DaiDensetsu Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) Hi. It's not about the game mechanics and I'm alright with both but what bothers me is the graphical changes. I feel the original portraits and character select screen ...etc is more fresh and original. It's my personal opinion and honestly one of the reasons I got attached to xrd is the original graphical aesthetics like portraits. I guess the one thing I don't really like about those would be the bright red and blue backgrounds of the portraits used in matches, but it's really a minor thing. The portraits themselves are barely any different, just some more shadows and very small changes. In my opinion some look better and some look worse than the old ones. I haven't even thought about the character select screen. I guess I'll pay more attention to it next time I watch some Revelator gameplay. When it comes to the visual upgrades, like the new shading and special effects, I can't think of anything I dislike about them. I find them pretty neat.
Poultrygeist Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 That's not preferring Sign over Revelator, that's preferring the visuals of Sign over the visuals of Revelator. There's nothing wrong with that, no, but the way you worded it is a bit inaccurate.

The visual upgrades in the fight looks cool but the portraits/UI is what I'm talking about. Sorry for the confusion. I feel the old visuals are more simple and appealing. I think all portraits changes are noticed except characters hiding them faces lol
ChexGuy Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I like the new HUD more (especially the round start/end overlays) but the round timer still looks kinda eeeeeh.

Vashimus Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I don't really like the blue orbs that fly out when you land a blue burst, to show that Burst gauge refilled a bit. It's just unnecessary, it was fine before and I never heard any complaints about it. Other than that, Rev's visuals are great.
