  1. Those are character initials to note for whom the combo works on or just which character the combo was tested on SO - Sol MI - Millia FA - Faust PO -Potemkin et cetera example: (SO: 115) - combo works on Sol and does 115 damage on him at full life
  2. I'm a bit out of the loop, but was there any significant backlash regarding no English audio in Revelator? I've read posts here on Dustloop from people who were upset about it, but I can't recall seeing much about it on social media. edit: I can see Blazblue being a whole other beast, since the series probably has a larger following of people who're more interested in the story and stuff.
  3. This please. As it is, I have to do put in work myself and we can't have that. I have a bit of trouble landing this combo on Elphelt. Only managed to do it on Elphelt once out of many tries. No real problems doing it on Sol though. Would be nice with some sort of universal midscreen RC combo like WayTookFoxy mentioned.

    Raven Q & A

I'd like to add a question here since I spent some time playing around with Raven in training mode. I went through the Raven notes from noraneko that someone posted here earlier: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s296/sh/f5d7fda2-5ab2-4c88-bd44-8e76b176e7e7/22cabd906a4c255f922fa28aa5098fc9 I was looking specifically at Raven's options after scoring a knockdown and the notes list the following in the setplay section: The superjump airdash looks like it works pretty well, but I find it a bit tricky to space sometimes. What I'm having problems with is making j.H whiff to land and go into an immediate low with 2K. I can do it fine with j.P if you do it early and I found that I can do it with j.H if I do very late, but only if the opponent is crouching and doesn't have a big hitbox. I also noticed that if they are crouching you can, depending on your timing with whiffing j.H and superjump angle, sometimes also land behind them for a really quick 2K crossup. So I guess my question is, can someone tell me if it's possible to do the superjump airdash j.H whiff into low if the opponent is standing? I just can't seem to do it without j.H hitting, no matter my timing. Perhaps my spacing is bad, but I've tried superjumping both straight up as well as backwards but I can't get the j.H whiff to happen. It's easy to do with j.P, but that one is a lot more telegraphed since you need to do it early. edit: Gave up on the super jump. I guess I'll just do regular jumps instead since I can get that to work consistently.
  5. Quick response! Looks like Zappa's voice actor was the only one who didn't change. Thanks.
  6. Did anyone with the Japanese version of Revelator watch the credits to see who voices in the story mode? It would be interesting to know if they changed any of their voice actors or not.
  7. Are you only referring to the portraits and UI? I guess the one thing I don't really like about those would be the bright red and blue backgrounds of the portraits used in matches, but it's really a minor thing. The portraits themselves are barely any different, just some more shadows and very small changes. In my opinion some look better and some look worse than the old ones. I haven't even thought about the character select screen. I guess I'll pay more attention to it next time I watch some Revelator gameplay. When it comes to the visual upgrades, like the new shading and special effects, I can't think of anything I dislike about them. I find them pretty neat.
  8. As you said that's the mirror match theme. I was referring to one instance during one of Jonio's streams where the game was paused in sparring mode versus Johnny and his theme could be heard clearly without any sound effects or similar. Unfortunately I still haven't been able to find it. I've gone through a couple of Jonio's past broadcasts, but I'll keep looking. Unless I'm missing something this one still has a lot of gameplay going on.
  9. I think there was one point during Jonio's stream a few days ago where the game was paused in sparring mode with Jhonny's theme going. IIRC it had time to loop at least once. Jonio has all his recent streams archives, but I don't even remember which day it was. I'll try to go through a few of them and find it in a bit.
  10. I don't really know much about the voice acting business or where to look, but I can't find much info about Manami Komori's other work. Any idea why she didn't return to voice Jam? Did she retire or something? I've always had this preconception that Japanese voice actors were really dedicated to their work and would all jump at the opportunity of reprising one of their past roles. edit: I guess I could drop another question while I'm at it. I looked up some Guilty Gear voice actors listed on the first page of this thread and from my googling there were quite a few of them that I couldn't find much info about. Anji's voice actor; Toru Igarashi, as well as Dizzy's voice actor; Kazue Fujita would be two examples. Does Arc System Works have a history of hiring "no-names" to voice Guilty Gear characters or is it simply that this information isn't easy to come by in English and that my Google-fu failed me?
  11. I know what Shigekazu is talking about all too well. In Xrd I stopped playing the character I found the most fun to play, because said character was technical and I had a very hard time getting any wins. So I lost my motivation and started playing characters I found easier, who I also got more wins with. This wasn't very satisfying or fun so I started hopping between almost the entire character roster and I also avoided stronger players, which obviously didn't help me either. In the end I pretty much dropped Xrd and I only play it very casually with a select few people anymore, all because I couldn't seem to improve and got tired of losing. Now that I think about it, I find it somewhat embarrassing.
  12. I've gotten pretty consistent with the super jump IAD, but I haven't taken my I-No out of training mode yet, so it's probably better for me to use the ordinary IAD if/when I take her online. The combo charts in I-No's wiki article are really helpful and I've tried a bunch of them so far. When it comes to execution I still have trouble transitioning from hover dash to air dash as well as combos from j.D that go j.D > VCL > 5K > stuff. I can't seem land the 5K and I was wondering if it was because you need to fast fall the VCL by doing an air dash before the j.D instead of a hover dash, or is it supposed to work for both?
  13. I will have to jump into training mode and try that out I suppose. Thanks. I guess it would also be easy to remember to use the super jump only for FA, SO, IN and MA. So far I've mostly played I-No against Sol and May so I've just started using the super jump all the time. I had forgotten how detailed I-No's entry on the wiki really is. I'll be sure to give it all a thorough read. I didn't mean to take over this thread with all my questions, but I appreciate the help. Cheers!
  14. After the FFVCL I always ever continued with HCL>followup for knockdown. I didn't realize you could do other things from there. My mistake. I misread your post, missing the part about the super jump.
  15. Thank you for making this thread. As someone who just recently started getting the hang of I-No, I have a few thoughts and questions. I feel like I can't land the j.K if I use a neutral jump, so I do 956 for the IAD or 2956 for the sj.IAD. I also tend to default to doing the super jump instant air dash every time for midscreen combos since it seems to work for me. Is there any reason I shouldn't be doing that? What's the reason for the 63 input? Shouldn't 2147+K be enough? I've had some real trouble with hoverdash > IAD. This seems like it might be easier than what I've been doing, so I'll go ahead and try it later. Thanks.
