Don't misunderstand though, I don't hate zoners, but in general I personally just prefer not to fight them. That's why it's at the bottom of my list lol. But does that make sense? I suppose it does. Reminds me of why I can't stand certain characters myself tbh.
Arcus Diabolus Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 People who refuse to just slow down and learn to input commands correctly (looks at my oh so guilty friend). He will mash normals over and over trying to be stylish with distortion drives and specials, giving me full reign to take a step, land a CH 5C and then proceed to force him to lose half his HP in a single combo. During which, he'd be complaining lightheartedly how he was blocking or how the game didn't let his special go off and just proceeds to do it again. Granted, he's new and all, but its one of those things that makes me need to take a deep breath.
Myoro Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Annoying playstyles? None that I can think of immediately. When people make me have to be patient or adapt, that's just part of them making me a better player. As long as it's within what the game allows you to do it's all fair play really. The only nuisance is not having an answer at all, and owing that this game is somewhat competently balanced and has a good human element to it, that can be changed most of the time with research, clever playing, an' a lil' more effort. If there were a ton of actual impossible situations that could be used in serial succession to take a single player's influence out of the game completely I suppose I'd hate the style that uses those. As long as there's a way to victory I'm content. Under that view, I suppose the most annoying playstyle is the one where people do the same thing time and time again refuse to adapt, instead opting to blame their opponent or the game for their failure with the expectation that doing so would fix anything.

I have to admit, this can get pretty annoying, at least if I'm telling my opponent (nicely, I might add) what he's doing wrong and he refuses to take my advice at all. In some cases, this also goes hand and hand with my post, in a sense.
ViolaSorel Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the type of people who mess with their connection on purpose to fight under lag I mean I get that it's a strategy but damn that's kinda cheap, especially for people who have tight executions on their combos and block-strings.
Angry Guy of DE Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 People that lose and then can only comeback saying that they would win if this was online. Either that or people that then say that I would be feed for them in League. What is a feed? Are they horses in that game?
oh no, he said Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Feeding is when you repeatedly die to people on the enemy team, giving them gold and EXP and making them a lot more powerful and likely to snowball off of your teammates because the advantage in stats and items. If they're trying to bring it up in fighting games then they sound like huge scrubs to me. I've never heard anyone say they'd win if it was online before, though I have had my share of people saying they'd win if it was offline. Annoying playstyle imo is anyone who spams wakeup reversals. I like continuing my pressure and blocking the reversal for the 38475th time before continuing just feels annoying. If it's someone who only throws out a reversal every now and then there's satisfaction in reading it, but when it's EVERY TIME they're in knockdown state it just makes me sigh.
Penguinator Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I don't care about playstyles; if they lose, it's their fault and if I lose then it's my fault. It might be because I'm still very new to the game (started with Xrd Steam release, which is the first fighter I've tried to play seriously), but in general I don't get angry or frustrated at games. In fact, I usually laugh at my mistakes, at least when they're really big or surprising. In general, I get more annoyed against Axl's hopeless matchups, ie. Venom and Chipp. The latter is painful but at least one good read or random counterhit confirm nets you good damage, but former is a complete pain in the ass the moment things return to neutral. Also, both have unusual wake-up timings that ruin my okizeme. That being said, taking even one round against experienced players feels so good that I'll keep playing the matches.
