What kind of mod? And do you have a USB stick? And most importantly, do I feel like explaining how to do this?

Posted

Er, I have a cheap tape + tissue modded slim PS2 with Swap Magic, no USB stick, do you feel like explaining? I have no idea. Looks like it's time for me to get a USB stick. >_>

I know about the converter, you can search for it on google. I would just like to know how the heck do you unlock / stages. So far it's unlock ggx and gg mode and after one hour of play booya, ok did that nothing worked, 20 hours of game play, did that too nothing worked. Is there any explanation.

i know about the allien in london in AC, but i've never seen before in slash (just when he is hidding behind the statues) even with all the time that i played it, that was a surprise to me.

Hey, I obtained AR Max and a USB drive, I copied your save to my PS2...but it was a default save, or in other words: Nothing unlocked. ;_; Any ideas and thanks.

Well, with AR Max you need the data to be converted to a .Max File, this kinda sucks, but there is a program that can convert your Save Data into a .Max file for USB use. Try going here: www.exploitstation.com You'll probably find what you're looking for there....or perhaps more. :D

Problem Solved.

If you don't know how to use it, there's tutorials on the net.

Well, I downloaded a save from gamefaqs, from the user Mimeblade (that's you, isn't it?). It was a .Max lol. So I was just wondering what went wrong, I'll probably try again later though, thanks.

I found something weird. Don´t know if it has been already post: Once you unlock / backgrounds, you also get the XX ones. Go to a Slash stage, hold L2 button (i have respect on this one) and then you´ll go straight to the past.

That's fucking crazy. Now I'm kinda wondering why they didn't offer XX, Reload, and Slash versions of the characters in this game.

Sweet, thanks guys ! I miss good old sunset Colony and eye-bursting Nirvana (both GGX), but having #R stages is a nice surprise. LM_Akira, this book looks good ! May I ask you some questions ? Could you describe what is the content of this Complete Guide please, I may buy one too. Is it only technical stuff or are there also some artworks, for instance. I'm more interested on the Johnny part, if you could just say what are the kind of information it consists in (the table of contents should do the trick) and also the number of pages dedicated to him, that would be great. What differences are there between this Complete Guide and the mook ? And can a non-japanese reader understand most of it, thanks to images and icons ? :v: Thanks !

Hey LM_Akira, you said that it had every character's stage but I don't see Kliff/Justice's listed here!

Seen as tho they're not in the game period, how would you be able to pick #R versions of them? Perhaps I should have written "every stage apart from Kliff and Justice, because they're not even in the game" then. Every character who is in Accent Core has their old #R and Slash stages EXCEPT obviously there is no #R version of ABAs nor HOS's stage because they were new in Slash.

Mitsurugi:

As with every XX game as far as I'm aware, the Complete Guide is released after the Mook (which is an arcade guide really) and is written about the console version of the game. In this case, it's for PS2 and Wii (the Slash CG was PS2 only obviously).

If you don't read any Japanese it will be pretty hard to make out a lot of the info in it.

The CG aso covers quite a lot of things the Mook does but it is a much smaller size publication. Because it is aimed at the console version of the game, it includes several interesting new things;

Colour palettes for all characters (Normal, EX, Slash and #Reload).

Combos for EX characters and/or some combos for GG and GGX mode characters.

The lowdown on exactly how to the play the game from scratch (as with the mook) but also stuff on how to do GG mode IKs.

It has a complete list of all the unlockables in the game, all the artwork in the game (small pics) all the levels of survival mode, info on the bosses and SP chars etc.

If you're talking about Johnny as an example, it has 6 pages on him. It has normal and EX gatling lists, talks about each chars best normal move moves (it doesn't list every single one like in the mook) as well as differences in EX, GG and GGX mode chars.

It has move lists and frame data for EX chars as well as all the frames like hit/block stun charts, backdashes, GUTs rating, throw ranges etc etc as in the mook (tho mook doesn't cover EX, GG and GGX chars obv).

Hidden stuff like Sol's special DI, Dizzy's hidden IK and other things...

Possibly some character specific stuff in their sections, e.g. Sol's section has hitbox data on how to score CLSWs against everyone.

So that basically covers what the GC has in it.

Visually it doesn't but it might have some description of arcade/console changes in the written text, my Japanese is fairly crap. But there are no screenshots of any bugs/glitches.

Really big thanks LM_Akira ! Awwww, too much "secondary" stuff for me, such as EX chars and GG Mode. I was hoping it would be a kind of summary of all the Arcadia issues and even better, with in-depth match-ups, when to SB wisely and such. Well, I still may buy it but more as a collector item than a "training book". Even if I don't understand a single word ! :v:

It's not an Arcadia/Enterbrain publication (as far as I can tell) so it doesn't actually include anything from Arcadia issues already published. Although suspiciously most of the combos are near identical to those in the Mook lol. The actual frame data is more basic than that in the Mook too. Kinda like a collectors thing really, the Mook is the real meat and potatoes.
