades were coming out of everywhere on the screen : in front of her, in the sky, even from behind Ragna himself... and I didn't understand how the hell he did that. I was so impressed that I decided right then to main Nu in the game. Then, while learning more about BB, I discovered Rachel : a goth loli who beats up her own minions. I was sold. Eventually I found her micromanagement type of gameplay really fun, even moreso than Nu's, so she became my main and Nu became my sub.

So I unknowingly ended up with the two most broken characters in the game. I stuck with these two for CS, and while it's been a really painful road as a Rachel mainer, I feel it has forced me to surpass myself in order to be able to squeeze out wins, and with BBCS2, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel...

I saw Tager and thought, "....Oh my dear lord."

But no in all seriousness...

I probably picked Tager simply because i really love power characters; ones that can really turn the tables within a few attacks or one really big one.

Not trying to say i can just get owned and then easily turn it around, which you CAN do; but i just love really manly characters like that.

Bang is manly too, not trying to say he isnt.

I started out with Taokaka because she was the quickest character in the game and I tend to go for speedy characters because they can usually make openings a bit easier than the rest (That, and I'm a furry, so it was a slight appeal of lolfurry and omgcute), but once CS rolled around and most of her moves went to reaction-based things, such as jump C being more noticeably active on button release and the increase of inputs and longer combos....well, I moved onto Tager because he went from almost nothing to a small BnB that has some delay between loops which helps a bit. Plus, with me struggling with Autism, it makes the learning a bit easier.

And then there's the many variants of gimmicks, and the options that follow after each. I mean, take a look at Mike Z. It's like every tournament, he busts out something new that catches people off-guard and wow, since all the other characters are more straight-forward techniques and hard-coded combos. Plus, I like the concept of punishing other players for the mistakes they've made, or walking into traps.

Hmm...I started with Noel because I Drive-spammed a victory my first time Blazblue at the arcade. After it came out for consoles, I played Noel for a long time, almost immediately disliking drive in favor of trying to do lots of things with Silencer. After my girlfriend started playing and picked up Nu, I subbed and eventually mained Hakumen.

When BB:CS came out, I picked up Hazama for a while and then played Tsubaki as a joke. Eventually I realized something: Even though Rachel is bottom tier, she still gets a lot of love. Tsubaki doesn't at all, poor girl. So, I decided to main Tsubaki because no one else wanted to and fight some nice uphill battles. It's way more fun than being on top in my opinion, battles get intense and with Tsubaki's piss-poor damage output, drive and moves, every little jB hit counts :).

When i first bought BB, i thought, hey, an anime fighting game, i think ill play it! But then I saw the characters, oh lawdy. Ragna looked like some "Bawww my past im so agnsty" Jin looked like a huge faggot, Rachel looked like she didnt even belong in the game, Carl has a damn doll with him, arakune looks like soup gone bad, Litchi was just some random skank, Nu was LOLSWORDS, I couldnt stand Noel's constant whining, tager was too damn slow. I thought all the characters were terrible, and right as i was about to give up on the game, i saw him, a pinnicle of all that is right in the world. As my character select icon hovered over his portrait, i knew, im going to the top with this guy. And that, was the first time I played as the Great, the magnificent, the Awesome BANG SHISHIGAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i always play teh female characters <3 and tsubaki is extremely cool, and her hair is what makes my world go round. On the other hand, i am a furry, so i had to play makoto desperately because shes sooooo kawaii and her tail is soo fluffy and huge and squirrelly. (i have problems ._.)

I originally started playing Rachel, but never got really into her playstyle (though I've been considering picking her up again and making her my sub for a long time now). After I decided to move on from Rachel, I went around the wheel and just played a bit with everyone, got the feeling for their moves and whatnot. Stopped at Tager for a little bit, but eventually decided I wanted someone a little quicker. I had almost made my way back to Rachel when I found this little boy and his sister. I honestly couldn't put my finger on why I liked the little guy so much, kept telling my friends "there's just something I like about him". I could barely move Nirvana (and actually amazed myself by learning how to walk her), but I loved the complexity of the character. I stuck with him, learned to really use him.

After CS came out, Carl suddenly played like what I wanted him to play like all though CT and I knew I would main him all over again.

I tend to gravitate toward characters with more traditional move sets. I'm also a major fan of sword characters, since they tend to have a slight range advantage over other fighters, but I also like fast characters. After trying out each cast member a bit, I figured I would probably like to main either Ragna, Jin, Hakumen, Bang, Noel, or Tsubaki.

I decided that I wouldn't want to play as Tsubaki, simply because I wasn't too keen on her range options. I considered Noel for a while, but I found myself turned off by her having 4 guard primers and the damage output of her normals. Hakumen was a very tempting option since I loved his range and damage, however I couldn't stand his "hop" of a dash. Bang was a lot of fun to use, but after doing so much challenge mode stuff, I simply got sick of seeing him, and I wasn't a big fan of his english voice acting. That left me with Ragna and Jin. So I took the only course I could left me and chose what I understood to be the less popular option at the time.

And that's how I chose Jin. It also helped that Jin was better at long range than Ragna.

I tend to always use Female characters anytime I get the chance too. So I'm biased there, but I end up liking them more. Rachel was basically just calling to me! I loved how she spoke most of all...<3 Ueda so much.

Nothing really wow about it. Since I don't really sub main anyone specifically(I use Makoto and Lambda) but those aren't much close to me. So....yeaaaaaah. :D

I like playing girl characters. I like guns. I like rush down characters(Viper and Cammy main in SF and SSF4). I like big damage. I like flashyness and style all over the place. Noel was all that in CT and more. She's basically the reason I got into BB. Plus, she looks really cool when she takes off her beret.

Now, i'm liking her squirrel friend more though cause she's more flashy, she's more rushdown and mixup, and she's way bigger damage. She doesn't have guns though, but tonfas are almost as cool as guns.

Sadly, at first I tried out Carl, never could get the hang of using Aida. Played around with Tager,, found him to be too slow, and overpowered in my eyes..Tried Noel, and fell in love with her loops back in CT. Now its like I married her but everywhere I look there's more attractive women, but I still love her as my first and only.

Noel is the one of my favorite characters I can ever control because she has the easiest movelist. Noel is my love... Even if I didn't win in any online matches, I'd still practice with her every now and then... ;_;
