Best Characters vs. Kokonoe and Relius?

Hello, all.

TL;DR: Title. 

I'm relatively new to the fighting game scene and don't know much about matchups, gameplay, etc. and need advice. My friend just got me into BBCPEX as my first fighting game, and he plays Koko and Relius. I've really started to like Bullet and Tager because although they have slower, more complex inputs for their moves that do damage compared to a bunch of small, precise, and fast moves that don't do as much damage but do a bunch in a string, like Makoto. However, Tager and Bullet are really hard to play against Koko and Relius, seemingly near impossible, so I was wondering if their was any one character that fit into the places where my characters fell short so that I can start practicing them too? Thanks.

It's probably better that you just invest time into the character you personally want to play because if you just pick up a counter pick then your friend is going to probably learn that matchup and still win even though it's not in his favor.

I feel like Amane, Jin, Mu, and Ragna have been pretty difficult for my Relius this go around.

Don't expect instant results though. Polt is 105% right though, you should just learn to do well in the match-ups; learning a counter-pick is a lot more effort.
